She was wondering if her skill was being wonky again...

She felt the drain on her mana, even if it only took 20% of her current mana pool, it taking some meant that the [Idea] had worked as intended, she felt her skill suffusing the orange-haired girl and doing its work.

She [Knew] it was the correct information but the mere thought that someone only a couple of years older than her could hold that much power...

How did any of that make sense?

Also, the same pop-up had shown up for this girl than for the student council president.

She was about to dismiss it when "Yes." The words of Selen distracted her.

"Yes?" Asked the blonde girl wondering what that rude girl was speaking of.

Saturation at 20%....

'THAT B#TCH!' Thought Elizabeth with her mouth open as she tried to dismiss the second message and tried her best to focus her will to stop whatever process that girl had started.

To no avail, since a third message had popped up thanking her for her 'Work'.

"Hmmmm..." Moaned the orange-haired girl, she even flushed a little, but kept her demeanor playful and didn't say anything about it. "So that's what Eva meant...Your [Skill] does have a nice kick in it." Said Selen smiling, her eyes were reading something invisible in front of her, just a little above of her desk.

'Is she reading a status screen like me?' Wondered inwards the blonde girl.

"This is quite the boon you can grant..." Said the orange-haired girl.

'Well if she wanted to play it like that... ' said inwardly Elizabeth while once again she sharpened her will and focused on her skill "[Identify]!" and directed the might of her [Skill] towards the rest of that status screen.

She would use that girl as a guinea pig to see how deep she could go without making harm, this would serve her for when it was her turn to inspect Rossie.

Left Hand of The Servant:

This is one of the subordinates granted to the [Servant of the Akashik Records]. They work as loyal subordinates that hold the safety and well-being of the servant above all things. Even their own well-being.

As such they hold no qualms to eliminate anything they deem a danger or harm to the servant.

The Left-hand works as a guardian and bastion against magical dangers to the servant, both from the outer planes (Beings from the heavens, hell, or void) and from magical interference from within the plane.

This Title symbolizes the pledge made towards the servant, so long that the pledge is in place, the servant is able to receive help from the library of spells of this title at the cost of mana from the Left Hand. The farther the distance the more mana is drained from the bearer of this title.

[This title binds his bearer to the will of the servant, so long the bearer works towards the goals of Akasha. They will receive an easier path to power]

Elizabeth had to grab her head and slowly sat down on the floor, using her pink-haired friend as support while she was processing the information.

The Left Hand's Divine Wings:

This title symbolizes the user has made a contract with a celestial being and has bound its power to do her bidding instead of the other way around. It grants the user access to [Holy] elemental magic and attunes her mana to the divine element. Allowing the bearer to cast [Divine] type spells at a cheaper cost.

It also transforms the mana of the user into the higher order type of energy used by celestial beings [Prana], allowing the bearer of the title to interact more easily with [Life Force] making her healing spells more effective.

Holy Guardian:

Evolved type Origin, the base of the Origin was on healing but after making contact with [Divine] energy and binding the life of the user towards the safeguarding of another person the user managed to [Shift] her [Origin] towards this.

It allows the user an easier time casting magic to protect their designated target. Making the spells last longer and be more effective.

It on the other hand it offers no advantage to using healing or protective spells against people that isn't on the service to the designated target or the designated target.

Provides bonus against demonic energy and dark attributed energy.

Contract: Seraphis, Archangel

Seraphis is an Archangel of the Light and Order variation, specializing in area denial spells and bastion-type enchantments.

He is among the highest available contracts a [Holy] type mage can ever achieve, there isn't any record in the mundane world about anyone ever managing to make a contract with this Archangel. So not much information is available.

[Currently Saturating contractor of Seraphis, progress 20%..]

[User is advised to check again at a later date since Seraphis is blocking the advance of progress]

"Hmm...I did raise my guard against the last few ones...But couldn't feel if it got through..." Said the secretary of the student council.

Elizabeth for her part didn't grace her with an answer and just laid down on the floor using her pink-haired friend as support.

Her head filled with information, too much information about that girl. It sounded by the titles and such that this girl was devoted in soul and mind to [The Servant].

And who had such a title around her?

That's right "So you not only work under the student council president, but [For the student council president]." She said using [Idea] to make sure her intent was clear.

Rossie looked somewhat surprised at the blonde girl, granted only teachers had used this in such a way. And she wasn't sure how she had heard it. But by the smile Selen had on her face, at least she had got the right meaning.

"Wonderfull...You got it [Right] on the first try even." Answered back the girl who was once again smiling at them. "So, how can I help you today?" Asked the girl as if she was a helpful person to them.

She had threatened them both and left the pink-haired girl on the floor and the blonde girl with a headache with the infusion of information.

At the very least she knew that if she allowed her skill to affect someone else they no longer could feel her using [Identify] on them. So that was a plus...

Not that she would ever do that again with someone without thinking it through.

"We came to register as a Magical Girl team." Said Rossie raising her right hand and showing her bracelet to the orange-haired girl.

So Elizabeth did the same "So register us as a team and we will get out of your face to hopefully not see you ever again." And added a few extra important words in there.

Selen for her part just raised an eyebrow at that declaration "Magical Girl Teams huh...Interesting..." And moving something in her holopad she raised it to scan both bracelets.

The information on the screen changed once again showcasing both girls in her [Shift] persona with their aliases at the side.

"[Elemental Weaver] and [Sylphie Starheart]..." She mumbled to herself, but nonetheless, she clicked something on her tab and an extra lane appeared on the screens denoting both as a team. "You have been approved as a novice team, your bracelets will deliver information about possible events where you will be needed." She said while both bracelets gave a low ping sound.

And just after that she got a notification on her smartphone and holopad asking for confirmation, she gave it and sure enough, there were a few suggested routes for patrol work and some information on possible villains she could find in said routes. Both magical and non-magical.

There was an addendum that suggested her to only fight magical enemies as fighting powered would risk her to non-magical injuries that would be harder to heal with magick.

"Since Sylphie Starheart is noted as [Healer] you might end with more work after high-end fights between A & B Tier grade encounters. So you might run some risks in that." She said while showing a somewhat short list of Villains in those tiers.

And besides it is another list with almost the same number of names but for both magical girls/mages and Heroes.

Among those in the B grade was "Magical Girl -Ethereal Grace?" Said the blonde girl "You are a B-Grade magical girl?" she of course knew how much power she had, she just saw her stats after all.

"Don't remind me that." Said in a huff the girl in question, "I'm the weakest of the Student Council, if not for Sera I wouldn't even be allowed to be near Eva." Finished saying Selen.

Elizabeth was worried now...

She was the weakest?

The girl that didn't even need a spell to negate her power over the shadows?

The girl that only by doing a partial [Shift] could obliterate everything in the area?

"Speaking of weak..." Said Selen while pointing at Rossie, this made Elizabeth raise her ward and prepare herself to try her luck with magic "...Why are you not evolving your Affinity?" Only to make the blonde girl turn her head towards her friend.

She could evolve her origin already?

"You can evolve already?!?" Said the blonde girl who ignored the presence of Selen and hugged the pink-haired girl.

"WHY HAVE YOU NOT?!? WHEN?!? HOW?!?" Started asking the blonde girl, wishing there wasn't that rude girl in the room so she could go nuts and inspect her friend.

She was somewhat sure that she couldn't see the same blue screens as her. But she wanted to be safer than sorry, and since Nyx couldn't secure the area with that girl near...

"I wanted to evolve together our magics...So we could link them easier..." Said the pink-haired girl while blushing and trying to avert her gaze.

"Now I WANT to eat you, Rossie, that is soooooo cuteeee!!!" Said the blonde girl while hugging her friend harder.

"Also a waste of time, Starbright already has an evolved affinity. No way in hell she is getting that to evolve before achieving B-Grade at least." Added Selen Dawnstrike, dropping a figurative cold bucket of water in both girls' enthusiasm.

"Let's go home, Rossie." Said the blonde girl who had recovered enough to stand once again. And even if she hadn't she would use the shadows to puppeteer her own body.

"Wait for me Eli-Eli." Answered back the pink-haired girl who silently cast a [Restore] spell on herself to get some stamina back.

They both ignored the orange-haired girl who was in the background saying "I mean, she does have an evolved [Affinity] you know!" and stuff like "It would be pointless if you waited!"

That girl didn't understand the meaning of reading the room. Nor the problem with dropping that kind of information without proper thinking.

And so after leaving the office, both girls didn't have too much trouble finding their way to the outside. By that point, most of the people in the reception area had left. Only leaving a couple of people waiting still, among them was the purple-haired girl who once she noticed both girls started glaring their way.

Elizabeth was too tired to care at this point so she just ignored her, while Rossie returned the glare back.

But since Elizabeth didn't seem to care she stopped glaring back once it became obvious they were going outside.

"Anything else we need to do Rossie?" Asked the blonde girl who was searching for a cab service on her smartphone.

"Not right now, we have free time till next Monday. So this weekend we can settle and buy what we need. The school gave us quite the allowance so we can splurge here and there." Answered back the pink-haired girl.

"In which case let's go home to see what the school gave us and we can make a list to see what we will need to buy." Said Elizabeth after finally managing to find a cab.

She didn't mention how she was planning to inspect her friend's status.

And the pink-haired girl seemed like she was still somewhat nervous, perhaps she had another attack of nerves from the encounter with Selen?

'If that orange-haired girl made Rossie's trauma show up I'm gonna smash her face in the ground and make Nyx eat her.' Was all the blonde girl had in mind.

They traveled toward their current habitation provided by the school, Elizabeth didn't have too much trust in it after finding out they had rummaged her room.

She would probably make Nyx and his minions comb the whole area and perhaps go on an [Identify] spree to make sure there wasn't anything out of place.

Their cab didn't have problems with them, but that might be in part because Rossie was the one that had called in the cab, and she had used a specialized service, since the driver had a bracelet perhaps he was also a metahuman?

She wanted to ask but didn't want to be stuck as a country bumpkin more than she had already. So she refrained from doing so, but the driver did try to get both girls into a conversation.

But that was mostly carried on by Rossie since she was stuck deep in thought.

Mostly about how she was going to broach the subject with Rossie. She hadn't told her anything about her past. But now she knew way too much about it thanks to Selen.

So with renewed vigor, she decided to come clean.

"Here we are girls, remember to call us if you need service again...Or to lose the bracelet if you want a normal one." Said the driver while speeding away.

"That is Illegal mister!" Screamed back Rossie while laughing at the antics of the driver. Was she happy to be back in this country? Was she pretending to be fine?

Elizabeth didn't know, but she had a way to find out.

"Let's go, Rossie, we have...Too much to speak about." Said the blonde girl while walking with heavy steps towards the building.

"It's okay Eli-Eli...I will explain it properly my past." Said in a happy tone the pink-haired girl.

That only made her stomach to revolt more about this topic, she didn't want Rossie to explain something she didn't want to share just because some orange-haired girl was suspicious about her.

Especially if she wasn't the reason for that suspicion!

She hadn't gone to the student council for this very reason!

So both girls walked in silence toward their new residence. It was a cozy apartment, their rooms were at the end of a hallway with doors in front of each other and a shared bathroom.

They had both a bathtub and a shower, so they could clean themselves at the same time to save time?

She wasn't sure about why they had chosen that particular design, but maybe to save time for a couple of aspiring Magical Girls in case of a rushed deployment?

"Eli-Eli..." Started saying the pink-haired girl only to be silenced by a finger of the blonde girl on her lips.

"First let me check something." Said Elizabeth who pointed her other hand towards her shadow "[Nyx] check for surveillance both magical or technological." And after which, her shadow stretched all over the floor.

Her minion raising from the floor and in a silent howl summoned more dragons, she didn't mind that he was calling back those that were supposed to track the custom officer.

She didn't even care about that man right now.

She closer her eyes and let the shadow energy embrace her body, mind, and even her soul. All that was in this apartment soon was under her shadows.

It was [Her Domain and no intruder would be allowed].

After a few minutes of wait her minions returned, some with crushed pieces of technology, some with crushed blue stones. Most returned with something.

And Nyx was the last one, informing her that the apartment would be isolated from foreign mana so long she kept her shadows surrounding it. So unless someone with more power than her used a Scrying spell they would be safe.

And even then she would feel the shadow parting way for the spell, so she would know.

"Selen was right about my parents, those are indeed their names." Started speaking to Elizabeth, the shadows embracing her soothing her mind and calm her anger. "But they are known under other names, and if she had known those names...She might have not been so rash in making those threats..." Said Elizabeth smiling to herself.

And raising a holopad from the kitchen stand she made a shadow tendril to search for pictures of a couple of heroes "Papa...My father is mostly known as [The American Crusader]" said Elizabeth and pointed the holopad towards her friend.

Who now opened her eyes wide at the revelation "While Mama...While my Mother is known as [The Stardust Explorer]." And if the revelation of her father wasn't enough to surprise her.

The revelation of her mother was certainly enough to make the pink-haired girl to stumble, but always loyal Nyx was there to support her friend.

And quickly flew behind her to prevent the girl from falling.

"So I am the daughter of the most powerful couple in the world." Said in a self-deprecating tone. "Those that know of my heritage expect me to raise above my parents. To be the new hope for the world." And while they hadn't been obvious in their intent she knew.

'Harmless jokes' about how she would follow in the footsteps of her father and be the most powerful and versatile powered if she were to trigger...

'Silly puns' about how if she awoke magic she would end with cosmic ascent to Arch Wizard following in her mother's footsteps.

"And if they found out I have both [Skills] and [Magic]..." She said while caressing one of Nyx's minions in one hand and forming a magic circle in the other. "I never wanted the power, never wanted the fame of my parents...I only wanted to be free...To laze around with friends...With you Rossie...To have sleepovers..." Said the blonde girl while the shadows around them started making figures of her sleeping, playing, and having fun.

"But even while trying to not stand out..." Only to slowly turn from funny figurines to sharp weapons " Even while doing my best to ignore the powers to be..." And slowly all around her, the minions of Nyx dropped into the shadows while the floor, ceiling, and walls started forming vicious maws and eyes full of malice. "That girl dared to threaten my friends...MY ONLY TRUE FRIEND SO FAR." The wooden floor started creaking, the furniture was being enveloped in shadows and some was starting to break under the pressure.

And after saying that the shadows started to hit everything in place, Elizabeth noticed that at some point she had started to think of Rossie as her only true friend. The realization made her cry, she had some friends while attending at school, but so far they all never quite click in with her.

And it was obvious, after all, they had been friends with a facade she crafted, the facade of a talented student. The facade of a model student... None of those 'Friends' had seen Elizabeth as she was. None had gone to her home for sleepovers...None had attended her birthdays... At some point, she even stopped asking them to go to her home or her parties. None ever spoke to her mother or her father...

Not like Rossie. And now the fact that someone had brought her past to the front and exposed it as such...The fact that they had bared their fangs at her friend...That hurt her like nothing ever had before.

"It's okay Eli-Eli!" Said the pink-haired girl who rushed to hug the blonde girl who had started crying. "I'm Okay!" Said the girl "The past doesn't matter anymore!"

And even though she had bared herself as a minimum to try and soothe her friend, it was her friend that was trying to soothe her.

She hadn't run away when the shadow grow vicious maws and started gnawing furniture...

She hadn't run away when the walls had grown red eyes that darted all over the place with a crazed look, searching for an enemy that wasn't there.

And poor Nyx had stood near Rossie fending off stray attacks from her shadows...Rossie didn't even seem to mind how Elizabeth had lost control of her emotions and in turn of her shadows.

"It's okay..." Said the pink-haired girl while hugging the blonde who was crying in her chest.

"...I'm sorry Rossie...If not for me..." Said among cries the blonde girl.

But now it was her turn to be silenced, as the pink-haired girl placed a finger on her mouth and said "I'm okay Eli-Eli, no one hurt me. I'm not that weak." Said the girl who a few hours ago was in ragged breaths.

Elizabeth couldn't bring herself to point that out, but she did smile at that.

"Okay...But if it hurts tell me..." Was all she said while she extended her will into her mana and into the shadows.

Slowly, and very methodically she willed the vicious maws in the shadows to close their mouths...

She made the eyes in the walls to close and return back to where they came from, the spears and pikes of shadows slowly sank into the shadows leaving only the evidence of the destruction.

"Now...I didn't tell you about my heritage to cry but for this part." Said the blonde girl while she started focusing her will into her mana and directing it towards a node that was in her soul.

"I have a [Skill] the one that Selene asked me to use." She said, hate bubbling in her voice when she mentioned the name of that oranged-haired girl.

"It allows me to [See] people or things for how they truly are. I will know everything about the [Soul] of my target." And then the blonde stood and looked at her friend.

"I will use this skill on you, if you feel it is too much you can hate me later, but today's event in the morning worries me." Said Elizabeth while leveling her gaze at her friend.

For her part, the pink-haired girl wiped her own tears, placed her hand on her chest, and said "You have nothing to worry Eli-Eli...I will never hate you." And smiled at her.

So with renewed determination and perhaps some new tears in her eyes, the blonde girl intoned "[Identify]" and unlike the last time she embraced the feeling of information flooding into her mind.

And soon after that, she truly knew her friend. For unlike before there was this feeling of closeness with her.
