Marvel: In 1000 BCE in Ancient India

For the next 2 years I consolidated my rule and developed my kingdom after which I finally started took the next step towards achieving my ambition of conquering and uniting Bharat under one rule.

So, I called my Ally and uncle, the King of Kosala. It took some concession and all but he finally agreed to become a part of my empire andy vassal state. After this, we launched a combined attack on Pundra, Vanga, Odra, and Utkala.

I attacked Pundra, Vanga and Odra myself with the forces of my two kingdoms, and Southern Kosala attacked Utkala. These kingdoms put up a tough front but got defeated in the end and their kingdoms were absorbed in my growing Bhartiya empire.

All their royal family were ended in the male line and their daughters were married to those I appointed as king of these kingdoms and as my vassals.

As for Kalinga, it is difficult to simply win it through might so I send a proposal to king of Kalinga for the hand of his daughter, Kaurwaki in marriage, who will be made the Samragini (empress) of my empire.

Princess Kaurwaki, from what I have heard and the portraits I have seen of her is very beautiful and an accomplished warrior. The type of girl I was looking for as it don't like these weak willed princesses.

Soon reply came from Kalinga that Princess Kaurwaki has accepted the proposal and invited the Magadha royal family along with priest to find an auspicious date for marriage.

The auspicious date is next month when we will marry and she will be made the Samragini of the empire.

Soon the days fly by and our marriage was held with great splendor. After that I spent my time thinking where to make my next move and how to conquer it. Till now I have been getting great success due to my information network of birds and animals and making horses and elephants disobey their riders and cause havoc in their own army.

Before marching towards the densely populated North I decided to conquer my rear first. So my next targets were Telinga, Andhraka, Dravid, Kanchi, Chola, Pandya, Kerala, Mushik, Karanataka, Kishkindha, Gomanta and Konkana.

But they are too many kingdoms even for me with all my territories combined. That's why I need allies between them who could help me in my conquest. So I secretly reached out to Konkana and Kishkindha. It was really hard to convince them as their kings were really prideful but they finally agreed.

We decided to initiate our combined attack after two years during which I will help bolster their economy by bringing trade in their regions.

In these 2 years, I helped in boosting the economy of Konkana and Kishkindha and my territory by bringing optimal weather in these states, supported trade, and slightly harmed the economy of the Southern Bhartiya kingdoms by bringing small floods, destroying roads(which are mostly made of mud) through rain etc.

After 2 years of preparation, I launched an attack on Telinga. They were not expecting an attack so couldn't put a strong defence against me and after a short battle Telinga was put under seige. After putting it under seige I moved towards Andhraka.

Andhraka, able to prepare for an attack put a better defence but was not match for my professionally trained and already bloodied army and within a day Andhraka was defeated on the field and also put under seige.

As soon as I put Andhraka under seige, Konkana and Kishkindha declared their fealty towards me for every kingdom and launched an attack on Gomanta and Karnataka respectively.

Able to field larger army and better army them due to the profit in trade with my empire, they were able to defeat these kingdoms in field and also put them under seige.

Meanwhile, Kosala and Kalinga also ce after preparing their armies and joint me in attacking Dravida. Not able to defeat the combined might of three kingdoms, Dravida decided to surrender infront of me and we moved towards Mahishaka and Kanchi, I sended the Kalinga and Kosala to attack Mahishaka and from their they will attack Mushika. And I myself went with Dravida to attack Kanchi.

Dravida, being at war with Mushika many times was able to explain to me their strategies which they are likely to use, which mostly include guerrilla warfare in the Woodlands and small forests in the region.

I was able to easily counter this through my animals empathy. And soon Kanchi was also put under seige. From there I decided my army in three, putting 2 forces under the command of my most capable and trusted generals who were sent to attack Pandya and Kerala and I along with Dravida attacked Chola.

The same thing repeated here and soon they were put under seige as well. After all of these kingdoms were under seige I started to think of how to enter their forts and defeat these kingdoms.

So starting from Telinga who are under seige the longest I asked my men where the security was most lax specially at night. After carefully observation for a week we were able to find a weak spot. I send some of my men to climb the wall during night and takeover the position of guards and secretly open the door in morning.

The plan was successful and we finally conquered Telinga but I kept a strict hold on information and didn't let any information escape that we have conquered it and moved on towards Andhraka. Same thing repeated itself.

After repeating it a few more times the information inevitably leaked that I have conquered the till Mahishaka. They don't know how I did it but this broke their spirit and other kingdoms decided to accept defeat as they have lost all hope.

And this way I completed my conquest of Southern Bharat but it was just a fourth of my dream. A lot is still left to be achieved afterall my dream is to become the Chakravarti Samrat of Bharat / Bharatvarsha.
