As he was about to pick up her robe, a herd of goosebumps ran down his back. A terrible bloodlust descended on the entire chamber, making him shake and sweat trickle down his forehead, -W-Who are you?! W-who are you?! - He looked around until he saw a boy of about sixteen, with long scarlet hair tied back in a ponytail, wearing a grey T-shirt and black jacket, the same trousers and black shoes. On his chest hung a brooch in the form of a golden lion's head. His previously blue eyes had turned scarlet.....

- Don't come near her, or I'll kill her! - The masked man tried to grab the girl, but before he knew it, he was in a steel grip, and his gaze was fixed on the scarlet eyes, -I-I don't want to die, n-please... -he felt the grip tightening, and with every second it became harder and harder for him to breathe, his eyes were filled with horror....

Eros only came to his senses when he heard a quiet sob. He abruptly put the warden down and ran up to the girl. The Titan cut the rope and lifted her into his arms.

- Come on, stop crying, that man is gone, no one will hurt you," he tried to speak as softly as possible, trying to calm her down, "Come on, I'll get you out of here..." the next moment the girl started kicking and Eros had to put her down on the floor.

- Who are you?! - She took two steps away from the titan and asked, wiping her tears, -It's the first time I see you and your clothes... Are you one of them?! - The girl exclaimed and abruptly took another step back, her face creased for a moment.

Eros had already checked her condition, she had many bruises all over her body, as well as a few whip marks, but the wounds were not deep, apparently they had not hit with full force, so as not to accidentally kill her. The Titan wanted to help her, but he didn't have the strength to do so.

- How did you come up with that? - No, I'm not one of them, I came here to save you," the titan added, examining his face and digging in his pockets.

- Save...?

- Yes, by the way, what's your name?

- Elsa... Elsa Scarlet," the girl replied firmly with a sniffle.

- Nice to meet you Elsa, and I'm Eros, - she looked at the titan with distrust and nodded, - Will you tell me about this place?

- You came to rescue us without even knowing what's going on here?

- Um... yes..." Eros replied with embarrassment, seeing the disapproval in Elsa's eyes.

- This place is called the Tower of Paradise and it was created for one purpose only, to resurrect Zeref. That's what these people said.

- Hmm... - "Resurrect? Is he dead? The Flame Bringer said that Zeref is immortal and can't be killed, so what makes them think he's dead?"- Did they say anything else?

- They said they were going to resurrect him using the R-system," the girl said thoughtfully.

- That's how... - Eros had found records about this thing before, but it said that all the towers were destroyed, all seven of them, and that's very strange. And there are still other questions related to the resurrection itself, because it requires two things: firstly, a mage whose power is close to the level of the God-Elect, and how were they going to twist such a monster? And secondly, 2.7 billion units of magic power, which is a colossal amount that can't be gathered even by uniting all the magicians on the continent, "Where were they even going to find these two things?"

- Mister you...really came to save us?

- Yes.

- Alone?

- No, with your "friends" - ready to stick a dagger in your back at any moment, - Let me get you out of here for now.

- No! I want to help, I'll be useful!

- Erm... With what?

- I... I know this place well and I can lead to the other slaves!

Eros looked thoughtfully into Elsa's eyes and saw that she was determined to stay and help. He just couldn't help but cringe when he saw that. And it would be nice to have someone to help him not to get lost in the Tower of Paradise, because there are a lot of passages crossing each other.

- Eh... Okay, I'll do it," Eros sighed and took out two simple silver rings from a small pouch, "Put them on.

- Why?

Eros pulled out two more rings and after putting the first one on, he disappeared.

- А?!

- This ring will make you invisible," the titan explained, taking it off and appearing in front of Elsa, "The second one will muffle the sounds around you, so say less and put them on.

Putting them on made her invisible to everyone but Eros.

- Now show me the way to the cells where the rest of the slaves are," the girl nodded with a serious face and left the room, the titan shot a red ball at both corpses, which consumed the bodies and the rope, leaving the room empty and only small traces of blood on the floor.

It took them quite a while to make their way around the place. And the further they went the better the road got, and the walls were replaced with bricks, boards, tools and other things for building. Also the number of patrols increased, and some walked with rather strange pink-coloured "beasts", something like dogs, without fur and eyes, their mouths up to their necks. As they came past the patrols, Elsa constantly flinched, looking back at them as if afraid she might be discovered. So Eros took her by the hand, the girl, of course, was against it, but the titan paid no attention to her "resistance" and only after ten minutes, she realised that it was pointless to resist and accepted it.

- You piece of shit, work faster!

- Please, I can't take it anymore...

- You can't?!

- Please don't over... AAAAAAAA!

And such cries were not isolated. When they left the tunnel, they came to a large open space, in the centre of which were huge four columns connected by planks at a height of ten metres or more. On them were the overseers, who were watching the slaves, who were chiselling blocks of stone with pickaxes, others were carrying blocks of stone, and still others were joining the boards to make the outlines of huge buildings, just beyond the columns.

"What are they building anyway?"- Eros thought with disgust, "There was nothing in those records about the interior of the tower, because it was going to turn into a huge lacrima anyway... Then why are they doing it?"- The titan continued to watch everything, especially the strange flying objects above the slaves alerted him.

Each slave wore two bracelets with a red stone about the size of a ping-pong ball, from which a white beam went straight into the object.

As they got closer, Eros immediately frowned as he realised what it was. That very beam was the life energy that was flowing out of the slaves into the flying object. Once he got to that point, it wasn't hard for him to figure out how these bastards were going to accumulate 2.7 billion units of magic energy.

Eros felt a tug on his arm and lowering his gaze, he saw Elsa's frown as she pulled him towards the stone staircase to his right. The Titan nodded and followed her.

They easily bypassed the cultists and as they climbed to the top, Eros was surprised to see many chambers separated by stone walls. And also in the distance, he saw another staircase, upwards. Elsa pulled him towards one of the cells, which contained several children and an old man, who looked in their direction with his eyes ajar, making Eros very surprised. No, he didn't see them, the old man felt someone's gaze directed at him.

"The mage... And he wasn't weak before, but this place has drained him too much..."- the titan thought regretfully, "And since they were able to twist him, I was wrong to think that there are only weaklings here, perhaps the 'boss' of this place is elsewhere."- While Eros was thinking, the girl slipped into the cell and approached the old man.

- Grandpa... Grandpa Rob..." she whispered, but it was as if the old man didn't hear her, still continuing to sit on the small mat in the lotus pose, for a moment there was panic in the girl's eyes.

Eros walked over to her and removed the ring from her finger, while continuing to look at the old man's face, feeling a real shock as he recognised him. The Titan had been in Makarov's office many times and had often noticed the picture on the shelf, which showed six people: Makarov, Polushka, Yajima, Goldmine, who had left the guild and founded his own called "Quattro Cerberus", Bob, who had also left the guild and founded his own called "Blue Pegasus", and Rob. Makarov told about him that he had gone missing on a mission and after spending five years searching for him, he had never been able to find one of his closest friends and teammates. But even now, Makarov hasn't stopped looking.

- Grandpa Rob.

- Elsa? - the old man whispered in surprise, looking around, -Where are you, I don't see you.

- Grandpa," she looked at Eros with puppy dog eyes, he only sighed heavily and nodded, but showed five fingers, "Five minutes? - The Titan nodded.

The next moment, the girl took off her ring and appeared right in front of Rob.

- Oh... Are you okay? - He smiled softly and put his arm around Elsa.

- Sis! I'm sorry! - A crying boy with blonde hair ran up to her, -It's my fault... I... I got scared... And... and... and... and...

- Sho, stop it, I don't blame you for anything, it was my choice....

- Sis.

- Elsa, how did you get here and...? - A dark haired boy, a head taller than Elsa, approached her.

- A man helped me," and she looked at the spot where Eros had been earlier, "And he said he would save us.
