Chapter 104: The Last Bot
Alex walked down the hallway, slowly checking the doors. 'I can't see Imani anywhere but I do see stairs that go upstairs so She must be up there. None of the rooms had her or any bots.' Alex thought to himself. He looked up the flight of stairs and nodded, "Alright, I need to focus." He said as he climbed the stairs.
Alex heard a small noise as he climbed the stairs. He slowed down and tried to peek over the stairs. 'There are two bots just standing there… they don't seem to have a focus on the stairs but do occasionally glance over it. They mostly stay in their own rooms but check out to the main hall room every now and then… I'll need to think of something.' Alex observed. He watched closely, trying to find ways that he could sneak past them or take them down in such a way that it wouldn't alert the other bots.
'Let's do this.' Alex said to himself as he up the stairs and quickly towards a nearby table. Hiding underneath it. Alex was only hidden by the table cloth over the table and couldn't properly see what happens. 'I noticed that these bots have a path that they walk and check certain areas of the place… I guess I need to figure that out and take one of them down. After one is down, I can take the other with ease as they don't seem to be watching each other's backs but just watching opposite ends of this huge room.' Alex thought as he tried to make up a plan.
Imani looked at a table on her screen and smiled, "I guess with more practice and training, Hana will be surprised by Alex's performance… But I was really shocked to hear that Hana wanted him to train situations for people instead of reapers for now. I assume it has to do with her checking how the training was going but I feel that something huge is going to happen soon… And the two people who will be in the middle of it are probably Hana and Alex…" Imani spoke to herself.
She then sighed, "I'll ask Master Ryan about this… I only heard that Hana is doing a super important mission and when Alex is ready, he wants to send Alex with her for support… But I don't know the specifics of this. Knowing that Hana wants me to train him in fighting people instead of reapers, for now, makes me think that she wants him to be ready for a stealth or raid mission… Both things require years and years of training for an average person… I heard that Master Ryan wants Alex to join her even though he has no prior training in such things." Imani didn't know what to say. She was just in the confusion about the whole situation.
Imani Shook her head and looked at Alex quietly walking to a nearby wall and waiting for the Bot to get close by to him. "I can't question her actions, She is considered the best of us and her powers… We've never seen her seriously using them… So I guess he will be fire. But I will need to talk to Master Ryan about his decision on sending Alex… My mind can't comprehend why he chose to send Alex instead of anyone else who is more qualified."
Imani shrugged and sighed, "I'm just getting distracted by this topic, I'll just need to focus on the topic at hand, Which is Alex and his training." Imani looked at Alex as he equipped his dagger. She watched as Alex carefully walked behind the bot as it turned it's back to Alex. He then quickly and silently struck the bot through it's next from the back. Unfortunately, The bot falling on the ground made some noise, alerting the second bot at the other side of the large room. The bot turned towards the source of the noise and slowly approached it. It slowly peeked out of the wall to check where the sound came from but only saw Alex's dagger. Alex had stabbed the bot before it could have seen the first one.
Alex then quickly tried to catch the bot before it made any noise from falling on the ground. Alex then dragged the two bots and hit their bodies. He looked down the hallway and sighed, "This is more stressful than I thought." He sighed as his attention turned towards the long hallways once again, "I think I'm closer now." Alex said to himself.
Imani smiled when she saw Alex skillfully take down the two bots. "He might have nearly ruined the entire mission from not thinking about the sound the bots might have made when they fell but he redeemed himself… It's not a perfect execution but it's done pretty well. He needs to improve at other places but seeing his he can learn many moves from just observing them, I can say that Alex will be pretty good within the next two days… I assume that Master Ryan choosing a week for Alex was in some scary way a perfect guess of how fast he could learn… But I don't think even Master Ryan would have guessed that Alex could improve at such a scary pace… It seems like he wanted Alex to improve a little bit but Alex surprised all of us and just hit us with a huge load of improvement… Alex is not close to this room… Only 4 more bots to take down, They're weak, 3 of them at peak C rank, and only one of them at the lower B rank so their powers are close to what Alex can do right now. I guess Alex can do this with some slight mistakes but overall, I have hopes in him." Imani smiled. She turned to the door and looked around the room.
There were three bots all standing around Imani, looking at the door. They seem to be ready for Alex to attack without knowing when.
Alex looked down the hallways and saw a huge door. Outside was a bot pacing left and right, checking down the hallway every now and then, "It's a miracle that the Bot didn't see me take down the two bots… I can only go forward while hiding in the other rooms as I get closer to that door. I can say for sure that Imani is in that room so what I need to do here is take out this bot and go in… Then take out both bots before they can do anything to Imani…" He took a deep breath and ran towards the next door.
As Alex quickly ran down the hallways, The bot in front of the iron door pacing left and right. Alex moved closer and closer to the bot, trying to find the perfect opportunity to attack the bot by being seen the least amount of times.
Alex was at the closes room from the iron doorway. He turned to the bot and waited for the perfect time. The bot turned away and paced to the left. Alex took this chance to run towards the bot and attack it from the back but Alex missed the attack and the bot saw him running towards it. The bot jumped back and took out a long staff. It then looked at Alex and jumped, Aiming to take Alex down.
Alex jumped back, dodging the Bot's attack, and struck the bat, Hitting its core. The bot seems to dot be injured and jumped back. It turned to the door to inform the other bots but before it could, Alex threw his dagger to hit the bot straight at the back of its head. The bot fell on the ground, Making a huge thump Sound.
Alex's eyes opened wide as he ran towards the bot. He then saw the doors slowly open and jumped to the side of the door. One bot exited the doors and saw the bot lying on the floor. Alex took that opportunity to attack the bot from the back and kill it. He struck the bot in its stomach and then stabbed it in the neck, killing it instantly.
Alex then turned his attention to the interiors of the room as saw Imani, smiling, and waving at him. She then gave Alex a thumbs up ad another but jumped to Alex. Alex shook his head and smiled. He stabbed the bot in the chest and jumped towards Imani, "Might!" Alex rushed over to the last bot and punched it in the head. HE then turned back to the bot he had previously stabbed and with a quick strike, He took down the bot instantly. His focus then ran back to the final Bot. It didn't seem to be as affected by the punch as the previous bots. Alex smiled, "It's the strongest bot so far." He smiled.
Imani nodded when she head Alex. She watched as Alex slowly jumped to the Bot with his dagger.
