Hachiman Hikigaya’s Classroom Of The Elite

Volume 1 Chapter 9: Vicious Chibi-ro

Class 1-B.

When Hikigaya Hachiman entered the classroom, a group of people from Class B was chatting around Ichinose. It seemed like they glanced at him.

Rest assured.

I understand.

Hikigaya averted his gaze, put on his headphones, and leaned on his desk, performing a set of movements fluidly. Once a small group is formed, it’s hard for others to join. Yesterday, the attitude of that Horikita girl made it clear that they didn’t welcome him.

Rest assured.

Hachiman is a man who won’t cause trouble for others.

Sure enough.

No one disturbed him again.

Various cheers and laughter echoed from Ichinose’s side.

Hikigaya opened a slight gap and stealthily observed.

Ichinose was indeed outstanding. In just one day, she had become the center of the class.

The most unbelievable thing was that she had successfully overcome the gender barrier, with both males and females surrounding her. With such a person, moving up to Class A should be just around the corner. Hikigaya silently rejoiced that he was assigned to Class B. With someone like Ichinose, he could take his time accumulating 20 million points, or even not accumulate at all.

But he still had to accumulate.

From childhood to adulthood, he had always been alone. No matter what he faced, he overcame it alone. In times when everyone else was chatting and comforting each other, he faced everything alone.

That’s what a true strong person is!

Hikigaya’s lips slightly curled, his gaze shifting to the other side.

If Ichinose is the central figure among the girls, then among the boys, it’s Chiba, with even a few girls surrounding him.

Clearly, they’re the annoying “successful in life” types. I’ll pass!

Instead of dwelling on this, it’s more important to think about how to get the school to add more Max Coffee.

As the bell for class rings, a middle-aged teacher enters the classroom, and students return to their seats.

I have to admit.

Class B is indeed outstanding.

Even though the teacher seems lenient, almost everyone is in a serious listening posture, with only a few occasionally slacking off.

Much better than him.

Of course, it’s not that he’s slacking off.

In this school, there is no separation between arts and sciences.

He can’t just give up on the sciences, so Hikigaya naturally pays attention in class.

He only learns useful things.

But when it comes to subjects like Japanese language and other liberal arts

Honestly. He’s quite confident in liberal arts.

As long as you pile up fancy words and write various grand praises and compliments, you can always get a high score.

He really doesn’t feel like listening.

During English class.

Hikigaya feels like dozing off, and it’s better for him to self-study. His eyelids start to fight, and he finally falls into a deep sleep.

In his dream.

He feels someone poking his spine behind his back, and the annoying part is that it just keeps poking and poking.

Hikigaya opens his blurry eyes and realizes that someone is really poking his spine!

He turns his head.

A white-haired girl is using a neutral pen to poke his back. Feeling his gaze, she blushes and quickly lowers her head to look at the ground.

He vaguely remembers her name is something… the nameplate has already been removed.

He doesn’t remember the girl’s name, but he thinks it’s called Chi-something-ro, looking at her size, let’s call her Chibi-ro.

Hikigaya looks resentful, and Chibi-ro, with a slightly red face, looks up for a moment and then quickly lowers her gaze to the aisle.

He follows Chibi-ro’s gaze and sees an eraser lying quietly in the middle of the aisle.

Oh, her eraser fell.

Great.

If he were really being bullied by such a shy person, he almost wanted to die.

However, he also has the experience of a miserable failure.

In elementary school, he picked up an eraser for someone with good intentions. However, when he gave it back to the girl who dropped it, the girl kept wiping the eraser with tissues, and in the end, she cried and said forget it.

Hikigaya has forgotten how he got through that situation.

Now, he can’t possibly have such a strong heart. If Chibi-ro says something like that to him, he might really want to die.

So.

He turns to look at his desk partner in the next row, someone named Hime something something Yuki, he thinks it’s called “Himeno Yuki.”

Feeling the gaze,

Himeno Yuki glances sideways, sees Hikigaya gesturing to look down, takes a quick look, then looks up at the blackboard.

Eh, really? No way, did she just straight up pretend to not see it?

Hikigaya is completely shocked.

What kind of scum is this? Or perhaps a devil who likes to snatch lollipops from kids? Hesitating even to pick up an eraser.

Helplessly.

Hikigaya bends down to pick up the eraser and places it on her desk. Fortunately, Chibi-ro picks up the eraser with her small hands and places it on her chest, nodding with a slightly red and pretty face.

Great.

If she had taken out tissues and wiped her hand with it, he might have really cried.

However. Chibi-ro-san, haven’t you dropped the eraser too many times?

Hikigaya remains expressionless.

Dropping your eraser more than ten times in one English class, and he’s been picking it up for Chibi-ro the whole time.

This is going too far!

This is definitely intentional!

Could it be some new form of bullying?

Being bullied on the second day of school is just too miserable.

Wants to die.

Finally, the class ends, and Hikigaya directly climbs onto the desk, closes his eyes. If Chibi-ro keeps poking his spine like this, he’ll become neurotic.

The most crucial thing is, without Max Coffee, he’s really on the verge of dying.

“Hikigaya-san, are you still awake?”

A lively whisper sounds in his ear, and Hikigaya, lying on the desk, looks tense.

It seems like Ichinose’s voice, the one who has been standing beside Chibi-ro since morning.

Is it bullying?

It really is bullying, right?

It’s definitely bullying, right?

Chibi-ro has brought her companions to bully him in the most terrifying way!

Chibi-ro, Chibi-ro,

Didn’t expect you to be so malicious at such a young age; I really misjudged you.

He had offended the central group of the class on the first day of school,

It’s over.

Hikigaya closes his eyes, pretending not to have heard.

If she asks him to go to the restroom, what should he do? He can only beg for forgiveness in this way, escape for now, and figure it out later.

“Hikigaya-san.”

However, she has no intention of letting him off. Hikigaya feels someone gently shaking his shoulder.

Alas, there is really no way to escape being bullied by the central group.

Damn it.

Then they can’t blame him for being impolite.

Well, after all, he’s a guy; dealing with two girls shouldn’t be a big problem.

Moreover, he has experience in this regard; he wasn’t spared from bullying in junior high.

In this situation.

He can only strike first!

He stands up, turns around, and slaps them with the back of his hand, showing his fangs first.

This is the only way not to be bullied.

With this in mind.

Hikigaya stands up with determination!
