Chapter 7- Thoughts

"Are you looking for this?" Luna said, showing the brown wallet.

Mira quickly looked behind her when she heard Luna's voice. She looked at Luna's hand holding her wallet.

"Yes," Mira answered but didn't reach out to get her wallet. She's nervous that Luna might question her about the necklace. The more nervous she is inside, the calmer she is outside.

Mira and Luna made eye contact for a moment, but it seemed to last a long time.

"Here."

"Thank you."

Luna walked out after giving the wallet and didn't wait to see if Mira would talk to her or not. They only talked once, and she wasn't expecting more than that. But something added to her thoughts again.

Prima, who was left alone, followed Luna and observed her. Seeing her deep in thought now, she couldn't help but be curious.

"Are you thinking about Mira?" Prima asked out of the blue.

Luna, who was too focused on her thoughts, nodded her head.

"Why?"

"I'm thinking— " Luna, who realized what was happening, stopped abruptly and then gave Prima a side-eye.

"Hahaha, come on now, tell me, it's not like it's something important, right?" Prima insisted playfully.

Luna contemplated and told Prima about her exchange gift with Mira.

"What? And you didn't even tell us?"

"It's not a big deal."

"Okay, fine. So, what were you thinking earlier?"

"I'm just curious. If you don't wear what was given to you by someone you really don't like, it's understandable, right?"

"Of course. What's weird about that?" Prima asked, ' I knew it, it's a big deal after all ' she thought

"Right? I also understand that part, but what if that person actually hides it somewhere she will always see on her body, and only she can see it?"

"Doesn't that mean she likes you? Like, all the people around know that you two are rivals, so not wearing it is normal, but keeping it always by her side means she likes you."

Luna froze after listening to Prima's understanding. "Impossible."

"Don't you like her too?"

"I don't like her, and she doesn't like me either."

"Then why put it around her body when she could leave it at home?"

"For... motivation?"

"You're smart, but not smart enough."

"Let's end this topic here. I'm going home."

Prima shook her head and updated Tina.

Mira, who was left behind, tightly held her wallet. ' Sigh, why would I think that Luna will get mad if she found out I'm not wearing the necklace? '

Mira bit her lips, feeling a little disappointed. She continued walking out of the school and decided to ignore that feeling.

The people who were watching quickly posted the video of Luna and Mira's encounter again. People were enthusiastic, and some were invested in these two top students that even the teachers found out. Thankfully, it's under control, and the main people involved are not aware.

Monkey King: Holy crap! Are we watching a live drama? If they ended up together, I will die!

Sage: They are both girls.

Einstein 2.0: Homophobic?

Sage: I'm not! I'm just saying, will it work for them? They are both girls and rivals at that.

The only normal: Fool. Let me, the only normal, explain. Being rivals is always the start of a beautiful story. Also, girls falling in love with girls is not a strange thing anymore, we have something called same-sex marriage now in our country.

Most handsome: Ton (The only normal) is right. Besides, it's not like we are expecting more in real life, we are just shipping them. It's not like they are both in a relationship right now, so just enjoy.

Green: That's right.

Sage: I see, thank you for enlightening me.

Author: Too bad though, they are about to graduate.

Green: We still have a week.

The only normal: Don't worry, guys, I will make more videos.

Author: We are counting on you.

Luna came home and went straight to her room, no one was at home as today is the opening of their new restaurant. Even with all the money they have, her mother doesn't really want to rely on her family fortune, and so she is.

She lay on her bed to relax, then she looked at the keychain on her phone, remembering what Prima said. She didn't know what to feel or think. ' Do you hate me that much to hide it? Or do you like me to keep it around? Why hide it then? I'm not even hiding what you gave me. Don't you like the necklace? Do you think it's ugly? '

With these questions in her head, she quickly sat up on her bed. "That's right, that necklace is just like this keychain, it works as a lucky charm. She really wouldn't wear that, especially now that the exam is over. Should I go to the jewelry shop to look for something pretty she can wear?"

Luna, who was immersed in her own thoughts again, was awakened by a phone call; it's her mother.

"Hello, Mom?"

"Are you at home?"

"Yes."

"Good, do you want to come here?"

Do you need any help there, Mom?"

"No, we have a lot of people here."

"I see, I'll just go to the store to buy something, then I'll go straight there."

"Good, be careful on your way."

"Yes, Mom."

Luna ended the phone call and quickly changed into a simple white dress. She went straight to the mall in the jewelry shop, looking around when she heard a familiar voice. She quickly hid and secretly observed who it was.

It's Mira with a woman. Luna frowned as the woman's back was facing her, so she couldn't see it. Luna walked a little closer until she saw the side profile of the woman. It's Mira's mother.

Luna quickly pretended to look around while listening.

"Honey, why do we have to come here?" Maria asked as her daughter suddenly called her and asked her to meet in the mall just to drag her to the jewelry shop.

"Your birthday is coming, Mom. I want to give you something. Just let me, okay?" Mira said, linking her arm with her mother.

"Fine, but don't buy something expensive."

"Why not? Consider this a gift for your birthday and regaining your freedom. I won't mind if you go out dating soon, after all, my mother is so pretty," Mira said playfully.

"I'm old now. I would rather see you dating than me. Your looks take after me, so there's definitely a lot of suitors, right?"

"Wrong, Mom."

"Maybe if you try to at least smile to people, they won't be scared. My baby is the sweetest girl after all," Maria pinched Mira's cheeks. It's true that behind the indifferent look of her daughter to outsiders, her daughter is really sweet.

"I'm not."

"Wait, you like beautiful faces, right? Don't tell me there's not even one at school that gets your attention? That's why you keep that poker face?"
