Chapter 115: Tailed Beast

"Hashirama, don't be foolish. Do you really believe balancing the villages will bring lasting peace?" said Madara.

"Madara, let's leave that decision to future generations," replied Hashirama.

"No, Hashirama, you're wrong. The only reason we have peace now is because both of us are extremely powerful," said Madara. "Do you know what Setsuna told me about our predecessors?"

Tobirama frowned while Hashirama listened eagerly.

"Senju and Uchiha are actually blood relatives. We are both descendants of Asura and Indra," said Madara.

"We already know this. Setsuna told us before," Tobirama interjected.

"My point is that we're strong because Asura inherited Wood Style while Indra inherited the Sharingan," explained Madara.

"Wood Style?" Tobirama frowned, recalling how powerful Hashirama was, far more so than other members of the Senju clan.

"Yes, Sharingan can be inherited by any Uchiha, but Wood Style isn't a Senju kekkei genkai. You, Hashirama, inherited its power because Asura's chakra is passed down once every generation," clarified Madara.

"Do you mean that Wood Style is the exclusive power of Asura?" asked Tobirama.

"Didn't you say Setsuna told you all of this?" replied Izuna.

"No, he only told us that the Uchiha and Senju share the same bloodline," answered Tobirama.

"Did he tell you that we are descendants of Hagoromo Otsutsuki, also known as the Sage of Six Paths?" asked Izuna.

"That... No, he didn't," responded Tobirama.

"That's part of the reason he chose to move to Uzushiogakure. He knew that the Senju, Uzumaki, and Uchiha share the same bloodline. We Uchiha inherit the power of the Mangekyou Sharingan, while you Senju inherit the Sage's body and large chakra reserves," Izuna revealed.

"This..."

"Hashirama, that's why we need to unite all the clans and villages. After you die, no one will be strong enough to take on four villages at once," said Madara.

"No, Madara, for now, this is the best option. Let's hope for the future generation," replied Hashirama.

---Tailed Beast---

"Izuna, I plan to gather the tailed beasts and fight Hashirama. After we take him down, we will force the other villages to unite as one," suggested Madara.

"Brother, for Kazuha's future, I'll follow you," replied Izuna. "But which tailed beast do you plan to capture? We've searched for the Nine-Tails for so long, but it seems to have vanished."

"We'll capture the Eight-Tails. I'll control it with my Mangekyou Sharingan, and you will capture the Seven-Tails and do the same," said Madara.

"Alright, I understand. It's a shame the Nine-Tails is missing, and we can only control one tailed beast at a time, even with the Mangekyou Sharingan," Izuna agreed.

They had read the Uchiha stone tablets and ancient scrolls about the power of the Mangekyou Sharingan, which explained that it could control only one tailed beast at a time. However, the Rinnegan could control all the tailed beasts simultaneously, just like Uchiha Sasuke did in the future described in the records.

As they prepared to capture the tailed beasts, another argument broke out inside the Hokage's office.

"Brother, I believe what Madara suggests is correct. We need to force the other villages to join us," said Tobirama.

"Tobirama, didn't you hear what Madara said about my power?" replied Hashirama.

"Yes, he mentioned your power comes from Asura Otsutsuki," Tobirama confirmed.

"Tobirama, if my approach is wrong, then I trust the next person who wields Wood Style will unite the world," said Hashirama. "I don't want to cause unnecessary bloodshed in my time. People are finally at peace, and they might avoid war after being in peace"

"Brother... I can't do anything about you," Tobirama sighed, knowing that when his brother spoke about peace, it was hard to argue and it is very convincing.

Hashirama might not be the wisest, but he had high emotional intelligence and was a genius in battle. He wanted to test his method first, leaving it to future generations to correct if his method proved to be wrong.

In comparison, while Hashirama could see 10 steps ahead, Madara could see 30. That's why Madara foresaw failure, believing that human greed would persist, and only by force could lasting peace be achieved.

---Senju Tsunade---

After Kazuha left Konoha, Senju Tsunade's life became somewhat dull. Due to her high status as the only granddaughter of Senju Hashirama, she didn't have many friends. Both of her parents were often busy, and she only saw them early in the morning or just before sunset.

Her father, eager to prove himself as the son of Senju Hashirama, frequently took on many missions. Meanwhile, her mother, the best medical ninja, was always busy treating patients at the hospital.

One day, while wandering around, Tsunade encountered Hatake Sakumo. They had met before at the Ninja Academy, but this was the first time they crossed paths outside of school.

Due to the butterfly effect, Sakumo was born in the same year as Tsunade, with Dan Kato being younger than her.

"Why are you so obsessed with the sword?" Tsunade asked.

"My clan, we are samurai, not ninja," replied Hatake Sakumo.

"Oh, samurai," Tsunade said with curiosity.

"Yeah, we don't have any ninjutsu, except for coating our swords with chakra. Nobles and Daimyo used to hire us as their samurai, but after Konoha was formed, no one wanted samurai anymore, so we left the Land of Lightning and became Konoha villagers," Sakumo explained.

"Why did they stop hiring samurai?" Tsunade asked.

"Because the rich people saw ninjas are more valuable than samurai, so we were forced to find a new way to live," Sakumo replied.

At this time, Sakumo was carefree, much like Kakashi would be in the future. His face wasn't burdened with worry, unlike how it was described in the books. This made him a popular figure, with many female students dreaming of marrying him.

Tobirama, noticing Sakumo's potential, thought of pairing him with Tsunade instead of Orochimaru, who had been transferred to Uzushiogakure.

Hatake Sakumo, Senju Tsunade, and Jiraiya were set to become the future Team 7. Just imagine the potential he would bring as a student of the Hokage, rather than being trained by an unknown jonin.
