Isn’t the wannabe Villain too cute?

Mature Venessa?!

"Never thought I would meet you here…and alone."

Under the brightly shining sun, two women of similar ages walked through a dense forest that was only surrounded by greenery and wild creatures.

The girl who just spoke in an uncertain tone was a short crimson hair cool beauty who previously was also a student of Eden Academy, Vanessa Charles.

Unlike in the past, she had much more warrior sharpness in her frame, and her aura also seemed to be profoundly heavier than before.

Luna was surprised to see such a change in Venessa if taking the time she left the Academy into consideration. Not normally people grow this much in so less time.

"Alone huh? Were you expecting someone with me or something?"

Vanessa's steps halted abruptly as she heard Luna's teasing remark which for some reason seemed threatening as well. Vanessa chose to stay silent on the matter for her own good.

"Forget it. If you don't want to become a hindrance, stop following me."

Luna would have used levitation and gotten rid of this baggage that popped out of nowhere but to find the artifact creator, she has to tread carefully.

"Believe it or not, I am not the same person who bitched around the whole day. If anytime I seem to become a problem in your way, I will do my best to remove myself away."

Luna didn't respond but she know, the current Venessa was indeed a different person who unlike in the past seemed more reliable and mature.

"!!"

All of sudden, Luna's feet halted with her eyes stretching wide and the color from her face evaporating in an instant.

Vanessa got startled to see such a reaction from the Saintess as she hurriedly approached Luna and asked in a slow whisper.

"Did something happen?"

With her eyes still, unmoving Luna parted her lips and was able to usher a single word out of her throat.

"....Austin."

"Onii-sama! Are you okay?! Where does it hurt?"

As Saya charged at the scene she helped her fallen brother to sit while leaning his back on her bent leg and her free hand searching for any injury.

The Golem which has been creating havoc until now has been destroyed to pieces through the usage of Dwarves' Hammer.

But after the strike, Austin also fell to the ground with a profound frown contouring his face and discomfort seemingly rushing all over his body.

"I-I am okay… Just the usage of mana-Khwak…

Austin vomited a mouthful of blood on the ground, increasing Saya's anxiety as tears also started bubbling in her round eyes.

It was the result of the severe backlash Austin felt from using such a weapon which required his mana and added to the previous usage too. He was fortunate to have such a strong will that didn't let his consciousness fade away.

[Aww… and here I was stretching myself to go on a round or two against you. Sad you are dying..]

The Abyssal Wizard's voice reached up to the two before Saya growled with her eyes growing fiery toward the robed-talking piece of shit.

Her body was flickering with raven lightning as her breathing grew erratic past each second with her gaze turning life-threatening.

Anyone would have lost their confidence in front of the current Saya and it was no different for the Wizard as well. The smirk on his face vanished as he stared back at the woman who gave a presence seemingly bigger than he primarily evaluated.

The Wizard had a hunch that if not for mana restriction, the battle between him and the woman might not have concluded in his favor.

"It's okay, Saya. I'll be fine in a minute. "

Austin held his sister's hand before she does something irreversible as he took out a dagger from his inventory.

Saya turned her gaze toward her brother as she saw a cyan radiance glowing from the small weapon.

"Onii-sama, this… "

"Yeah. It's coated with Holy Magic which Luna gave me in case of emergency. I never thought I would be using it just on the fifth floor tho… "

Saying so, Austin pierced the dagger right into his left chest pad. The dagger was far better than any of Austin's recovery pills or recovery artifacts. But since it takes a toll on the user's body, Luna only created one.

"Argh! "

Austin's hold on Saya's hand subconsciously tightened to the point she felt her bones creaking but she didn't had mind to pay attention to it as she kept her worried gaze fixated on her brother.

Austin was in severe pain since the remedy was working efficiently at each corner of his body and recovering the mana that Austin lost during the fight. Since there was no mana in the surrounding, once lost mana would never be returned until they are in the labyrinth.

And Austin had lost a lot in his last onslaught.

While getting treated, Austin whispered in a low tone that only Saya could hear.

"Listen carefully, Saya. I will now engage in battle with that Wizard. I will occupy him in every way possible but as I have sensed, I cannot kill him. That's why I need your help."

Saya nodded in determination as she never was planning to let her brother get in this alone again. This time she would do whatever she can to end this robbed bastard once and for all.

"Alright, Onii-sama. You create the opening and I will use everything I have to land the final blow. "
