Is Luna a yandere?
It was around two hours since the Abyssal Wizard was defeated and an unexpected yet welcomed person arrived.
After Austin came back to his senses, Luna asked everyone to give them space before she chanted a barrier around the two.
Kyouki and Cordelia went to a corner as they treated each other with the first aid kit they had in Kyouki's pouch. They didn't have many injuries but the accumulated stress was much needed to be released.
Saya just stepped backward but didn't move her gaze from the place where she knew her brother was. She didn't have the capability or intention to pry into Luna and her brother's intimate moments, but the greed to meet her brother as soon as possible didn't let her move away.
Despite being tired both physically and mentally, Saya was standing still with her gaze frozen at the same spot.
_._._
Inside the dome, Austin lay down on the floor with his upper body completely exposed.
Luna did treated him but the blood stains were still there and so was her own assurance. She couldn't sit still until she doesnt check all his injuries by herself.
"Hey."
"..."
It was the third time, Austin called for her but Luna still didn't reply and continued to clean him with warm water and soft towels. Her eyes were filled with concern but whenever she heard his voice her gaze turned slightly cold.
Austin was even restricted to move his limbs since Luna was binding his limbs with mana.
Being annoyed a little, Austin spoke without minding whether she responds but it somehow backfired or not.
"Hey, it alright now. As you see, I am quite fine-"
"Fine huh?"
Luna finally turned her chilling gaze in his direction making Austin shut up in an instant. Her hand which rubbed the towel gently came to an abrupt halt as she finally began to wail out her build-up anxiety.
"You know how hard it was for me to see you like that? After being separated for so long, I was greeted with a half-dead Austin…do you know what would have gone across my heart. I felt burning this world and the things inside it who dared to hurt you! To hurt the person I love!! And here you…hick.."
Amidst reprimanding, tears started rolling down her fluffy cheeks when Austin instantly broke free of her frail binds and held Luna in his arms.
Luna also didn't resist and let herself get wrapped in her favorite warmth as she rested her head on his chest while he rubbed her back gently.
"Don't cry now. You know it pains me the most when I see you like this. I know it was reckless of me to go overboard but you know if it comes to you or Saya, I just lose it. And I knew, even if I push myself to the point which I can't afford, you will save me, somehow. So please don't be sad anymore. I am completely fine now."
Austin kept on consoling and pampering the weeping Luna that he was alright but only she knows how she felt when her eyes landed on the lifeless Austin. If not for her arriving another minute, then he might have lost his life.
There indeed was a stone that would have bestowed him with another life but still, Luna was utterly distressed about the idea to let Austin die in the first place. She couldn't even think of that moment when he closes his eyes before her…
It took some time but Luna seemed to calm down after his continuous comforting and assuring her about his well-being.
"Baka….always making me worried…"
Luna bit on his nape in the complaint which Austin accepted wholeheartedly. If it quells her pain he would let her bite as much as she wants.
"I swear if you dare to let yourself get hurt like that again… I will chain you up and never will let you go away from my sight."
Austin trembled slightly as he thought that Luna might have some y-dere traits but he shooed those thoughts away and hugged her even more tightly.
"Mm…whatever you say…"
_______________…
After more than half an hour of recharging herself enough to survive for a day and two, Luna disintegrated the barrier making the three outside, startled.
Saya stepped forward as she saw Luna walking forward while hugging her brother cozily. Compared to earlier it felt like even flowers might bloom if planted under her feet at the moment.
However, Saya's gaze only lingered her for a moment before her gaze fell on the man beside her. Messy blond hair, evidently ragged condition but healthy enough that he was able to walk properly, and a pair of eyes that radiated nothing but genuine concern for her.
Her brother's face and outer appearance might have changed but the emotions he carries in those eyes were still the same as she remember. Seeking out for her even though she messes up a big time. Or whenever she felt lonely, he would extend his arms just like he was doing now…
"Why do you look so dazed? Come here."
Saya trodded feebly for some steps before she fell into her brother's arms, leaving all the worries and exhaustion she has been weighted down with.
Luna gave the two some space as she approached the duo standing still in the corner.
'Well, she deserved that much… '
