chapter 15
15. Man, You’ve Successfully Caught My Attention
If Miss Nieru were just an ordinary maid, I wouldn’t hesitate to have her accompany me! Imagine: enjoying the feeling of a big, fair arm wrapped around mine, while casting a “you guys don’t have this” look back at the envious men, perhaps reaching the pinnacle of a man’s worth.
But, Nieru is no ordinary maid; she’s the protagonist in the script who, after leveling up, whether by a stroke of genius or deep contemplation, will definitely find a reason to stab me dead!
These past few days, I’ve gone through hell and high water, by hook or by crook, to chase away those “white-haired grandpas and grandmas” that Nieru could meet just by stepping out the door, preventing any “kill the chicken king and instantly level up to 999” incidents.
Now, with the real protagonist, Kefir, not by my side, my fate as the arch-villain Ogelid is already in peril. And at such a time, Nieru wants to join me in searching for Kefir? This isn’t about finding Kefir; it’s clearly Nieru looking for a reason to stab me!
I pressed down on Nieru’s soft shoulders, panic-stricken inside, yet my face remained calm—a skill honed from years of fleeing as the arch-villain and being a lackey.
“Nieru, I’m just stepping out to shop and incidentally bring Kefir back. You stay home, do the chores, and when Kefir returns, I’ll figure out what’s been troubling her lately, okay?”
Trying my best not to notice or feel the sensation from Nieru’s ample bosom, which my hands inadvertently touched, I put on a serious face.
“You’ve seen it these past few days, strange people approach whenever you step out. With Kefir not around, it’s safer to stay at home, right?”
Hmm! I thought I had said enough, considering Nieru hasn’t “leveled up” in her training, and her personality, to put it mildly, isn’t great, but she’s indeed timid and cowardly. A little scare from me should surely make her agree…
The next instant.
【Snap】
Nieru’s hand clutched my wrist. Looking closely, her face bore none of the timidity and fear of a rabbit from the past few days. The eye not covered by the eyepatch stared straight at me. Though her voice was still timid as ever, this sudden directness took me by surprise.
“If I’m going to be scared everywhere, it’s better to be with you.”
It seemed that after spending these days helping Nieru chase away those “suspicious old men and women,” she had become comfortable enough to talk to me up close, unlike when she first met me and hid away.
But… to say it’s not a problem, hiss, did some strange switch get flipped on Nieru?
“No, no, no, this is for safety.”
The next moment, Nieru’s ample bosom pressed even closer. It was as if saying: firm yet soft—fits the hand perfectly, a hundred tries—never miss one.
But I had no time to appreciate it, because…
“What if I don’t let you leave alone?”
“Uh… Miss Nieru?”
Just then, I clearly saw it!! The usually frightened and anxious expression on Nieru’s face suddenly turned dangerously serious, making me tense up instantly!
It then occurred to me, what if, in my efforts to prevent Nieru from leveling up, I inadvertently nurtured some strange new fetish in her?
Nell is the protagonist in the script who will find any excuse to stab me to death, and although she hasn’t had the chance to level up yet, opposing her directly would be like digging my own grave. As a normal man, unless he’s a fool, he would never refuse the full service of a busty maid. I’m not willing to let Nell follow me, simply because I’m worried that the “step outside and get stabbed for 999 damage” incident from the past few days might happen again.
Such dangers, I don’t have to face them directly, but can avoid them by understanding Nell’s upcoming script in advance. As long as Nell’s script doesn’t involve any “old grandpas and grandmas” for the time being, then I naturally have to agree to whatever this deeply vengeful maid protagonist wants to do!
Phew… As for the script, these past few days I’ve been busy driving away those “old grandpas and grandmas,” so even if it’s time for Nell to “train and level up,” such adventures shouldn’t be knocking on the door every day.
With a slight sigh of relief, I began to read Nell’s upcoming script in my mind.
And then I saw.
[Nell encounters a strong emotional upheaval! She unleashes her hidden absolute power against those thuggish extras for the first time! Within a ten-mile radius, everything turns barren in an instant.]
Isn’t this still the same “one stab for 999 damage, dominating the entire server with no one to rival”?
Wait a minute.
This time it’s not about “Nell leveling up from old grandpas and grandmas,” but… an outburst against thuggish extras!? Given Nell’s looks and her fair and large figure, it’s not surprising she’d encounter harassment from thugs, but aren’t I here too?
I’m not so useless that I can’t protect Nell from the hands of thuggish extras, so why does Nell need to “explode”…
Hiss! Could it be!
In an instant, my eyes widened, and I hurriedly checked my own ending! And the script that appeared in my mind had also changed!
[Oed encounters the extra Er who comes for revenge with his men, gets beaten half to death, and then is tied up in a sack and sunk in the river.]
It’s over! I’ve been so preoccupied with making sure Nell doesn’t encounter any strange leveling events, to prevent her from stabbing me to death after leveling up, that I completely overlooked my own inevitable demise as the villain Oed!
In my script, it’s not just Nell who will kill me! From all kinds of protagonists to minor villains! They all have reasons and scripts to kill me! The only one who can save me from death and take me under her wing is Kefir, and now Kefir…
She’s gone out alone to clear her head because of her troubles!
No one has stipulated that Nell’s leveling up must involve getting some magical artifact or secret technique from an old man! Me being beaten and sunk in the river, isn’t that a perfect… reason for Nell to “explode”?
“Mr. Oed, what are you…”
“Back off, Nell!”
I embraced Nell in one swoop, and the next moment!
With a loud 【Bang】, Kefir’s secret base in the slums, was kicked open by a familiar figure leading a group of unfamiliar strong men!
