Chapter 262: Fighting a Half-step Nascent Soul Expert - Part 1
Standing before the three Half-Nascent Soul cultivators, Su Yen's expression remained unchanged—calm and casual amidst the charged atmosphere.
The tension thickened around them, a palpable force that could suffocate anyone below the Foundation Building realm to death. The space vibrated vehemently, the sky darkened, and fissures appeared on the ground, crackling with latent energy.
Under this tense atmosphere, Su Yen took a deliberate step forward, his voice cutting through the silence like a knife.
"Let's see how long you three old bones can last with just ten percent of my strength."
"Impudent!" The old man on the right erupted, his face contorted with wrinkles and veins bulging from his forehead.
Without hesitation, the elder dashed forward, vanishing from his spot in a blur of movement. Around him, traces of lightning crackled, not ordinary lightning, but imbued with the profound principles the old man had mastered.
The lightning element was renowned for its speed, enabling the old man to move with unparalleled swiftness. Before Su Yen could react, the elder reappeared on his left with a deadly punch primed for impact.
"Abyssal Lightning Punch!"
Bang!
Su Yen barely had time to register the attack before it struck him squarely in the chest. A streak of lightning surged towards him, intent on penetrating his defenses, but Su Yen's formidable sword intent shredded it to pieces in a dazzling display of power.
Despite this, the force of the elder's punch sent Su Yen hurtling through the sky, his body soaring five hundred meters before crashing into the earth below, carving a deep crater upon impact.
The ground trembled beneath the force of the collision, sending shockwaves rippling outward. Dust and debris filled the air as Su Yen struggled to regain his bearings, his chest aching from the impact of the blow.
As he rose to his feet, his expression remained stoic, betraying none of the pain he felt.
From his expression, no one could guess what was going on in his mind, but the old man didn't care. He appeared before Su Yen like a phantom, launching a barrage of heavy punches.
Each punch left behind tens of afterimages, accompanied by trails of crackling lightning. But this time, Su Yen was ready.
Despite the onslaught of deadly punches in less than two seconds, Su Yen defended against each one with ease.
The raging sound of their fists colliding reverberated across the now still island.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Su Yen and the old man ascended into the sky, exchanging blows with incredible speed. Their fists crackled with terrifying energy, and the void trembled, on the brink of tearing apart.
In the distance, the two other old cultivators watched the terrifying battle with their jaws dropped to the ground.
"Leader, do you remember the Su clan having such a monster?" the old man to the left asked, his voice tinged with disbelief.
Their leader, the old woman, did not respond immediately. Her gaze remained fixed on the deadly skirmish in the sky, an impossible spectacle for mortal eyes to comprehend.
"I don't recall them having such a monster. Not only from the Su clan, but from other clans as well," she finally responded, her tone laced with concern.
Huh!
The old man sucked in a cold breath, his eyes flickering with uncertainty as he glanced at the old woman before returning his attention to the battle unfolding before them. "I can't imagine the chaos this would cause if they knew they had such a monstrous descendant."
"Indeed, we can't imagine... But it won't be small, and this our small world might not survive it," the old woman murmured, her voice heavy with foreboding.
"Should we report it?" the old man asked, his tone hesitant.
"Report what?!" She turned to him, her gaze piercing and sharp, cutting through the uncertainty like a blade.
The old man felt his spine drenched in cold sweat, a shiver coursing through his body. He knew he had just stepped on a mine, and if care was not taken, he might explode to pieces.
"L-Leader…I'm just concerned about us, that's all. We don't need to report it," he managed to respond, his lips trembling with fear.
Averting her gaze, the leader responded sternly, "This is not the time to play one of your useless schemes. We have bigger problems to deal with right now."
The old man wiped off the beads of sweat from his forehead, sucking in a cold breath in relief as the words of their leader registered in his brain. What did she mean by they had bigger problems to deal with?
He furrowed his brow, lost in thought, but he didn't have to wait long to understand what she meant.
From the distance, a ball of lightning, traveling at a speed faster than sound itself, came crashing from the sky.
Boom!
It crashed to the ground, and the island trembled. Dust and debris rose up into the sky like a mushroom cloud. The deadly shockwaves spread over 5 kilometers, destroying all the trees and vegetation in its path.
A massive crater, with a radius of over five hundred meters, was formed from the crash, and at the center of the crater lay an old man covered in blood. His robe had turned to tatters.
He groaned, grimacing in pain as blood flowed from his major orifices. He whimpered and struggled to open his eyes, filled with shock.
He looked at the young man hovering in the sky, and his heart skipped a beat.
'How is this possible!' He screamed in his heart.

In the distance, their leader and the old man froze for a couple of seconds, their eyes widened in absolute shock as they watched the devastation unfold.
A Half-step Nascent Soul expert, on the brink of becoming a Nascent Soul cultivator, was beaten blue-black by a young man no older than 20 years.
Moreover, they couldn't detect the cultivation realm of the young man, but they believed it wouldn't be higher than theirs. Yet, the result of the battle left them stupefied.
Meanwhile, in the sky, Su Yen looked down at the destruction below, and the corner of his lips curled upward slightly. "I knew I'm still lacking in battle experience, but from this battle, I've learned a lot."
A bright smile spread across his face as he observed the old man on the ground struggling to get back on his feet.
"It's time to finish him," he mumbled, diving downward with deadly intent.
However, before he could get closer to the old man, a terrifying blaze caught his attention from the corner of his eyes. With lightning-fast reflexes, he changed his target.
Without a moment's hesitation, he swung his arm a couple of times, attacking the waves of terrifying fire.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Under his continuous assault, he managed to push the fire away and escaped unscathed. Standing behind the flames was the last old man, surrounded by a wisp of fire.
The temperature in the atmosphere dropped hundreds of degrees, and everywhere became exceedingly hot.
"Are you sure you're from the Su clan?" the old man asked, still in shock, unable to believe such a monstrous being would emerge from the Su clan.
"I've already answered you. If we're going to fight, let's fight. Stop asking me stupid questions," Su Yen responded, his voice laced with determination as he dashed towards the old man, ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead.
