Hogwarts: Please Graduate Soon

Chapter 102: Hogwarts, Please Graduate Soon, Ch 63.4

"But the school year has already begun. If you replace the teacher after Christmas, bringing in a substitute to teach for only half a year, the curse shouldn't take effect, right?"

Seeing Dumbledore's expression, Wayne pressed on, "If all else fails, you could find someone from within the school to fill in."

"I recommend Professor Snape," he added.

"Stop, stop, stop!" Dumbledore quickly interjected, "Professor Snape is already going through a lot; it's not realistic to make him substitute teach."

Old Dumbledore felt a cold sweat break out. This would mean sending away his most capable assistant! The two of them were something else; one looked down on the little wizard and thought of ways to punish him, while the other was so ruthless that he suggested putting him in charge of Defense Against the Dark Arts.

There's a saying circulating in the British wizarding community: If you hate someone, recommend them to teach Defense Against the Dark Arts at Hogwarts.

"Alright, Mr. Lawrence," Dumbledore said softly, "thank you for your suggestion; it was quite enlightening."

"However, dismissing a teacher is not a simple matter; it requires the approval of the board."

"Usually, teachers in that position resign on their own."

Wayne couldn't help but twitch the corner of his mouth. Resigning on their own… What an innovative way!

"I'll have a good talk with Quirrell first and then decide which course of action to take."

"In the interest of your unity and courage, I will grant Hufflepuff fifty points."

Dumbledore reassured Wayne for a moment before letting him leave.

As soon as Wayne stepped out of the headmaster's office, Snape appeared from behind an invisible door, his expression dark as a storm cloud. He had overheard their entire conversation.

Though he also wanted to be the professor for Defense Against the Dark Arts, it was clear Wayne was not doing this to help him achieve his wish.

This kid…

After thinking for a while, Snape came up with a term that was even more outrageous than being born. What an annoying brat!

Leaving the office, Wayne walked down the stairs with a light step, eager to share the news with Qiu, who was waiting for him in the Great Hall.

The Great Hall was still packed with students. They had already heard about Wayne being taken by the Phoenix and were anxiously waiting for news.

When he pushed open the great door, all eyes instantly turned to Wayne, and the hall fell silent, with even the professors unable to contain their curiosity.

Wayne didn't hold back; he broke into a big smile and said what everyone was eager to hear: "Professor Dumbledore said he would seriously consider our opinions and has granted Hufflepuff fifty points!"

Boom!

Thunderous applause and excited cheers erupted throughout the Great Hall, as if the stars on the ceiling were vibrating from the noise.

Everyone was excitedly hugging their classmates beside them.

Qiu finally stopped worrying as she saw Wayne's beaming smile. Hermione snorted lightly, shutting her thick book and turning to leave, completely unaware that she had placed the book upside down.

"That's so cool!" Ron exclaimed, clapping his hands until they turned red, watching as Wayne was surrounded by badgers, shouting loudly, "I can't believe reporting actually works!"
