Chapter 88: Marvel Scientist Becomes God, Ch 60.2
The Phoenix Woman was momentarily stunned, remembering that the young man before her was technically still in his teenage years, just approaching adulthood. However, Ye Hai's scholarly demeanor often made people overlook his age. To them, he seemed to possess the wisdom of an old sage, almost on par with their professors.
They both exuded wisdom; the professor was a kind, gentle elder, while Ye Hai was full of energy, vibrant and exceptionally pragmatic.
"But I remember you seem to already have a girlfriend," the Phoenix Woman said with amusement, observing Ye Hai. "Dr. Ye, are you planning to part ways with your like-minded girlfriend?"
"Oh my, seeing such a beautiful girl, I momentarily forgot about my girlfriend. How could this happen? Why didn't I meet Little Rogue first?"
Ye Hai looked frustrated, but his exaggerated words indicated he was merely joking.
Little Rogue felt a little disappointed. Ye Hai's playful banter had melted much of her cold heart, and she felt a strong attraction to him, the clever young man. She would gladly be his girlfriend; if he truly had that intention, she would not refuse. In this open Western world, she often heard about the concepts of lovers or flings; it was easy for her to accept. Of course, this was all contingent upon her being attracted to him — and in every aspect, Ye Hai seemed to meet her criteria for a partner.
"Little Rogue... Little Rogue…"
The Phoenix Woman called a few times, and Little Rogue finally snapped back to reality, recalling her earlier train of thought, causing her cheeks to flush.
"What's the matter, teacher?" Little Rogue asked, startled.
The Phoenix Woman, ever perceptive, could tell what was going through her mind, and found it amusing. But she merely smiled softly and said, "Dr. Ye wants you to give him a blood sample."
"Oh, okay, okay."
With a smile that was half amusement, the Phoenix Woman made Little Rogue even more flustered. Little Rogue quickly took a plastic syringe and jabbed it into her left arm with too much force, causing her to gasp sharply and nearly shed tears from the pain.
The Phoenix Woman was slightly taken aback, scolding, "Be careful! Don't be so clumsy!"
Using her telekinetic power, the Phoenix Woman controlled the syringe to draw some blood from Little Rogue, and then it floated to Ye Hai's hands.
Ye Hai, once again amazed by the Phoenix Woman's telekinetic abilities, felt envious. After receiving the syringe, he placed it on a testing platform, complete with a fully automated set of testing equipment managed systematically by the intelligent Xuan Nu.
"All set, beautiful girl! I have to get busy now, so you two can leave!" Ye Hai declared as he ushered them out.
As they walked out, Little Rogue mustered her courage and threw Ye Hai a flirty glance, her face burning red as she hurried away.
Seeing her glance, Ye Hai felt quite smug, thinking, "Looks like I still have my charm!"
