I Was Sold to My Mortal Enemy (Double Transmigrations)

Chapter 49 - I

Song Ning had walked for a while when an inexplicable heat coursed through his body. His legs went weak, and he fell to the ground. Before he could comprehend what was happening, he was lifted onto someone’s shoulders. Panic surged in Song Ning’s heart as he struggled and called for help, but all his strength had left him. He was powerless.

.

Zhou Yan had been walking for quite a while without encountering Song Ning, which raised suspicions.

Song Ning’s footsteps were not usually fast and tended to be slow. Could he have already made it home?

Zhou Yan was about to hurry back and check when he heard a faint cry for help. Realizing something was amiss, he swiftly followed the sound.

.

Meanwhile, Zhu Laosan had carried Song Ning to a deserted thatched house and threw him onto the straw. When he saw Song Ning’s appearance, he was taken aback.

Song Ning briefly hesitated but then angrily scolded, “Zhu Laosan, you have some nerve. Release me immediately. Let’s pretend that this never happen today, or I’ll report it to the authorities.”

Having just concluded the deal with Liu Yingying, Zhu Laosan hadn’t expected Song Ning to be one delivered to him like this.

Although he hadn’t obtained the young wife of Pei Xing, the man in front of him was handsome and fair-skinned, with picturesque features. At this moment, his face was blushing, and his eyes were watery and enchanting. Song Ning was slightly breathless, as though repressing something.

Zhu Laosan was quick-witted. Observing Song Ning’s attire, he understood the situation after a moment of thought and inquired, “Young Master Song, did you drink the sacrificial wine given to you by a little girl along with the Pei Xing’s young wife?”

Song Ning merely frowned without a reply.

“I added red lotus fruit to that wine. These red lotus fruits are specially used to stimulate the passion wave of shuanger.”

Zhu Laosan chortled and reached out to touch Song Ning’s face. “You now look just like a shuanger in the middle of the passion.”

As he spoke, he burst into wicked laughter and held down Song Ning’s hands. “You’re actually a hidden shuanger. Hahaha. That Old Man Song has hidden you well. He not only found a man for you but also had you pass the imperial examination. If I go to the government, whom will the county magistrate punish?”

Song Ning clenched his fists, veins popping on his forehead. He knew the punishment for harboring a hidden shuanger by the court. He closed his eyes and tried to relax his body.

“Hahaha, a scholar truly good, you understand the situation. It’s better being with me than facing execution, right?” Zhu Laosan said mockingly. As he spoke, he reached out to unfasten Song Ning’s belt and stripped off his clothes with a single hand, exposing his fair and beautiful chest, which still bore traces of love from the previous night.

These marks were left by Zhou Yan during their intimate moments.

Upon seeing the marks, Zhu Laosan grinned, his eyes glinting with a predatory gleam. He was about to lean down and kiss Song Ning, marking him once more, but then they both heard the creaking of the door and someone entering the space.

.

Both the person inside and the intruder at the door were taken aback.

Zhou Yan arrived just in time to see Song Ning crying, pinned down by Zhu Laosan, with his clothes half-removed, his chest bearing love marks and his face showing signs of slaps. He looked like he had been assaulted.

Blinded by rage, Zhou Yan viciously kicked Zhu Laosan away and landed a brutal blow to his head.

“You wretch! Beast! I’ll kill you!”

Zhu Laosan cried out in pain, feeling like he was about to be beaten to death. The blows hit him like hammers, making his head spin. He immediately began begging for mercy, no longer having any backbone.

“Master Zhou, Master, I didn’t do anything, I swear. Please, don’t kill me.”

Zhou Yan’s eyes were red, like a beast whose territory had been invaded and now sought to devour the transgressor.

Seeing that Zhu Laosan was on the brink of being beaten to death, Song Ning worried that Zhou Yan might face life-threatening lawsuit, so he did his best to muster up his strength and hug Zhou Yan.

“Don’t hurt him. He didn’t touch me. Please don’t kill him.”

Hearing Song Ning’s plea, Zhou Yan gradually calmed down. He turned around and held Song Ning tightly. After sensing the abnormal temperature of Song Ning’s body, his expression darkened, and his eyes were fixed on the battered Zhu Laosan.

“This beast dared to give you poisonous wine!! Keeping him alive would be dangerous; it’s better for him to die.”

“It was red lotus fruit. Don’t kill anyone.” Song Ning cried and shook his head. The passion he was feeling was driving him to the brink of madness. He pinched himself hard to maintain his clarity of mind.

As Zhu Laosan observed the couple, he struggled to sit up and crawled over to beg for mercy.

“Master Zhou, please, don’t worry, I’ll never do anything like this again. Let me go, please, I have a wife and children to support.”

Zhou Yan kicked him away, seized his head, and shoved him to the ground. With one leg, he immobilized Zhu Laosan’s arm, and, drawing a dagger from his waist, he stabbed several holes in the man’s arm. Zhu Laosan screamed, nearly losing consciousness, as he heard Zhou Yan’s grim voice resonated.

“If I ever hear you utter a word you shouldn’t, I will ensure that you experience a fate worse than death.”

“I won’t say anything, I promise,” Zhu Laosan weakly replied.

“Get out!” Zhou Yan grabbed the man and flung him away.

Zhu Laosan rolled and crawled away, desperate to escape.

Zhou Yan watched him go with a profound expression. If it weren’t for the fear of scaring Song Ning, he would have meted out a far worse punishment. This man was a disaster that needed to be stopped in the future.
