Chapter 79: Killing four-star magical beast.

The system tells him some more stuff about the beast.

Internally, he says to the system, 'Thanks!'

Externally, he had a calm and thoughtful expression. After a three-second delay, Whittaker calculated the best course of action. 'The spike-shell Earth rager will not be able to attack me if I can reach 31 meters above the ground,' he thought while touching the earring in his ear. The Azure Sky earring had an ability that can let him fly. 'Hehe, maybe the Azure Sky Earring was handed over to me for this very purpose!'

This earring was purposely set as a reward by Elder Zachary, a reward that anyone can obtain if they complete an F-ranked dungeon as an F-ranked awakened in less than 15 seconds. Also, this reward was something that can help the inheritance trial challenger fight against the 4-star beast.

With a single thought, the snowy-haired boy activated the power of the earring. The Flight spell was invoked and he felt weightless, almost immediately, he started to float upwards. As he reached some meters above the ground, the countdown ended so did the mana wall which separated Whittaker and the 4-star magical beast spiked-shell earth rager.

The distance between Whittaker and the 31-meter mark was narrowing, the monster discovered him speeding upwards and It widened its mouth and let out an ear-piercing battle cry. It raised its gigantic metallic hind legs, using the "Rush" battle skill, it charged towards the boy, who gulped his saliva but his hopeful eyes said it all.

The beast was too far away, and it didn't want Whittaker that was moving towards the clouded night sky to escape. The sky of this place was fluffy silver. A full moon shone, scattering faint silvery rays throughout the intermediate trial that shook from the loud and ear-wrenching roar of the magical beast, whose tail whisk towards the petite body of a young boy. Although the tail swipe was so fast that wind waves were generated but before it could even reach closer, Whittaker had taken to the skies, as he was using both spells of the Azure sky earring, "flight" and "boost speed"!

The scene was like a fantasy from a children's fairy tale combined with the horror of real-world ugliness. A single-action decides life and death. One wrong decision could have meant the end of Whittaker's life at the start of this trial ground.

The beast swiped his tails some more times at Whittaker, but it didn't reach him. On the other hand, an icy-colored glow came out of the Frost spellbook, illuminating the young boy, and from the Frost spellbook, six frost bolts came flying out. Whittaker intentionally placed one Frost bolt on Its forehead while the other five Frost bolts crashed on the elephant-like sinister eyes of the magical-beast that cried out in pain as they pierced the seething scarlet eyes, tearing apart some of its vision.

Like always, Whittaker was merciless in his actions, and he attacked where it hurts the most. The beasts should thank the heaven that Whittaker couldn't locate its nether region otherwise, it would have felt what 2000 years of pain feels like.

Whittaker didn't give it any time to recover, his Frost spellbook kept on hurling Frost bolts towards Its eyes while Whittaker used Frost elemental control, and executed some hand signs to also use telekinesis on the Frost bolts to increase their speed and love them some of them according to his own will.

In reply, the beast waves his tail in front of its face to break the Frost Bolts, but some of them move according to Whittaker's thoughts and successfully evade the tail attack. Right after, they crash in Its eyes causing it to bleed. Its eyes turned more scarlet than before as blood seeped out.

This situation continued and the one-sided beating lasted for a while.

Feeling pain and losing its vision, the 4-star magical beast gets enraged. Its shell tilts – and the rocky, sharp spike is targeted at Whittaker who hears system mechanical voice.

[Guardian, get ready! The spike-shell earth rager is gonna use its most powerful innate ability!]

When he heard the system notification, a beaming smile formed on his face. 'Finally, I can end this battle.'

He has been waiting for this moment for a while. He immediately called out the name of his new spell, Frost Elemental shift. The target he decided to switch place with was a frost bolt that he had planted near the forehead of the beast.

On the other hand, a magic formation forms around the shell of the magical beast, right after, the 9-meter long and 5-meter wide spike came storming towards Whittaker, who was no longer there.

The Frost spellbook had released an unnoticeable flicker, and Whittaker had switched places with the frost bolt right when the Earth spike shot out of the shell. In his place, a Frost bolt appeared while Whittaker appeared in the same position where the frost bolt was placed.

Furthermore, he held a thirsty Blood Drinker in his hand!

Elder Zachary's eyes opened wide in surprise,

"Nina, did he just teleport?"

Nina replied: ‹Well, yes, in a sense, he literally teleported ahead by some meters!›

He thought, 'Frost mage and blood swordsman teleporting are unheard of. He shouldn't be able to do it unless he possesses a unique type of bloodline! Maybe, he is from her clan." His eyes opened wide due to a realization. "Yes, he has snowy-hairs, just like her, just like the member of her clan!"

Whittaker raised his sword and brandished it in a downward slash. His S-ranked sword fired out three streaks of Scarlet sword light shaped like a claw, which pierced Its forehead and drilled 10-meters deep, splitting the head into the three, just like a half-peeled banana.

Blood gushed out like a flood dirtying Whittaker, who starts floating away under the mournful deathbed cries of the magical beast.

The magical beast's with injured eyes could not even notice what was happening before it met its end. It didn't have the time to dodge as it still hasn't noticed that Whittaker wasn't in the place where it saw him just a second ago!

A second after, It dropped dead to the ground. The blood gushing out of its opened head formed a small pool, upon which Whittaker gracefully landed.
