It was night time and the gentle wind brushed over Cang Yue and her hair was fluttering. Anyone looking at her under the moonlight would be entranced by her beauty.

Cang Yue looked up feeling the cultivation base of the beasts and people heading towards their location and abruptly stood up. She quickly released her artifact and her cultivation stabilized at the 3rd stage of True Profound Realm.

Examining the rewards, Yun Che accepted the quest.
Till now, Yun Che killed only the profound beasts to grind his cultivation level. It's kinda new for him to kill fellow cultivators, but no traces of hesitation were shown on his face. They were the mercenaries and he can by no means show any mercy to them, that's what he believed.

In the blink of an eye, about 50 flying profound beasts descended to the ground and surrounded both Yun Che and Cang Yue's current location.
Yun Che started examining the bunch of people who surrounded him. They all carried heavy weapons with them as if heading for a battle.

a hoarse voice of a middle-aged man sounded. He was laughing with a sinister smile. He had a scarred face and looked to be around 50 years.
He sat on one of the flying profound beasts and wet his dry lips on taking a look at Cang Yue. Her features struck his core and he immediately wanted to ravage her.
Feeling the lustful gaze, Cang Yue's whole body tremored.
He was known as the Black Demon and was the captain of the Black Demon Mercenary Group. He was an arrogant and perverted man and his cultivation was at the 3rd stage of True Profound Realm. Any woman who fell under his eye had to experience the worst nightmare ever, there was no exception.
He swept his hand forward signaling his subordinates to grab hold of the lady.
All of his subordinates looking at Cang Yue's figure under the moonlight were still dazed. And no one was able to respond to their leader.
Black Demon's lips twitched, he sighed and came down on his own. Looking at Yun Che not making any movements he chuckled and walked to Cang Yue, he was impatient and wanted to drag her.
His allies, Blacky, Black Devil, Black Dragon, Black Wolf, and many were drooling at the sight and were eagerly waiting for the show to unravel. They hoped their turn will come soon.
Meanwhile, Cang Yue just stood there stupefied. She couldn't process clearly what's happening in front of her but her face was in utter despair.
Yun Che had a carefree smile as always but this time his eyes revealed a murderous glint.

Just as Black Demon's hand was inching closer to Cang Yue, his hand was sliced in half by Yun Che.
Blood sprayed from his hand and some of it spilled on Cang Yue's face. It took Black Demon some time to register that his own hand has been cut apart and he miserably screamed.
"AAAAHHHHH!!!!!....."
Yun Che then quickly sliced one of Black Demon's legs making him unable to run away.
Many of the onlookers who were watching the gruesome scene were terrified. As a mercenary, their heart was as if made from stone but now even their face revealed pure terror. Their leader whom they always admire and look up to was defeated in a single move. No... It's not even a move... He never stood a chance at all!
Their leader's sword suddenly landed in Yun Che's arm and in the next second his hand was sliced by a casual swing. It's too shocking to believe... But it is true.

The profound energy around Yun Che erupted and started getting more denser. Looking at the phenomena, all of them gulped! Many tried to run but their legs were rooted to the ground in fear.
Some who were somewhat experienced immediately realized that they chose the wrong opponent and tried to flee.
Yun Che retraced his gaze to the people trying to run away.
"Not so soon...." he muttered coldly which ran shivers down their spines and increased his pace and continued to slaughter each one of them.
All the flying profound beasts hurriedly flew away not waiting for their owners.
Shrieks continued to be heard and it only stopped after around 30 minutes and the entire area was drenched with the smell of blood!
Cang Yue stood there with her eyes wide open, horrified. The man whom she wanted to rope in for Blue Wind Palace killed tens and tens of people in a single breath. What scared her the most was Yun Che still had that apathetic face even as he slaughtered.
Laying on the ground, Black Demon, seeing his allies butchered as insects was now filled with despair. He instantly puked out a mouthful of blood. Never in his life, he thought he would have to repent in this way.
Footsteps gradually neared the Black Demon. He then started experiencing excruciating pain which coursed through his entire body not even leaving his soul and his eyes soon turned lifeless.

Yun Che then stabbed the Black Demon's heart with his long sword and evacuated the place.
Cang Yue coming out of her stupor wiped the blood off her face and silently followed him. She knew Yun Che killed the people who were only after their lives and tried to assure herself.
Yun Che went through Black Demon's memories. Tracing their hideout, he massacred each one of them. They did not expect this sudden attack from someone and were completely unprepared. The same night mercenary group was entirely wiped out.
Yun Che released the captives held by them. They were the people from the Phoenix Clan belonging to all age groups.
