Chapter 261: Deadly Sword Strike
Standing proudly in the air, the old man was quite shocked deep inside. First, he didn't know how this hooded young man managed to find out their hideout.
Second, no matter how hard he tried to relieve the pressure on those below, everything was futile.
It was as if he was going against the force of nature.
Unknown to him, his back was already drenched in cold sweat. Since he arrived, he had quickly called the higher-ups for backup. He only prayed in his heart for their timely arrival.
However, that could not be said for the young man below as he looked at him as if he were looking at a clown.
"You… A mere Core Refining ant dare stand before me… not even on the ground but above me… Haha." He pursed his lips, and a smile that was not a smile crept up his face.
"Get down!" He commanded with a deadly sharp gaze.
Bang!
Before the old man standing in the sky could realize what was happening, a powerful force descended on his body, crushing him to the ground.
The sound of his bones breaking echoed in the still tense atmosphere. Crashing to the cold hard ground, a miserable scream escaped from his mouth and a mouthful of blood splashed from his mouth.
A powerful force constricted his lungs, squeezing out the air and pressing very hard on his heart, forcing him unable to breathe. Instantly, his face paled, devoid of blood, and veins protruded. Read new chapters at m_v-l'e|m,p| y- r
His eyes bulged out of their sockets with visible red veins while the sound of his bones crushed slowly.
Pop!
His eyes burst, and the juices splashed everywhere. However, the pressure on his body was far from over. It continued to press down, trying to compress him into meat paste.
"You dare!" A furious shout came from the distance, and a powerful palm attack that covered the sky descended with horrifying momentum.
The hooded young man only raised his head and waved his hand. And behold, the horrifying palm attack disappeared into thin air as if it were not there in the first place.
A gasp echoed from the distance. A middleman led a group of elders dressed in blue and black robes.
The middle-aged man in the front was an expert in the Peak of Golden Core stage 7, while the elders were either in the early or intermediate stage of Golden Core realm.
With such cultivation, his attack was easily canceled by a mere wave of the hand by the hooded young man, shocking many of the elders.
Their previous fury abated a bit, and they slowed down their approach. The man at the front squinted his gaze and looked at the hooded young man from head to toe but couldn't find anything special.
But his instinct was screaming of impending doom. With his years of battle, he knew their organization had met their equal. From the corners of his eyes, he exchanged a subtle glance with the other elders.
Unbeknownst to them, their subtle eye expressions were seen by the young man. He shook his head and took a step forward.
"I think it is time to get serious," he said casually, but everyone who heard him could feel the weight of such words.
Before they could understand what he meant by getting serious, an emerald sword appeared in his hand.
"Shit!" The man cursed as he tried to stop the young man from whatever he was trying to do.
However, in front of absolute power, every attempt would be futile.
The young man swung his sword casually in a race.
The space shook vehemently as a powerful silver light came out of his sword. The sword light was small at the beginning, but in a blink, it got bigger containing an earthshaking power.
The sword light ripped the space apart and traveled at a speed faster than the speed of light.
Everyone who witnessed the sword attack only saw it in a blink before they were split into two halves.
The sword light cut everything in its path into two, leaving a wake of destruction in its tail. The attack went as far as 1 kilometer before disappearing into the void.
The previously beautiful vegetation was in total destitution with a deep sharp crack on the ground, slicing the island into two.
Looking at the destruction before him, the young man didn't have any change in his expression and only muttered. "I'm a bit rusty. I need to fight more."
Whoosh!
With that word, he disappeared from his spot and when he appeared. He was standing before a half-destroyed eight-story building.
In the building were corpses laying sprawled on the ground. Till death, they didn't know how they died.
Hundreds of people from a single attack that came from a kilometer.
However, to the three old people standing before the Reaper building. They didn't seem to care.
Their withered faces were expressionless as they fixed on the hooded young man.
"Who are you?" the old woman at the center asked calmly.
The hooded young man stopped a couple of feet from the three old people and removed his hood.
"You sent your men to attack me and you're asking who I am?" He asked with a scornful gaze.
Before the three old people could respond, he beat them to it and continued. "Before killing you, I want to ask a question."
"Are the Ancient clans behind you?"
A slight shock appeared on the faces of the three old people. They scrutinized the young man one more time, and their understanding of him was now different.
"Before we respond to your question. You answer our question," the old woman said.
"I asked you first."
"Alright. Yes. We're backed by the Ancient clans and this is one of their reaper organizations. I don't know how many they have in the world," she responded calmly.
"Now, my turn. Are you from the Su clan?"
"Yes. I'm Su Yen," Su Yen responded with a nod.
When they heard this, a deep shock appeared on their faces. They looked at each other in astonishment.
"How is this possible?" one of them muttered with a trembling voice.
"How is what possible?" Su Yen creased his brow.
The exaggerated reaction of these three old fogies, he knew there was a huge secret behind his clan name.
"You don't have to know." The old woman regained her composure and released her aura. The pressure that came from her body was the aura of a Half-step Nascent Soul cultivator.
"Since you came here, you can't leave. You must pay for your crime."
