Marvel: I Can Summon

Chapter 12: Chapter 12: Captain Jack's Compass

US time is almost seven hours ahead of Afghanistan. When Kyle left the US around 4 PM, it was already around 9 AM in Afghanistan.

At 9 AM in Afghanistan, especially in the desert areas, the heat wave is already intense.

Having carried out missions in Afghanistan several times during his military career, Kyle naturally knew the terrain well and arrived directly by teleportation.

Looking around, Kyle frowned.

Although the nearly 40 degrees Celsius temperature didn't affect him physically due to the perfect T-virus serum he'd been injected with, the high temperature was still irritable.

However, the thought of the 30 kilograms of Vibranium he was about to acquire brightened Kyle's mood.

Finding someone hidden in the vast desert was more challenging than finding a needle in a haystack. If it weren't, the US military and S.H.I.E.L.D. wouldn't have been searching for Tony Stark for two months without success.

Apart from knowing that Tony Stark was in Afghanistan, Kyle had no other information.

But that didn't mean Kyle couldn't find Tony Stark.

He opened his palm, and a small, worn-out square box appeared. When he opened it, there was a 16th-century style compass inside.

The compass seemed broken, its pointer spinning wildly without stopping.

This was Captain Jack's Compass, a mysterious artifact that didn't point to directions but to what the heart desired.

Kyle took a deep breath and closed his eyes.

After obtaining this compass, Kyle had thought it wouldn't work in the Marvel world. It wasn't until he learned about mental cues while working at the FBI that he realized this compass was a powerful tool for finding things.

Giving himself the mental cue to "find Tony Stark," Kyle opened his eyes.

The compass had stopped its chaotic spinning and pointed in a clear direction.

Once the direction was set, everything else became simpler.

He closed the compass and put it back into his golden space.

Using psychokinesis, Kyle lifted himself to a height of tens of meters above the ground and propelled himself forward, increasing speed until he broke the sound barrier.

"Boom!"

A sonic boom cloud exploded around Kyle as his flight speed exceeded the speed of sound.

Although this wasn't his ultimate flight speed, Kyle didn't push it further. With psychokinesis boosting him to Mach 2, he flew for nearly an hour, using the compass twice to ensure he stayed on course.

He finally found a settlement camp full of various weapons and ammunition.

His Haki detected two auras busy in the hills nearby, likely Tony Stark and the doctor who saved him, working on the Mark 1.

"No wonder the military and S.H.I.E.L.D. couldn't find this place; it's outside Afghanistan," Kyle muttered.

Without hesitation, Kyle headed towards the settlement camp.

"@#!"

The sentry post spotted Kyle approaching and started yelling. Kyle, ignoring them, continued walking.

This angered the sentry, who raised his AK and fired at Kyle.

"Such savagery, attacking without a word," Kyle thought.

He didn't evade; the bullets were blocked by his psychokinesis 20 centimeters from his body and fell harmlessly to the ground.

The sentry, seeing Kyle unharmed, looked shocked. He hurriedly reloaded his magazine.

But Kyle didn't give him another chance. A silver-white Colt Python revolver appeared in his hand, and he casually pulled the trigger.

The .357 caliber bullet pierced the sentry's head.

Kyle was stunned for a moment, then delighted.

It wasn't the kill that pleased him, but the fact that the summoning technique progress bar in his consciousness had increased by about 1%, indicating that the sentry had at least 10 lives on his conscience.

Scanning the camp with Haki, Kyle detected 145 life signs. Excluding Tony Stark, there were 143 people, enough to gather energy for a summoning.

Feeling motivated, Kyle summoned a solid black Colt Python revolver for his other hand.

Armed with the two Colt Pythons, one black and one white, Kyle stormed the settlement.

He shot everyone he saw, never wasting a bullet, each one hitting between the eyebrows.

The outlaws in the camp fought back with various weapons, including bazookas, but none could penetrate Kyle's psychokinesis shield.

Like a Grim Reaper from hell, Kyle harvested lives and collected the soul energy of sinners.

Soon, the entire camp was slaughtered.

Kyle felt no guilt; everyone provided at least 0.5% soul energy, meaning each had committed at least five murders.

Seeing the 157% progress bar in his consciousness, Kyle knew this mission to rescue Tony Stark had been worthwhile.

Not only had he secured 30 kilograms of Vibranium from Nick Fury, but he also gathered enough energy for a summoning.

However, Kyle knew such opportunities were rare. The group that kidnapped Tony Stark was likely the only one in Afghanistan daring enough to oppose the US military.

Seeing his full energy bar he could not help himself, but wanted to start summoning.
