Isn’t the wannabe Villain too cute?

Way to the core~1!

Due to the last brawl with the Golem, Austin's armor was mostly broken and some cuts on his inner vest were also inflicted.

There was not much time to change into new armor and guards and the current one was nothing but seemed like a hindrance.

So after letting go of his guard, Austin just stood in his torn shirt with his lower wear fortunately still unscathed.

His breathing calmed down somewhat as he stared at the Abyssal mage who was still levitating albeit a little higher than before.

Saya took some distance from her brother since she was told to take the final strike. Until then, she could just pray that her Onii-sama doesn't hurt himself.

Kyouki and Cordelia were in their previous position with their eyes glued to the battlefield as sweat profoundly covered their foreheads.

It was mind-numbing to see Austin fighting the Golem one-on-one and came out victorious. Taking mana restriction and the prowess the Golem carried into consideration, both of them had no hope of even withstanding that machine for some minutes.

It wasn't that they were under-evaluating themselves. It's just that a single boy of the same age as them has strength that they have long lost the capability to comprehend.

Austin inhaled deeply, before he exchanged his demonic sword with a strange spear.

Until he doesn't evaluate what this Wizard actually is, Austin prefers to maintain a certain distance.

The spear he ejected out of the inventory was a golden-staffed weapon with a 10 cm spear blade and a dark orb connected to its rear end. It was 2.4 m in length and relatively lengthier than most of his weapons.

Pointing the tip in the Wizard's direction, Austin closed his eyes for a second before he gathered strength in his legs and lunged forward, leaving a smoke of gust behind.

"Hupp!"

The leap was huge, to say the least as within five seconds he was at a reachable distance from the Wizard before Austin swung his spear in an upward slash with ferocious speed.

*TING**

But to no avail. The Wizard just flickered the approaching attack with his fingers without much change of expression. It totally was a waste to attack him front-on.

Being thrown off-balance, Austin tried to retreat but it was too late.

**DHAK**

A fist revealed out of the long robe Wizard shrouds himself with and stuck near Austin's ribs.

**BOOOOOM*

Austin was thrown to the ground with a single punch as the crash formed cracks in the floor.

The exchange happened in so little time that the three watching from a distance had their eyes wide at their farthest reach and mouth parted in shock.

They have grown somehow accustomed to seeing Austin dominating the battle so this conclusion was somewhat startling.

But Austin was far from shocked. He darted from his place and this time he didn't leap but ran to the Wizard and threw his spear with sheer force.

**SLING**

Without letting a second go waste, Austin ran to the back side of Wizard and jumped furiously with his eyes turning slightly red.

The spear and his leap were in alignment as they approached the Wizard from two different directions.

It was a splendid display of precise spear technique and tremendous agility to match himself just accurately with the weapon.

But again, it was futile…

**TING**

With a bell ringing sound, the Wizard grabbed both the spearhead and Austin's incoming punch with his body turned sideways without much effort at all.

Austin was in the Wizard's hold, but rather than shocked, a grin spread across his face which made the man frown slightly.

But before he could have expected what was to come, Austin swung something in a frightening manner and got himself out of the hold.

The wizard raised his brows before he lifted his hand and saw there was nothing after his forearm.

Landing on the ground, Austin threw the slain hand away as he figured something useful out.

There wasn't any blood or muscle visibly flowing out of the cut but just a black smoke emerged before the Wizard's hand was back to normal.

'He's weak in close range… '

Austin concluded that the man's reflexes were a little dull when he slashed his dagger and thus formed the next thing which the blond youth is going to advance upon.

But the problem was Wizard's position. While being in the air, Austin couldn't engage in close combat for long. That brings the requirement of the only way possible.

'Let's take you down first… '
