fate: Ragna's Journey

Chapter 8: Test

While everyone was staring at Ragna, he was also gazing at them with a gentle smile on his lips. Ranga fixed his gaze on Saber.

If the real Ranga were here, he would undoubtedly have attacked Saber. Saber resembled a dragon in human form, and as Ragna looked at him, Saber felt uneasy, as if Ragna was a bitter enemy.

This silence lasted for a few minutes before Lancer broke it, cautiously asking, "If it's not a problem, may I ask who you are?"

Lancer stared at Ragna intently, and Ragna smirked in response, "I am the master of Caster."

This revelation shocked the masters, especially Waver. None of them could believe that a master could be this strong.

From the moment Waver saw Ragna, his body began to shake, as if he were a rabbit facing a lion. His instincts screamed at him to run. He had felt this way when seeing the Servants, but the intensity was unimaginable. He felt like an ant facing a giant, a giant who could easily crush him.

The other masters felt the same. Even Kiritsugu, who had fought in battles that were literally hell on earth, felt this sensation. He could likely sense Ragna's power better than any other master. His hands trembled.

Kayneth gritted his teeth. Even someone as proud as him felt fear. He mentally communicated with Lancer, "Lancer, entertain him. I want to retreat."

Lancer heard Kayneth's voice and replied, "Leave it to me, my master. Please retreat quickly to a safe place."

Sweat dripped from Lancer's forehead, and a smile of excitement appeared on his face. "It's fine. I'll invite you to a battle."

Ragna easily saw through Lancer and Kayneth's plan but smirked. "No problem. I also want to test the power of Heroic Spirits."

Lancer spun his spear and looked at Ragna. His gaze was serious and determined. He pressed his feet firmly into the ground, took a breath, and suddenly charged at Ragna with speed so fast that the human eye couldn't perceive it. The spear darted toward Ragna's heart like a snake, but Ragna caught it with his hand. Lancer's eyes widened. Suddenly, both the spear and Lancer's hand began to freeze. Being an experienced warrior, Lancer quickly retreated a few meters.

The ice around his hand and spear shattered, and he charged at Ragna once more. But no matter how hard he tried, his attacks were easily neutralized by Ragna.

"Damn, I knew he was strong, but I didn't expect him to be this strong!" Sweat dripped from Lancer's forehead, and a helpless smile crossed his lips. However, what impressed him the most about this person was his skill. How much effort must he have put in to reach this level? Lancer's eyes sparkled with excitement. "I want to see more, see more of these amazing skills." Lancer, without getting discouraged, continued to attack Ragna.

"Looks like we're in trouble," said the rider watching the fight.

Waver clenched his fists and angrily punched rider in the chest. "It's all your fault!"

Weaver's blows were so weak that the rider didn't even feel them. The rider shook his head. "I didn't expect it to turn out this way."

If anyone was more surprised than anyone else, it had to be Saber. He, who had fought Lancer before, knew his power better than anyone, but now, Lancer was being played with so easily by this person. It was clear that this person wasn't taking him seriously, or else he could easily defeat Lancer.

Lancer's attacks were becoming faster, but still, it didn't matter. No matter how hard he tried, his attacks were ultimately neutralized by Ragna. His body was covered in ice, and just getting close to Ragna caused his body to freeze. But had Lancer given up? No, Lancer was excited.
