Way to the Core~3!
"SAYA NOOO!!"
Despite crying out loud, Saya was agitated enough to stop in her track as she dashed to the scene with fury burning in her gaze and heavy mana leaking subconsciously.
Austin knew that the flames which the Wizard was shielding himself from, through his robe, would surely burn Saya severely.
And it goes without saying that the sly man would retract his robe as soon Saya enter the proximity where she could be rained down with the Spiritual Flames.
Austin has no choice rather than to request the spirits to pull away before they hurt his sister.
"XXX-XX!!"
The fall of hell vanished in an instant as the older-looking girl reached near the wizard as she intended to slash her blade and decapitate the bastard's head off.
But what troubled Austin was the smirk which never left the man's lips and soon Austin realized the reason for it.
**SWISH**
The robe indeed moved out of its shield form but it didn't get back over its owner, rather approached someone else.
"!!"
Saya didn't even notice when something wrapped around her at such a ferocious pace before her blade dropped down to the ground and she found herself facing nothing but darkness.
"Mmmph! Hmmph!!"
Saya tried her best to break free but from Austin's perception, that robe wasn't even moving even a bit. Only after entrapping Saya within fractions of seconds, the robe levitated away.
The turn of events happened in mere blinks and Austin was left shocked beyond belief. Only when he saw Saya being taken away, did he get out of his stupor and extended his hand to grab the man.
But it was too late…
[Hahah! The pitiful soul got targetted just because of her love for her brother~]
The Wizard took the advantage of Austin's absent-mindedness as he flew away from the floor and levitated just beside his robe.
Saya's struggling figure was right in Austin's view as he instantly got up and threw all his worries about the backlash of mana.
But before he could have flown off and gouge the life out of the shithead, some figures suddenly emerged out of nowhere and smashed Austin back to the ground with a strong thud.
"Fuck!"
Austin couldn't help but groan in annoyance as he saw the number of shadow slaves emerging in front. If they were regular slaves then Austin would have annihilated them with Spiritual Energy but no.
What made Austin quite troubled since some minutes ago was now in more than one in quantity, standing tall and ready to engage in battle any moment now.
[Thanks to you, their pseudo soul got destroyed and I can now summon them as much as I want.]
Austin wasn't standing still to listen to the useless chatters as the Golems started raining down a barrage of front-on attacks.
Their strength wasn't like the original ones but in that quantity, it was almost impossible to get out unscathed.
"Argh!"
Austin tried to sneak between the gaps but the wizard suddenly fired strange energy from his finger which threw Austin back to the surface.
One of the Golem took the chance and slammed its massive fist just precisely at the place where Austin fell, further engraving a greater with the blond youth as its center.
Austin felt massive damage surging from inside but he has to use his skill to reach Saya as soon as possible.
[Gravity Manipulation]
Extending his hand, Austin put pressure on the dozens of Golem but due to the constant jammer of his natural magical energy, the skill remained short of fulfilling its role.
The four who were near him fell flat on the ground just after Austin left the crater and dashed toward the nearest Golem.
He knew the Wizard won't let him save Saya until he doesn't defeat all the Golem and so he shall do so.
Gritting his teeth, Austin clenched his fist as his world seemed red due to the pressure he was feeling with the heavy amount of mana he released.
But he cared about none at the moment.
**BOOOOM**
A roaring blast echoed in the surroundings as Austin hit the Golem right in its abdomen before the gigantic thing could have blocked him.
But rather than being forced to take two steps back, the Golem wasn't harmed much and so it countered soon enough.
The Golem didn't hit the human rather it pressed its big hand on him and pushed the human down to the ground roughly.
This time the other undead Golems didn't wait and landed their foot on Austin one after another before the human could get back on his feet.
The sound of massive feet smashing to the ground restlessly made the empty floor horrifyingly noisy.
Kyouki could only grit his teeth in frustration since leaving his place would only mean leaving Cordelia to die. And the hero still believes that there was more to Austin, even though he knows it was just his wishful expectation.
Cordelia was growing pale to see that amount of terrifying beings stomping over the boy who seemed undefeatable some moments ago. The shift of events was too frightening to believe.
Austin's Gravity Manipulation also faded away as he found himself struggling even to keep his eyes open by the brutal onslaught he came in contact with for the first time.
His half-open eyes were lingering on his sister who was still caged by the robe.
His thought process was getting clogged up as Austin ran across his brain to think what possibly he could do when suddenly something caught his partial vision.
Saya's movement seemed to be slowing down all of a sudden. Like she is accepting her defeat.
Like she is going to lose hope in her brother.
Like he might never see her again.
Like there won't be anyone who will call him Onii-sama again.
Like… she…is going to…
**SNAP**
The Wizard who was enjoying the show with his eyes curved suddenly widened his gaze as he felt something.
Something massive and furious from the place where the blondie is….or…was…
