Hunter x Hunter : Germain Joins The Hunt

Chapter 235: Chapter 222.2 : Team!!

Bisky paused before continuing, "The other unstable factor is the Beyond faction."

"But as long as we handle the key point — bringing Chairman Netero to our side — Beyond won't expose our situation as long as he still wants to enter the 'Dark Continent' in his lifetime."

"Our goals align with Beyond's, just with different methods. I believe Beyond will make the right choice, and in the end, Chairman Netero might even remove the 'shackles' on him."

Razor crossed his arms, revealing the sharp contours of his muscular frame.

"So, the key point now is whether this negotiation can get Chairman Netero on our side, so we can finally carry out the plan to deceive everyone."

"Germain won't lose his freedom, and we will gain more resources, giving us a better chance than Beyond's forces to head for the 'Dark Continent.' 'Hope' will bring change to the Six Continents."

"This is the best outcome."

Bisky nodded.

"This is also the best outcome for Ging, who is stationed in the 'Ancient Labyrinth' right now. If Germain is controlled, he might act on his own, doing whatever he wants."

Razor pressed his lips together.

"That's definitely his style... Ah, speaking of Ging, I almost forgot something he told me."

Razor looked at Dwun and List.

"I have something from him." List understood and took a card from his pocket, walking over to Bisky. He handed it to her seriously. "Ging said, 'The Blue Planet is yours.'"

Bisky had been prepared for this, but still couldn't help widening her eyes in greed.

"Hehehe..."

She immediately unlocked the card, and with a "bang," a blue gem, resembling the water-blue color of a planet, fell into her palm.

Bisky carefully examined it, holding it up to the sunlight, making it shine with dazzling brilliance. Then, she smiled in satisfaction.

"You... you're still mine, aren't you? You can't escape."

Bisky spoke as though talking to a lover in an intimate moment, so lost in her words that she didn't even notice List had returned to his seat.

At this moment, Dwun spoke up.

"Game consoles and teleportation-type spell cards don't work on the 'Dark Continent,' but Ging mentioned in the video that it could be because of the distance."

He really wanted to smoke a cigarette.

However, just as he took out his cigarette and lighter before the meeting started, he was met with the usual timid, murderous glare from Sanbica, and he quietly put them away.

At the beginning, when he was trying to focus on the technical aspects, his craving for a cigarette kicked in, and he couldn't help but start shaking his legs.

"If 'V5' and the 'Hunter Association' return to the 'Dark Continent,' then we will have a chance to establish a bridge between 'Greed Island' and the 'Dark Continent.'"

"Seriously, Ging... leaving all alone over there..."

"We'll be ready with a new batch of 'Resource Cards' soon. When are you planning to return to the 'Ancient Labyrinth City'? Where do you plan to explore next?"

Bisky was still deep in a low conversation with the "Blue Planet," completely ignoring Dwun's question.

An awkward silence fell over the round table.

It wasn't until everyone's attention shifted to Germain that he remembered he was the nominal "leader" here.

In the current "Greed Island," there were essentially two factions.

One side included Ging, Razor, Dwun, List, Eta, and Elena, while the other side was formed by the later arrivals: Germain, Bisky, Shizuku, Menchi, Buhara, Sanbica, and Abengane.

However, Ging had already made a statement in a recorded video supporting Germain's decision.

As a result, Germain was now the nominal leader here.

"I plan to return to the 'Ancient Labyrinth City' after Bisky and the negotiations with Chairman Netero have concluded. As for the next place to explore, of course, it's still 'The Place of Hope.'"

"The 'New World Chronicles: Eastern Version (Fragment)' has already been proven in the 'Ancient Labyrinth City Exploration' for its authenticity and reliability. It mentions that the 'Herb for All-illnesses' can treat the 'Immortality Disease.'"

"Of course, it can only treat the early stages of the 'Immortality Disease.'"

"Once someone is infected with the 'Immortality Disease,' and their body becomes nothing more than a shell with their soul completely gone, the 'Herb for All-illnesses' will no longer be able to save them."

"We have quite a few 'Herb for All-illnessess' on hand. We can use them to fend off the 'Immortality Disease' and obtain 'Alchemical Plant Metallion' from the area."

Dwun stroked his chin.

"If that's the case, we'll cooperate with Sanbica to quickly turn the 'Herb for All-illnesses' into a potion, seal it into cards, and then hand it over to you for transport."

He scratched his messy hair and showed a somewhat troubled expression.

"Honestly, I thought when Ging said, 'I'll definitely go to the Dark Continent someday,' that it was already arrogant enough. I never imagined someone would actually take him up on that and make it happen."

"This is Ging's dream. To make it come true, he needs your help. In turn, we'll help you. So, you can trust us with this task."

Germain nodded.

"Thank you."

"Also..." Dwun hesitated for a moment before asking, "Did Ging stay in the 'Ancient Labyrinth City' to free up space for the 'Teleportation Lantern'?"

"Have you decided on the members for the next 'Four-Man Team'?"

Germain held up two fingers.

"We have two possible situations."

"First, if Bisky, Menchi, and Buhara successfully negotiate and are allowed to return freely, then our team will consist of me, Bisky, Shizuku, and Menchi."

"Second, if the negotiations fail and Bisky and the others are detained, then our team will consist of me, Shizuku, and Sanbica."

Germain, Bisky, Shizuku, Menchi, and Buhara had all experienced the 'Lantern Teleportation' at least once, so they had the highest priority. Only after that would Sanbica be considered.
