Genshin Impact: I Became The Son Of Greater Lord Rukkhadevata

Chapter 21: Chapter 21: Yu vs Ei

Yu opened his eyes and saw a small, blue-haired girl leaning against his bedside. Her eyes drooped heavily with sleepiness, but no matter how hard she tried, she just couldn't seem to fall asleep.

"Ganyu?"

Yu called out softly.

"Yu… bro, you're awake…."

At this moment, the two Raiden sisters were each busy with their own tasks. The arts of Inazuma—cooking, medicine, tailoring, and other life skills—had all been passed down by the elder sister, Raiden Makoto. But now, she faced an unprecedented problem.

According to that little qilin, this particular god fought battles while riding on her back, sustaining a staggering 3,600 stabs during the combat. The diligent little qilin had carefully counted each one. Later, the god had caught a falling meteor with his face, spent several hours soaking in a shark's stomach acid, and was subsequently crushed under a giant Thunderhelm Lawachurl… Yet, all these were minor issues. His regenerative abilities were so absurdly strong that even Makoto was tempted to cut him open and see what he was made of.

Meanwhile, the situation with the Geo Archon's little princess had stabilized. She was now a quiet little girl, peacefully asleep without making a fuss.

Meanwhile, Ei was fiddling with the Summit Shaper she had picked up. She couldn't help but think it was a fine blade, though it seemed wasted in the hands of its current wielder. She began pondering how she might convince him to part with it.

"Your wounds have mostly healed, but I can't guarantee there aren't any iron fragments left inside you," Makoto said as she examined the pile of weapon and geo fragments beside her. They had been painstakingly removed during Yu's unconscious state. The corroded remains weighed several kilograms and bore heavy erosion from Dendro elements.

"Thank you, Lady Makoto. I feel much lighter now, like my whole body is renewed. I don't think there's anything left—no need to trouble yourself further," Yu replied, his gaze lingering on Makoto, who bore an uncanny resemblance to the woman who had once mocked him.

"Ganyu, we should go. We can't keep imposing on Lady Makoto. Let's head back and find that little girl's parents."

"Okay! Goodbye, Lady Makoto!" Little Ganyu waved her chubby hands enthusiastically.

"Wait, there's one more thing!" A cold female voice suddenly called out, startling Yu enough that he almost tripped. Turning around, he saw the woman who had once taunted his poor swordsmanship. How could someone with such a gentle, motherly face say such harsh words?

"What do you want?" Yu, still holding a grudge, didn't bother to hide his hostility.

"Your sword is quite remarkable. But your swordsmanship is clumsy, unable to bring out its true potential. If you're willing to trade, name your price—I'm sure I can offer something you'd want." Ei's hand rested on the Summit Shaper, which she still hadn't returned.

"Not a chance. End of discussion."

Yu's refusal was blunt. Though the sword didn't suit him and he found wooden sticks more convenient, he just didn't want to trade it with her.

Ei's expression betrayed a hint of disappointment, but she wasn't ready to give up just yet.

"Think about it carefully. Your swordsmanship is so poor—wouldn't it be better to exchange the sword for something more useful? This sword is highly valuable."

Makoto: …

Makoto couldn't help but think her sister was hopeless—too straightforward!

"That does sound like a tempting offer," Yu mused aloud.

For a brief moment, Ei's expression relaxed, a subtle trace of joy showing on her face.

"Daga Kotowaru!🗿(I Refuse!)" Yu declared emphatically. (JoJo-style rejection!)

Ei's delicate face crumpled in frustration. What kind of person is this?

But Ei wasn't someone who gave up easily.

"How about this—we duel. If I win, the sword is mine."

Yu's interest was piqued. As someone who thrived on combat, this proposition aligned perfectly with his inclinations. He never considered the possibility of losing.

"And if I win?"

"Name your terms. As long as it's not too outrageous, I'll agree."

"Alright, let's begin!"

Word quickly spread that Ei was about to duel someone. A white-haired fox caught wind of it and arrived with a playful smile, followed by a group of curious yokai.

"Well, well, it's been a while since anyone dared to challenge Ei," the fox remarked.

Ei took her stance, wielding her naginata with practiced precision. Meanwhile, Yu simply stood there with the Summit Shaper in hand, adopting a casual posture.

The onlookers couldn't help but murmur among themselves, skeptical of Yu's abilities.

A tengu boy whispered, "Does that guy even know how to wield a sword? Or is that just how foreigners fight?"

Only Ganyu silently prayed for the kind sister who had saved her, hoping Yu wouldn't go too hard on her.

"Ganyu, does your brother actually know swordsmanship? Even I, who'm not particularly skilled with the sword, can tell his stance is… lacking," Makoto asked, concerned.

"Probably not," Ganyu answered honestly.

Makoto nearly choked on the response. What kind of situation was this? Sure, she knew Yu had an indestructible body and incredible regenerative powers, but… he didn't know swordsmanship?

"Lady Makoto, you don't understand. Brother Yu uses a sword for a different reason than most people."

"Oh? How so?" Makoto's curiosity was piqued.

"Other people use swords to enhance their combat strength. Brother Yu uses a sword… to make things less bloody."

"How does using a sword make things less bloody?"

At that moment, the duel began.

Yu's original position cracked as his body launched forward like a cannonball. He closed the distance in an instant, raising his sword in a powerful downward slash.

Ei's first reaction: He's fast!

However, as the embodiment of lightning, Ei was faster. Even so, she didn't choose to evade—she met the attack head-on, raising her naginata horizontally.

A loud clang of metal echoed through the air.

Ei's entire body sank 20 centimeters, leaving deep marks on the ground beneath her feet.

What immense strength! Ei's arms went numb, but she quickly retaliated. With a swift horizontal sweep, she aimed for Yu's sword-wielding hand.

What she didn't expect was… her attack landed.

Yes, it hit! Out of all the possible responses she had anticipated from Yu, she never imagined her probing strike would succeed. Stunned for a split second, she hesitated.

Yu glanced at the naginata embedded in his hand, unfazed. If it weren't for that weird meteor, I could've taken 3,600 hits easily… Noticing an opening in Ei's stance, he didn't hesitate.

"There's an opening!"

Though his injured hand was temporarily out of commission, Yu clenched his free hand into a fist and delivered a direct punch to Ei's delicate, flawless face.

Ei was sent flying.

The spectators were stunned.

"What a ruthless guy! Using such underhanded tactics in a friendly duel—how despicable! How dare he hurt our dear Ei-sama!"

Only Ganyu knew that Yu rarely bothered to evade attacks.
