Hogwarts: Please Graduate Soon

Chapter 101: Hogwarts, Please Graduate Soon, Ch 63.3

Dumbledore struggled to find a positive descriptor, recalling his investigation into the things Wayne had done in elementary school.

"A fulfilling childhood."

"His family background and intelligence will not lead him down the same path as Tom."

"Even at school, Mr. Lawrence has friends across all houses, in stark contrast to Tom's pure-blood ideology."

"To be honest, I'm a bit envious of his good relationships."

Snape fell silent, but his expression had changed.

There was a brief silence in the office before Snape finally couldn't contain himself.

"So what are you going to do? Act like nothing has happened?"

"Impossible!" Dumbledore looked at Snape in surprise, pointing at the pile of letters on the table.

"So many complaint letters, this has never happened in the history of Hogwarts."

"It's very possible that after this incident, I'll go from the greatest headmaster to the most notorious, surpassing Phineas."

"I must handle this carefully."

"Of course." He suddenly smiled: "Before dealing with Quirrell, I need to consult the parties involved."

"Fawkes, could you bring Mr. Lawrence to me?"

Still in the headmaster's office.

Snape had vanished, and sitting in his place was Wayne.

At that moment, Wayne was all smiles, unable to suppress the grin on his face.

The reason was simple: the notifications in his head were piling up.

He was rolling in it.

"Mr. Lawrence, you seem very happy?" Dumbledore asked curiously.

"Of course."

Wayne smiled shyly: "Seeing that you're not angry, it means my punishment shouldn't be too severe."

"My classmates are innocent; they just wanted to support me. Please don't punish them."

Dumbledore looked kindly at the young man sitting across from him.

"Mr. Lawrence, you are truly a worthy Hufflepuff. I am glad the Sorting Hat recognized the brilliance in you."

The Sorting Hat, perched on a high stool, wanted to say something.

I really can't see why he's suitable for Hufflepuff; he was completely coerced.

The key issue is, the protective tool this young wizard promised has still not been received…

"That hat is going to explode with anger!"

"But I think you might have misunderstood," Dumbledore comforted. "I have not punished you, nor do I have any intention of punishing you or the other students."

"On the contrary, I owe you a serious apology," Dumbledore said sincerely. "It was my oversight that delayed everyone's progress in magic."

"I brought you here to ask for your opinion."

"My opinion?" Wayne exclaimed in surprise. "Professor, my opinions are all in the letter."

"Professor Quirrell should either teach some useful spells in class, or we should get a different Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher."

"But…" Dumbledore frowned, clearly troubled. "Since the term has already started, it would be very difficult to change teachers on short notice…"

"Professor," Wayne eloquently continued, "I've also heard about the curse associated with the Defense Against the Dark Arts class; you might as well send someone to their doom… I mean, it's quite difficult to teach."
