Chapter 6: Chapter 6: The First Visitor
As a passionate fan of anime and superhero comics, Han Yu was no stranger to this ring. It didn't belong to the Marvel Universe but instead hailed from another superhero universe—the DC Universe. In DC, the most iconic superheroes are Batman and Superman.
This ring, however, was one of the most powerful artifacts in the DC Universe!
"This is an absolute win!"
Han Yu couldn't take his eyes off the Green Lantern ring. His excitement wasn't just because it was an artifact but because of its unique properties. The Green Lantern ring could manifest anything its wielder could imagine, with the only limit being the user's willpower.
And conveniently, Han Yu possessed an extraordinary mental power granted by his innate ability: the Immortal God Seal.
This ability had been bound to him by the system when he first arrived in this world.
Its name sounded incredibly powerful, and in reality… it truly was.
While not granting literal immortality, it elevated Han Yu's body and mental strength to unprecedented heights. He could even launch devastating mental attacks directly.
The aura that had intimidated the Six Paths Pain earlier had stemmed from this immense mental power.
As for the 'God Seal,' those familiar with Odin, the All-Father of the Marvel Universe, would understand. At this moment, Han Yu was no less powerful than a Skyfather-level deity.
With a mere thought, emerald light surged from the Green Lantern ring and manifested into different figures before him.
The Monkey King, Pleasant Goat, Big Big Wolf, SpongeBob SquarePants—all flawlessly replicated with intricate details.
But just as he was reveling in his newfound power, Han Yu's brows furrowed. Something was missing.
He searched through his personal status screen but couldn't find what he was looking for.
"This ring… doesn't have a lantern!"
Every Green Lantern ring typically came with a lantern battery for recharging. Yet, Han Yu had received only the ring.
This wasn't some time-limited upgrade item from the system. It wasn't meant to run out.
What did this mean?
It meant this ring's energy was very likely… infinite!
Han Yu took a deep breath, his excitement hard to contain. If the energy from this ring was indeed infinite, he could use its construct-creation properties to produce countless duplicate rings, each controlled by his master ring.
In essence, he could form an entire army!
The Green Lantern Corps!
In the DC Universe, the Green Lantern Corps was a cosmic-level police force maintaining peace across the universe. If Han Yu could create his own version in the Marvel Universe—a world still largely reliant on advanced technology—he would become unstoppable.
The Green Lantern Corps was the epitome of a true superpowered army.
"I need to master this ring as quickly as possible. It'll become my greatest weapon!"
With that resolve, Han Yu headed toward a door beneath the second-floor staircase. From the outside, it appeared to be an ordinary storage room, but stepping inside revealed a vast space—over a hundred square meters wide.
"The alternate space I unlocked with five upgrade points is finally coming in handy."
With a mere thought, the interior space transformed into a modern cityscape with visible boundaries.
Han Yu's shop wasn't just an ordinary three-story building. While it appeared that way on the outside, the number of floors and the layout of each room depended entirely on Han Yu's upgrades.
For ten upgrade points, he could add an additional floor, and each floor came with five rooms, customizable through further upgrades.
This vast alternate space had been strategically placed under the staircase storage room. It was dedicated to practicing abilities and testing new items.
Han Yu raised his hand, channeling Green Lantern energy into his palm. A bright green handprint materialized, growing larger as it soared forward.
By the time it struck a towering skyscraper, the handprint had expanded to over thirty meters in size. The targeted section of the building disintegrated instantly, and the entire structure collapsed in a heap of rubble.
The sheer power left Han Yu speechless.
This Green Lantern ring wasn't just an artifact; it was a world-altering weapon.
And now, it was his.
"Incredible! The power of this unlimited Green Lantern Ring is insane. I didn't even use ten percent of its strength, yet I destroyed an entire building. Its destructive force surpasses even Hyorinmaru!"
Han Yu grinned. In his memory, the Green Lanterns usually fought by materializing objects for combat.
But Han Yu was different. Growing up in China, he had a deep love for martial arts and xianxia novels. The flashy techniques and intricate combat styles fascinated him in his youth.
This influence shaped his fighting style. Besides using swords and blades, he incorporated the energy from the Green Lantern Ring into martial arts and combat techniques.
Han Yu spent the entire night in the storage room training with the Green Lantern Ring. Even the system-generated pocket dimension could only withstand fifty percent of his full power before showing signs of collapse.
By the time Han Yu stepped out of the storage room, it was already noon the next day. Stretching lazily, he realized his overnight training had left him feeling ravenous—like he could eat an entire cow.
With a casual pinch of his fingers, a Senzu Bean appeared between them. He tossed it into his mouth, and the hunger instantly vanished, leaving him fully satiated.
While the hunger was gone, Han Yu still planned to take a nap. To him, sleeping was one of life's greatest pleasures. If becoming a god meant giving up sleep, it would be a significant loss.
Just as he was about to head to his room, a clear chime from the shop's entrance bell caught his attention.
"A customer?"
Han Yu straightened his clothes and walked downstairs.
As he descended, the door to the shop swung open.
The visitor's face was startlingly familiar. Han Yu had seen him on TV just a few days ago when he had taken down a villain's hideout.
It was none other than Iron Man, Tony Stark from the Avengers!
Tony Stark stepped into the shop, his sharp eyes scanning the seemingly ordinary interior. It was far from what he had expected.
He even stepped back to double-check the signboard outside and glanced at the business card in his hand. After confirming he hadn't made a mistake, he walked towards Han Yu behind the counter.
"Hello, I'm looking for the shop owner," Tony said, his eyes still scanning the shop curiously.
"That would be me," Han Yu replied with a smile.
He was used to this reaction. Few people believed someone so young could run a shop that dealt with extraordinary items.
In fact, Han Yu wouldn't blame anyone for expecting an elderly, wise figure instead.
"You?" Tony's disbelief was clear as he scrutinized Han Yu again. The idea of such a young man being the shop owner was hard to accept.
"What do you need? Our shop has everything you can imagine," Han Yu said with a professional smile.
Tony stared at Han Yu for a moment before letting out a self-deprecating sigh.
"I must be losing my mind to think a place like this could solve my problems," he said, shaking his head as he turned to leave.
Just as Tony reached for the doorknob, Han Yu spoke softly.
"I know you're afraid of another incident like the one in New York. And I know you're struggling to create a suit of armor that satisfies you."
Tony froze, his hand hovering inches from the doorknob.
Han Yu was referring to the alien invasion of New York a few months prior—an event that made humanity realize they were not the only intelligent beings in the universe.
Slowly, Tony turned around, his face filled with shock and disbelief. How did this shopkeeper know what was weighing on his mind?
Ever since the Battle of New York, Tony had been gripped by an unprecedented anxiety.
He feared that something similar would happen again. And when it did, would he be able to stop it? Or would he have to watch helplessly as the people he loved were hurt or even killed?
That fear drove him to seek out this mysterious shop, hoping to find a solution.
