Marvel: I Can Summon

Chapter 17: Chapter 17: Iron Monger

When Kyle arrived at Stark Industries, Tony had just flown out of Malibu Beach.

Upon arrival, Kyle saw several agents under Phil Coulson holding pistols and engaging Iron Monger.

"..."

Kyle was speechless. Were these agents joking? If S.H.I.E.L.D.'s agents were like this, it was no wonder HYDRA had infiltrated them without being discovered.

With a wave of telekinesis, Kyle moved the agents to the sides, preventing them from being crushed by Iron Monger.

"Kyle, are you here to help?" Phil Coulson's face brightened when he saw Kyle.

"No, I'm just here to watch the fun. Tony will be here soon. He said he doesn't need my help," Kyle replied.

Phil Coulson opened his mouth but said nothing. Kyle had saved several of his subordinates, after all.

"Is Tony okay?" Pepper Potts asked urgently, overhearing Kyle's mention of Tony. She didn't think Kyle could handle this steel monster.

"He's fine. You'll see him in a few minutes," Kyle said.

"Boom, boom..."

At that moment, the ground shook inexplicably.

Suddenly, a steel monster, eight or nine meters tall, emerged from the ground more than ten meters away.

Iron Monger!

"Let's go, wait for Tony to deal with this," Kyle said.

He had no intention of helping. He was there to watch a live-action version of Iron Man's fight and then take Obadiah's soul.

However, as unpredictable as things were, Obadiah in Iron Monger saw them and decided not to let them go.

With huge strides, he approached them.

"Agent Coulson, what should we do now?" Pepper asked, trying to suppress her fear.

Run? Could they outrun the missiles on Iron Monger's arm?

"Kyle?"

Phil Coulson didn't answer Pepper but looked at Kyle instead.

Kyle sighed, realizing they wouldn't let him watch the fight in peace.

He could teleport away, but Tony hadn't arrived yet, and if he left, Pepper and Phil Coulson would die.

He couldn't let that happen, especially since he had a favor to ask of Tony.

"You stay back; leave this iron lump to me," Kyle said.

Hearing that Kyle intended to fight the steel monster, Pepper looked at him with disbelief.

"Then it's up to you, Kyle," Phil Coulson said, dragging Pepper to the side.

Obadiah, inside Iron Monger, saw Kyle's face clearly and said, "You... you're the FBI agent who rescued Tony from Afghanistan?"

"It's me," Kyle nodded.

"Then I have to thank you. If you hadn't rescued Tony, I wouldn't have gotten this armor. To show my gratitude, I'll let you die quickly."

With that, Iron Monger's steel arm, thicker than a barrel, swung towards Kyle's head.

Pepper, watching from the side, closed her eyes, took a few deep breaths, and mentally prepared herself. When she opened her eyes carefully...

Her eyes widened.

After a moment of stunned silence, she asked in confusion, "Is that iron monster broken?"

Phil Coulson shook his head, saying nothing, but he also felt relieved.

Although he knew Kyle had super abilities and had seen him subdue Natasha Romanoff with them, he wasn't sure if Kyle could handle the steel monster.

Now, it seemed Kyle could not only handle it but do so easily.

Obadiah, inside Iron Monger, was equally confused. Was his armor malfunctioning?

Kyle's telekinesis gripped Iron Monger's arm tightly.

Then, with a forceful swing, Kyle threw Iron Monger, sending it crashing through several walls.

Obadiah, regaining control, saw that the FBI agent was no ordinary person.

Stay away from him, Obadiah thought. If close combat wasn't an option, then he'd blast Kyle from a distance.

Missiles appeared on Iron Monger's shoulders and shot towards Kyle.

An explosive shockwave shattered all surrounding glass.

Obadiah sighed in relief. Such an explosion should have turned even the toughest foe into molten metal.

But within two seconds, a voice came from the smoke: "The power of this missile is a bit small. It wasn't developed by Tony, was it? Let me guess... Hammer Industries?"

Hearing this, Obadiah was shocked.

What?! This guy isn't human! Missiles didn't harm him?!

As the dust settled, Obadiah saw Kyle, his clothes unscathed. Fear gripped him.

A monster! Close combat was futile, and even his most powerful missiles couldn't harm him.

Reluctantly, Obadiah knew he had to escape.

"Damn!! You'll pay for this!!"

Iron Monger's thrusters activated, and the huge suit began to lift off.

"You think you can escape after threatening me? What a joke."

Kyle raised his hand and telekinetically crushed Iron Monger's thrusters.

The suit fell heavily to the ground, and Kyle used telekinesis to rip its arms off.
