Chapter 1

A white portal opened in an unknown place, and a child of about ten years old was thrown out of it.

His figure was skinny, without a single gram of fat. Dark scarlet coloured hair, with blue eyes and a pleasant face that once seen only once, would be hard to forget. He wore only an old-looking white robe torn in several places. This boy was the Titan's Saviour, Eros.

- Huh? - Eros exclaimed in surprise when he saw his hands and touched his face, "What the hell is this, why am I so small and...? MY POWER!? - he could no longer feel the same strength that he had before, with which he could lift giant buildings into the sky and smash everything left and right, - Again, it's all over again!? You've got to be kidding me! - Angry, he kicked the nearest tree with all his might....

~ Crack.

- OUCH! IT HURTS! My leg! - screamed the boy, grabbing his leg, - DAMN TREE! As soon as I get my power back, I'll rip you out by the roots and burn you to hell!

Perhaps if this tree could speak and have emotions, it would be surprised by the behaviour of the boy who hit it and promises to burn it.

- Okay, I need to calm down," he sighed and let go of his leg, "I guess my cuckoo has gone a little bit from too much time spent in the darkness.... I'm even talking to myself and threatening the tree," Eros said with a slight sigh as he looked around him.

He was surrounded by tall, lush trees that completely blocked out the sun. A nice fresh breeze was blowing, large bushes were growing nearby, and the ground was covered with bright green grass. It was a very beautiful and mesmerising sight.

"I could see such beauty in reality only in my life before last, and in my past life only on an emulator, but it was impossible to experience such a pleasant feeling there," Eros thought nostalgically, the edges of his lips lifting slightly.

~ Rustle.

"What's that?" - Looking to his right, he saw four kids, three boys and a girl, coming into the clearing towards him.

- There he is! - shouted the healthiest and oldest of the children, pointing his finger at Eros.

He had dark red hair tied back in a ponytail, eyes of the same colour, and rather rough features, especially the scar on his right cheek. He was wearing simple white trousers and a sleeveless T-shirt.

- Don't let him escape! - The guy hissed angrily, looking at Eros, "Do you realise what you've done?! - Because you ran away, three of our brothers were killed as a lesson to us and ordered to bring you back or they will kill the others!

Eros was shocked to hear this. After all, they are children, just children... But he says such terrible things, what kind of scum would do such a thing?!?

- Rick! Stop!" - when they were already a metre away from the frozen Eros, a girl's scream sounded, stopping the children.

- Lily, what is it? - The boy asked in surprise, looking at the girl.

- It's not him.

- What do you mean, it's not him? - Rick said in shock.

- I've seen Leni many times and I can tell you for sure that it's not him! - replied the girl firmly.

- But then... Where is that bastard, we've been looking for him for the third day and nothing! - he said angrily, a bright orange flame lit up in his hand, taking the shape of a ball, which he threw at the tree....

Instantly it was engulfed in flames and after a couple of seconds it burned completely, leaving only ash in its place... And Eros folded his hands together and covered his eyes...

"Rest in peace tree, even though I wasn't the one who burned you..."

- But what do we do! - Rick sullenly muttered as he fell to the ground, a worried Lily running up to him and stroking his head, trying to calm him down.

- Let's keep looking, don't despair," her dark hair fluttered in the wind and her brown eyes were filled with bitterness and fear for her friends. Her appearance was rather ordinary, but something was drawing attention to her.

After a moment, Rick looked up at Eros....

- I have an idea," he said with a slightly trembling voice.

- An idea? - Lily asked in surprise, looking in the direction the boy was looking... And apparently realising something, she shuddered sharply, - NO! We won't do that! We're not them!

- We have no other choice," Rick replied sadly, "In two days the deadline is coming up and then all of our brothers and sisters will be killed!

- But... maybe there's another way out? - she looked at the boy with pity, but he shook his head sullenly, -Rick...

- Lily, I'm sorry," he smiled faintly, putting his hand on the top of the girl's head and gently stroking her head.

- What to do? - A chubby boy with dark hair asked.

- Capture him, we'll pass him off as Leni, I can safely say they've never seen him in person.

- But... - a trembling voice whispered in the other boy's ear.

- We don't have a choice Nick, and if it's between my family and an unknown boy," he was silent for a moment, "I'll choose my family!" he said. - Rick looked at Eros and lowered his head, "I'm sorry, but there's no other choice.

- I understand and I don't blame you," Eros said with a slight smile, "I'll go with you.

- Really? - The chubby boy asked in surprise.

- 'Yes,' replied the titan, making all the children feel very unpleasant, 'Show us the way, I take it you have hardly any time left?

- Dd-a, let's go," Rick said in a shaky voice.

A day later. The Pass.

Eros was tied to a tree and the kids were sitting off to the side discussing something.

"Eh... And I've only just been reborn..." - He thought sadly as he looked at the children.

- Sorry... - Looking to his right, the titan saw the girl who was looking at him with pity.

- It's okay, I probably would have done the same," he said with a soft smile, "Can you tell me who you are and how you got to that place?

- It's... - Lily looked at the boys, -Yes, but the story will be short.... - She sat down next to them, her eyes filled with pain and directed to the sky, -We're all from the same village... Doken, it was small and everyone knew each other, it was a peaceful village, but one day we were attacked and there was a massacre, - the girl shuddered, but pulling herself together, she continued, - They killed everyone.... even the cattle, but they didn't touch the children. When they finished, only the children were left, and then they... they-- They took us into their guild," he lifted her sleeve and saw the tattoo of a half-open coffin on her shoulder, "It's the sign of the Dark Dawn guild.

- Dark guild," Eros said thoughtfully, "If there are dark guilds, then there must be light guilds too, right?

- Of course," the girl replied confidently.

- Then why didn't you ask the light guild for help?

- We can't, because there are still many of our friends in their captivity, and if we ask for help, then....

- I understand, don't continue, - Eros sighed and tried to smile encouragingly, - Let's close this topic for now, can you tell me how your friend was able to create fire in his hand, - he was very interested in this question, but hearing the girl's story he realised that he was back in the world where power is the most important thing and if he had it now he could help these children.

- It's magic," the girl replied with a sad smile, "But among us only Rick can do magic.

- Wow!" he exclaimed "surprised", "Who taught him?

- He was taught in the guild.

- Will you tell me how to use it?

- Okay," said Lily, smiling slightly, "To use Magic, a Mage must use the Magic Power in his body. The Magic Force is the source of power for all Wizards, made up of Aether. Each Wizard has a container in their body that determines the limit of their power. And when the magic power runs out, the Wizard needs to rest for a while and it will be replenished. And to create fire like Rick, you have to concentrate and push the magic power out of you and think about what shape you want to give it. - The girl scratched her cheek in embarrassment, -But before you start using it, you have to know what school of magic you belong to, and that can be determined by a special ritual or item.

- I see, thank you, Lily.

- Mm-hmm. I'm glad I could help you. Oh, Rick's calling me, I'm gonna go.

- Sure," the girl nodded to Eros and ran off to Rick.

"So..." - he closed his eyes and concentrated, sinking deeper and deeper into himself. He was trying to 'feel' the magic power in this way. Eros had once been able to master his powers under his father's supervision, so it shouldn't be a problem a second time.

Half an hour later, a smile appeared on Eros' lips, he was able to grope for that magic power, but.... He had two completely different ones, the first one he could control and release outside his body, but the second one he couldn't move even a millimetre, it was as if he was trying to move a mountain using only his little finger. But the titan didn't stop trying and each time he took a smaller and smaller part of the magic power.... But even after an hour, it wouldn't budge.

It made him angrier and angrier every moment, and when he was about to start swearing in his voice, a miracle happened. Eros chipped away a piece.

In front of his eyes, he created a small ball.... When he saw it, the titan felt as if a bucket of cold water had been poured over his head. After all, he could not recognise this power. The ball gave off the same feeling as the stone he had once found on a dead planet.

But it was only similar, even though it was a second short, he was able to fully feel that power. Eros simply couldn't be wrong in his judgement.

But one thing he knew for sure, this thing had to be released as far away from himself and the children as possible, otherwise they wouldn't survive.

Without thinking long, Eros launched this balloon into the sky..... It wasn't even a minute before there was a massive explosion.

- Rick! What's that? - Lily exclaimed fearfully, hiding behind him.

- Don't worry, it was far away from us," he frowned, "We're getting out of here.

- Yes!" the children answered in unison.

Untangling Eros, they ran again.

- Rick, what could that be? - The chubby kid asked.

- There are probably two strong mages fighting," he said thoughtfully, "So we need to get as far away from the battle as possible so we don't get caught by accident.

- Yes, then let's speed up! - The fat boy said fearfully, and instantly sped up, surpassing even Rick, who was considered the fastest among the children.

The children laughed out loud at this surreal picture, it's not every day you get to see such a miracle.
