Chapter 7: GHOST MARRIAGE NOT
THUD.
That was the sound of Jin Taejoon falling on his butt when his knees gave up.
Hah!
Heedo looked down at Jin Taejoon while the gangster raised his head to glare at him. "You're strong against a weak Omega, but weak against a stronger Alpha. Pathetic."
"It's only because you played dirty, brat!"
Ah, it's probably because Ahjussi used a gun in a fight.
There was a strict gun control in South Korea.
However, bodyguards were allowed to carry guns if their client was an Alpha.
As I said before, Alpha Privilege is a thing.
Heedo looked down at the gangster's leg. "Don't be dramatic. Ahjussi only grazed your leg. If we wanted you dead, you would have been dead a long time ago."
Shin Kang nodded in silent agreement.
"I'm not talking about your bodyguard shooting me with a gun. It was my fault coming here alone anyway," Jin Taejoon complained. "I'm talking about you hiding the fact that you're a Hyper-Dominant Alpha."
What?
Shin Kang turned to Heedo with a shocked look on his face. "Young Master, are you a Hyper-Dominant Alpha?"
"That class is just a myth, Ahjussi," Heedo said while shaking his head, and then he turned to Jin Taejoon with knitted eyebrows. "You're an Alpha, too. You know that 'Hyper-Dominant Alphas' aren't real."
Apparently, when a bonded Alpha or Dominant Alpha finds their fated pair, they "level up" and become physically stronger than they already are.
But things like fated pairs weren't scientifically proven.
And I don't want to believe in them.
After all, Heedo was an Alpha who wanted to spend his life with a Beta.
"You can't be an ordinary Dominant Alpha," Jin Taejoon said, already getting pale as if he was losing strength. "I'm also a Dominant Alpha, so there's no way your mere pheromones could push me down like this."
Heedo shrugged casually. "Eh, I don't know about that. Not all Dominant Alphas are created equal."
"You arrogant bastard—"
"Hey, leave Park Sohee Hyung from now on."
"And why would I listen to you?"
"My family has already paid off Park Sohee Hyung's father's debts."
Jin Taejoon scoffed. "Park Sohee's father would just come back and borrow money from us again— mark my words."
"Nah, that won't happen," Heedo said, putting his hands in his pockets. "We'll make sure Park Sohee Hyung's father won't be able to borrow money from anyone ever again. Plus, your father signed a contract with us— he won't lend Park Sohee Hyung's father money even if that deadbeat comes knocking at your door."
"My father signed a contract with you?"
"Yeah, so you're not allowed to touch Park Sohee Hyung anymore."
"And who are you to tell me what I can and can't do?"
"It's your father's order, not mine," Heedo said, raising an eyebrow. "Your father said he won't pass down his wealth and position to you if you so much as approach Park Sohee Hyung again. Your father also wants you to know that if you disobey his order, he'll name his illegitimate son as his heir instead of you."
Jin Taejoo was too stunned to speak.
No, the gangster actually looked hurt and betrayed.
It's either he's afraid to lose his inheritance or lose to his half-brother— or maybe both.
"I've made myself clear," Heedo said, turning his back on Jin Taejoo. "I'll kill you if you touch Sohee Hyung again, bastard."
He then walked out of the apartment.
Of course, Shin Kang followed him.
And as soon as the door closed…
"Ahjussi, I'll drive myself to the hospital," Heedo said, getting the car key from Shin Kang. "I want to beat up that gangster for assaulting Sohee Hyung, but I want to check on hyung first. So, please beat that bastard to a pulp in my place, Ahjussi."
Shin Kang bowed politely. "As you wish, Young Master."

"SOHEE-YA, from now on, I hope you get to live a good life."
Hmm?
Sohee immediately realized that he was having a dream.
How else would he be having tea with his dead grandfather if he wasn't dreaming?
And, if I remember correctly, this seems like our old house in Busan.
"Grandpa…"
To be honest, Sohee had already forgotten what his grandfather looked like.
But, in that dream, he could clearly see his grandpa's beaming face.
It was surreal to be with his grandfather now that he was an adult.
I was very young when Grandpa passed away, but I remember he was more of a father to me than my own biological father.
"Grandpa, I'm going to live a good life now that I've found my golden goose— all thanks to you, of course," Sohee said, smiling. Since it was only a dream, might as well say everything he wanted to say, even if it sounded silly. "I won't hold back even if I end up looking like a leech to that family."
"You have all the right to demand a comfortable life from those people— so, go ahead and ask them to support you as long as you are alive. They have no choice since you're bound to marry that old bastard's grandson anyway."
"Right?"
"Just one more thing, my precious grandson," Park Sung, his grandfather, said while smiling mischievously at him. "Make sure to knock up that old man's grandson— that would be my greatest revenge."
Sohee flinched at his grandfather's request. "Grandpa, I actually manifested as an Omega many years after you passed away," he confessed awkwardly. "So, I'm the one who's going to get pregnant if I have unprotected sex with Kim Heedo."
"WHAAAAT?!"
***
ARGH.
Sohee woke up because of his grandfather's loud scream in his head.
It was just a dream, but Grandpa's scream almost made my eardrums burst…
"Hyung, you're awake?"
Hmm?
As soon as Sohee opened his eyes, he was greeted by Heedo's handsome face.
But this isn't a hospital, is it?
"We're at the Myung-hwa Shrine, Hyung," Heedo said when he probably noticed Sohee's confusion. "And we're getting married here today."
Sohee's eyes widened in shock, and then he let out a relieved laugh. "Welcome back, my precious golden goose."
