Lord: Sequence Master

Chapter 102: The Glorious Lighthouse of the Territory

Rosen used his Main God Computer to convert the new Mechanical Spirit Transformation into a Noble Divine Skill, but deciding which two buildings to transform posed a dilemma for him.

After careful consideration, he selected the Alchemical Castle as the first target for transformation within his domain.

[Mechanical Spirit Transformation: Divine Skill]

Attributes: Can transform a domain building into a living mechanical spirit building.

Target: Sequence 9 Alchemical Castle

The transformation process was swift. In less than an hour, the Alchemical Castle had been completely transformed. Rosen immediately felt the castle come to life—no longer needing its central control system, his spiritual energy now flowed effortlessly through every part of the castle, allowing him to channel his extraordinary powers through it.

He merged Shadow Step with the Alchemical Castle, allowing the entire structure to blend into the shadows and vanish from sight. Then, he fused Devour into the castle, enabling it to consume various metals and building materials to grow and evolve within a certain range.

The transformation of this divine building brought unexpected benefits, surpassing Rosen's expectations.

With defense now secured, Rosen still lacked an offensive structure. Unfortunately, his Divine Domain didn't yet have any extraordinary offensive buildings, so he would have to find one in the outside world.

Returning to the coastal town, Rosen noticed a lighthouse near the shore that piqued his interest.

The Glorious Lighthouse was a structure commissioned by the lord of the Mechanical Spirit Islands. Built before the formation of the World Government, it was the work of an ancient gnome, a pioneer in architectural extraordinary sequences. Though the Glorious Lighthouse was only Sequence 9, extraordinary buildings often outperformed their sequence levels.

Despite its Sequence 9 rank, the lighthouse had the power to fend off even Sequence 7 extraordinary sea beasts that attacked the town.

The lighthouse absorbed sunlight and released powerful light magic. Currently, its tower was broken, and it was unclear if Mechanical Spirit Transformation could restore it during the conversion process. However, without a better option, Rosen stealthily approached the lighthouse.

Using his spiritual energy, Rosen encompassed the area and employed his Scavenging Space to collect the broken upper part of the lighthouse. The lower half, deeply rooted in the coast, could not be easily removed.

Rosen summoned Gray Rat, who used its earthburrow ability to help dig out the lighthouse's foundation.

After half a day of effort, Rosen successfully stored both parts of the Glorious Lighthouse in his Scavenging Space.

Excited, he returned to his Divine Domain and began refining the second Mechanical Spirit Transformation skill crystal, targeting the Glorious Lighthouse.

The shattered pieces of the lighthouse started to reassemble and reconnect under the power of the transformation.

[Mechanical Spirit Transformation: Divine Skill]

Attributes: Can transform a domain building into a living mechanical spirit building.

Targets: Sequence 9 Alchemical Castle, Sequence 9 Glorious Lighthouse

Just like the Alchemical Castle, Rosen could now channel his own extraordinary abilities through the Glorious Lighthouse. His Death Strike could boost the power of the lighthouse's light magic by 120%. Combined with his Sequence 8 Light and Shadow Mastery, the lighthouse's light magic became even more potent.

Extraordinary buildings typically performed two sequence levels higher than their rank in terms of power. The Sequence 9 Glorious Lighthouse could now pose a threat even to Sequence 6 enemies, assuming it could strike them with its powerful magic.

The Glorious Lighthouse featured three types of light magic:

Glorious Beam for single-target attacks.

Glorious Flare for group attacks.

Glorious Barrier, which combined offense and defense, reflecting damage.

With this new powerful structure under his control, Rosen now had the confidence to exploit the Mechanical Spirit Islands' chaos.

In a secluded corner of the island, Rosen attempted to descend his Divine Domain into reality. As a Noble Domain Lord, his domain existed both in the spiritual realm and within his pineal gland in the sea of consciousness.

There were three methods to manifest the Divine Domain in reality:

Projection Descent: Projects the domain into reality, offering speed but limited power.

Independent Descent: Descends the domain independently, offering moderate power and faster deployment than full fusion.

Fusion Descent: Fully fuses the domain with the real world, providing the greatest power but requiring considerable time.

Since Rosen had ample preparation time, he opted for Fusion Descent.

The Fusion Descent took two full days, much slower than expected. This was due to Rosen's lacking extraordinary skills that could enhance the efficiency of domain descent. Nevertheless, the preparation was worth it—Rosen now felt stronger than ever.

He released his self-portrait and Shadow Stepped toward the alchemical golem.

The golem sensed his approach immediately.

It teleported to Rosen's self-portrait, but he was ready. The self-portrait shattered a Return Card, allowing it to fly to a designated location.

The destination was the coastal town, and in the blink of an eye, the self-portrait soared through the air, encased in psychic energy.

If the golem had acted before the flight, it could have intercepted the self-portrait easily. But once in flight, even the Sequence 6 golem, with its partial control over space, could only follow in pursuit.

Before the self-portrait reached the town, it was destroyed mid-air, blood spraying everywhere. This was the work of the mysterious ceramic pot, revealing that Return Cards came with inherent risks in high-level battles.

Nonetheless, Rosen's plan had worked. The ceramic pot, sensing the golem's approach, moved to confront it.

As Rosen repaired his self-portrait, he stood atop the Spiritual Watchtower of his Alchemical Castle. This tower increased his perception range by nine times, allowing him to extend his spiritual senses over dozens of miles.

Once the alchemical golem and the ceramic pot had finished fighting, Rosen would use his spiritual senses to lure in any surviving mechanical spirits.

For observing the battle from afar, Rosen used his Godslayer's Magic Eye, a spiritual tool suspended high in the air.

Normally, a human could see clearly up to 50 meters. For someone like Rosen, his base perception was 500 meters. With his 4.6x enhanced physique, this increased to 2300 meters. His extraordinary senses further amplified his perception by fivefold, giving him a clear view of 11,500 meters. The Magic Eye magnified this by another 20 times, allowing him to see as far as 230 kilometers.

At this distance, Rosen's view of the battlefield was as clear as a normal person's view of something 50 meters away.

From his vantage point, he could easily observe every detail of the battle between the alchemical golem and the mysterious ceramic pot.
