Hogwarts: Please Graduate Soon

Chapter 100: Hogwarts, Please Graduate Soon, Ch 63.2

"Well, now the young wizards will have to deal with the consequences," he mused.

"Sorry, Severus." Dumbledore finished one letter and opened another, "Your skills in Defense Against the Dark Arts are excellent, but Hogwarts needs you more for Potions."

"Oh, this one states that Quirrell used some means to deceive me, but why did it have to be a love potion?"

Dumbledore put down the letter, a look of relief on his face: "I'm just glad no one has sent me a howler; my old bones couldn't handle that volume."

"Let's stop with the side chatter," Snape interrupted annoyingly, feeling exhausted every time he talked with Dumbledore—so much time wasted without getting to the point.

"How do you plan to handle this?"

Dumbledore looked puzzled.

"Handle what, handle whom?"

"Of course, it's Wayne Lawrence!" Snape raised his voice, "Did you not hear what the Fat Friar said?"

"With his charisma, his ability to rally others, and his terrifying magical talent, aren't you afraid he might be the next Dark Lord?!"

Suddenly, a portrait that had been pretending to be asleep came to life, and Phineas Black exclaimed:

"That's right! I support Snape!"

"How dare he rebel against a professor and incite others to act with him."

"This is outrageous!"

"He should be expelled! He must be expelled!"

"If I were the headmaster during my time, I would expel all the Hufflepuffs!"

The red-nosed Hufflepuff headmaster could no longer hold back and jumped up.

The portrait of Phineas appeared with a punch.

"Shut up, you fool!"

The daily beating of Phineas began.

To avoid being disturbed, Dumbledore waved his hand, and the red curtains covered all the portraits, finally silencing the annoying shouts.

"Severus." Dumbledore clasped his hands on the table, leaning slightly forward.

A series of oppressive gestures left Snape breathless.

"Do not judge our students with malice; he's just a first-year wizard."

"Even now, you still regard him as an ordinary first-year student?" Snape looked incredulously at Dumbledore.

"Can't you see his talent? His ability in transformation is exceptional, enough for graduation, and his potion skills are at the NEWTs level."

"And what about Lawrence messing around with that Selyria shop, earning thousands of Galleons from my students?"

Snape appeared very agitated: "If he's just an ordinary first-year wizard, then what about Potter? Pre-school education?"

"I'm very pleased that our school has produced a talented young wizard." Dumbledore pushed the bridge of his glasses with his middle finger, and Snape always felt that the old man was subtly hinting at him.

"You're not wrong; Mr. Lawrence is indeed remarkable. He is even more talented than Tom."

"But you can't arbitrarily compare the two," Dumbledore stated earnestly as he analyzed for Snape.

"Mr. Lawrence was indeed born into a Muggle family, but his family holds a high status among Muggles, and his character is very bright and cheerful, possessing…"
