Chapter 79: Marvel Scientist Becomes God, Ch 56.2
Now in tattered, smoke-emitting clothes, he looked disheveled. Fortunately, it was class time, and no students saw him in such a state.
Ye Hai rushed into the elegant castle, bursting into Professor X's room. The professor stared in shock at the disheveled Ye Hai and asked, "Doctor Ye, what happened to make you so anxious?"
"Professor, please help me check this guy and see if there's any hope for him!" Ye Hai replied urgently.
The Blood God was still bouncing around, cackling, "You think this bald old man can trouble me?"
The professor frowned at the Blood God, his gaze piercing like a sword. The Blood God immediately stiffened and exclaimed, "Wow, you've got some skills…"
After a moment, the professor retracted his gaze and smiled at Ye Hai, "This soul is quite weak; its current abilities can't fully consume Blade. Blade's willpower is strong, and he's resisting this ancient soul. I will go assist him…"
With that, he looked back at the Blood God, his gaze becoming almost tangible as it shot out, freezing the Blood God in place, like a statue.
Ye Hai felt helpless in this mental battle; he could only hold onto Blade's body to prevent any further incidents.
"Get out! Get out of here!"
Blade suddenly shouted, his voice resonant and powerful, no longer cold and sinister; it was unmistakably Blade's voice, indicating he had begun to reclaim his bodily autonomy.
A surge of hope filled Ye Hai. "Blade, Blade…"
He called out repeatedly, but received no response. Instead, Blade spoke in strange, incomprehensible tongues. Ye Hai's heart sank—this was the ancient vampire language. The struggle was intense, and with the professor's help, Blade's adversary was still so resilient, revealing just how formidable he had been alive.
"Seal him!"
Suddenly, the professor shouted, a tremendous wave of mental energy surged forward. Blade's body erupted with a bolt of lightning, striking a computer. The screen flickered momentarily before reverting to normal.
"Ah!" Blade opened his eyes, struggling for a moment but unable to break free, as Ye Hai firmly held him.
"Release him, Doctor Ye!" the professor said gently, his eyes regaining their spark.
"Alright." Ye Hai let Blade go and asked, "What about the Blood God, professor? Did you seal him?"
The professor shook his head regretfully, "No, he managed to escape. Did you see that flash of lightning? He used it to flee into the electrical grid; he can survive within it."
Ye Hai frowned, "Professor, I saw the lightning strike the computer. Can he survive on the internet?"
"As long as there is electrical current, he can exist, but unlike the Electro-Man, he cannot absorb electricity to increase power. His only means of gaining strength is through Blade's body."
"Only through Blade's body?" Ye Hai seized on this point, asking, "Professor, do you mean he can't possess anyone else's body?"
"Yes," the professor nodded slightly, "So this ancient soul will come looking for Blade again!"
