"Creak, creak!"

A sound of crumbling stone echoed as the bat statue in the Hall of Eternal Night shattered, releasing a swarm of black bats that flooded towards Ye Hai with shrill cries.

Ye Hai was startled and quickly tried to capture the Blood God. The Blood God slipped away like an eel, leaping into the sky and disappearing into the bat cloud.

The Blood God screeched loudly, the sound grating on the ears, with a demeanor of unparalleled satisfaction.

Ye Hai's eyes widened, and two powerful lasers shot out, piercing a large hole in the cloud of bats. The bats fell like rain, and at that moment, he realized these weren't real creatures but mechanical birds capable of agile flight.

Seeing Ye Hai display such formidable power again, the Blood God realized he was no match for him. He quickly transformed into a bat and hid within the swarm before flying out of the Hall of Eternal Night.

"Thinking of escaping? Do you think you can get away?"

Ye Hai charged into the bat cloud like a cannonball, smashing through the bats in his path. He burst through to confront the giant bat that the Blood God had transformed into and struck it down with a powerful punch, burying it deep into the ground.

The Blood God reverted to human form as he stood up, only to have Ye Hai grip his neck. The immense force made it hard for him to breathe, though it did not threaten his life.

"Although I'm not your opponent, you can't kill me. I am immortal," the Blood God boasted.

Ye Hai sneered, "I never intended to kill you. This body isn't yours; you need to return it to my friend."

"Your friend? You mean that young vampire named Blade?" The Blood God laughed dismissively, "His soul has already been devoured by me; he's become part of me, which means he is dead."

"Oh? So you can be killed as long as your soul is destroyed?" Ye Hai retorted coolly.

The Blood God faltered for a moment, then taunted, "Do you have the ability to annihilate my soul? Ha ha!"

"I may not have that ability, but others might."

Ye Hai smirked coldly, remembering the professor with mental abilities. Perhaps he had a way to deal with this Blood God.

Then he sighed, realizing how entangled this situation had become. It was unexpected that an ancient soul was hidden in the Hall of Eternal Night. Strongman Blade had been possessed, and he wondered if his soul still survived. He needed to get to New York to find the professor quickly.

Without further delay, Ye Hai soared into the sky, rapidly increasing his speed until he surpassed the speed of sound, pushing even further until the immense air resistance set his clothes ablaze, forcing him to halt any further acceleration.

After flying for more than an hour, he arrived over New York and landed directly at the mutant academy.
