Enemies by Fate, Lovers by Choice

Luna's thought was interrupted when she heard someone calling her name, it's her aunt.

" Luna dear, congratulations~," Her Aunt Rose greeted 

Luna quickly set aside her thoughts and focus her attention to current situation. 

" Thank you Aunt, I'm glad you came," 

" Of course, today is you mother's new restaurant opening day and I know she put a lot of work to make it happen,"

Luna talk to her Aunt Rose briefly then also entertain some guest she knows and also take advantage to get connections as some guest are people she didn't know but seems to be in business.

Lilith watch her daughter interact with different people to greet them and make some small talk, she smile softly watching her go here and there.

" You're daughter has grown to such capable and amazing lady," Lian said who's Lilith's friend since highschool 

" Yeah, seeing her like this taking every opportunity to big or small event somehow makes me realized that she's really serious on the path she chose,"

" Tsk, your family's blood run deeply that Luna even inherited your family's interest on business, I just hope she won't be like those who suck blood of their employees in the future,"

" Hahaha just what do you think of my daughter? I didn't raise her to be just a greedy and inhumane person,"

Lian watch her friends smile, it's rare to see her smile sincerely maybe only Luna can make her smile like that now unlike before everytime Lilith is with that person her smile won't leave her face. Everyone thought it would last until they grow old but somehow everything go wrong. Lilith never smile sincerely again, she suddenly have walls around her that makes people hard to approach her. 

Even when Lilith got married later no matter how much her husband love and care about her, her heart never softened, if it's not for her parents to insist on them having a child maybe Luna won't even exist. But thankfully after Luna came Lilith change a little, her walls became thinner but it never put down but it was enough for everyone. 

Now, Lilith's attention are all on Luna after her husband's death. 

" What is Luna's plan after graduation?"

" She said she will start immediately to work on X-Tech as an intern,"

" X-Tech? Isn't that the leading Tech Company right now? I heard they are very strict and not easy to get in,"

" You know Luna, if she want something she will work hard to get it. She's very ambitious,"

" Yeah, I can see it. Have she told you that she is now the Summa Cum Laude after her great rivalry with the Magna Cum Laude? After four years rivalry in the end she still manage to get the top," 

Lilith was shocked when she heard it to Lian, Luna didn't mention it to her because the last time she talk about this to Luna she thought Luna got the second and that woman's child got the first place. She was speechless and didn't know how to react.

In the end her attention to topic went somewhere," How did that happen? Luna said someone got the first place,"

" Well, it's true but my sister who works there said that the child who they thought would accept the honor suddenly said that she won't and Luna was actually the person who should accept it, what's the name of that child?.. It's in the tip of my tongue.. wait.." Lian tried to remember 

Lilith frown, she doesn't like listening then will be cut off when her interest is already piqued so she said the name," Mira," she didn't mention the surname as it's not necessary 

" Right! Mira! Your daughter's rival at campus, they are tied in grades and the child actually asked the faculty to do a Tiebreaker Criteria and it was proven that Luna really deserves the first place thanks to that child," Lian explained she's not aware about Mira's identity she only listen to her sister's gossip and it caught her attention as Luna was involved 

" That Mira really did that? Why?" Lilith asked 

" Yeah, crazy right? That child Mira is too honest, if it's someone else they would just grab it. Somehow she deserves to be Luna's rival,"

Lilith have a dark face, she felt like suddenly she owed that family a favor although it was proven that her daughter deserves it but because the method was requested by that woman's child she felt uncomfortable. 

She didn't know if there's a motive or hidden agenda but she can't let her daughter be involved to that family, she know her daughter well, just like her, her daughter is someone who don't like to owe a favor to anyone.

Lian who keeps talking finally stop when she realized that Lian had a dark face.

" Lilith?.. Did I say something wrong?" Lian ask carefully 

" No, I'm actually thankful for telling me this. Luna hasn't mentioned it to me, I'll talk to her later, and about that Mira.. can you help me get her contact? I want to talk to her in person," 

Lian was confused and don't understand what Lilith was thinking but she still agree, it's not like her friend Lilith would do something bad maybe she wants to thanked the child. After giving herself an explanation, she immediately contacted her sister.

Lilith on the side was just waiting, today is the opening of her restaurant she's in a good mood but now, she only wants to go back and have a chat with that child on why she did that, she won't believe there's nothing behind it. She look at her daughter and felt that she should warn her not to get close to that Mira although she have said it before she still want to keep repeating it, she won't let her child be close to that Mira even if she had to sent her abroad.

" Lilith, here," Lian showed the number to Lilith 

Lilith memorize the number and thanked Lian, she didn't stay too long and continue to talk to people.

Luna felt chills on her back, she felt it, it feels like something bad is going to happen. Somehow she's not that enthusiastic anymore, she excuse herself and went to her mother's office.

' What is that feeling? It makes me feel so uncomfortable ' Luna did really felt uncomfortable, she touch the four leaf keychain at stare at it her discomfort lessen but it didn't go away.

It was actually not a big deal however to Luna's experience everytime she got chills something bad was bound to happen, and it's always related to her mother.
