Chapter 25: Web of Vengeance
As I stared at the screen, a dark rage simmered within me. The story unfolding before me was revolting. How could someone sink so low, wrapped in a twisted love that humiliated her family? Mu Qing—she was broken by her loyalty to that despicable man, Lin Yang, and driven to betray her own blood. Her younger sister, Mu Shanyu, lost her life because of her blind devotion, her death dismissed like a trivial inconvenience.
But what boiled my blood most was how Lin Yang had spun her death into a mockery, marrying Mu Qing right after her sister's funeral. It was like something out of a twisted fantasy, where the protagonist weds not only the sisters but any woman he lays his eyes on, their mother included. That's the kind of world he has created—a world that I will rip apart piece by piece.
This time, Mu Shanyu's fate will change. I'll save her. And as for Mu Qing and Yin Ren Tang... they will pay for every tear, every drop of blood they caused. Tomorrow night, everything will fall into place. I'll finally make them suffer, and no one will stand in the way of my time with those I love.
And as for the heroines in this story... they will learn what true love is. I will make them fall for me, just as I have mastered every other aspect of my life. They will understand that love can be as deadly as poison when withheld, and as healing as life itself when given freely.
I reached for my phone, dialing the number of a key ally.
"Hello, Tanya," I said, my voice firm and resolute. "I have an order for you."
On the other end, a soft yet strong voice replied, "Yes, Commander. What are your orders?"
"Take your entire team to Dragon City. Establish a base of operations there—an organization that answers only to me. You'll command from Dragon City, but your influence will spread across the world. Above all, your mission is to protect those who are important to me. No one gets close to them without my approval."
"Yes, Commander," Tanya responded, her voice laced with unwavering loyalty. "Is there anything else?"
I allowed myself a slight smile. "I'll provide you with a device containing a portal to a spatial training realm. This space will revive you if you face fatal damage, and there are three beasts within. If they take human form, don't engage them—they're my pets, like the dragon and the zombie."
Tanya's voice carried a hint of excitement. "Understood, Commander. We'll be ready to serve."
"Good," I replied. "I'll also grant you access to a Qi cultivation cave—the only one of its kind in the multiverse. But in return, you and your team must swear unwavering loyalty to me."
"You have my word, Commander. We are yours, now and forever."
I ended the call and immediately contacted Itachi. He appeared silently, bowing with the respectful deference he always showed.
"Yes, Master?" he said, his voice low and controlled.
I fixed him with a steely gaze. "Go to the Black Shade Gang and make it known that you were sent by Young Master Ye King. Tell them I request a meeting with Mu Qing. Also, her assistant Shu Shin—I want you to render her unconscious and bring her here. Use this as leverage to make Mu Qing submit."
Itachi nodded, his expression unreadable but focused. "As you command, Master."
Without another word, he vanished into the shadows, moving with the swift, lethal precision of a master assassin.
I clenched my fists, a sense of anticipation building within me. Soon, they would all be mine. And as for you, Lin Yang... your time is running out. With each move, your destiny luck weakens, and soon you'll be defenseless. When I take the final blow, that precious stone in your locket will be mine, sealing your fate once and for all.
