Marvel: The Gene Collector

Chapter 41: The Injustice (Edited)

"Charles, how are you?" Alex eagerly embraced Charles, his eyes filled with concern.

"I'm fine! We are exposed! The other party also possesses a telepath!" Charles swiftly reported the dire situation.

"Attack!" With their cover blown, Grete made a swift and resolute decision, ordering an immediate assault.

"Boom!" Assault boats soared into the air, carrying a squad of heavily armed soldiers racing toward the oncoming cruise ship.

"This is the Coast Guard! The ship ahead, stop immediately! Stop the ship now!" The booming voice echoed from the loudspeaker on the assault boat.

On the cruise ship, a mysterious man walked out, conjuring a tornado in his palm and hurling it directly at the approaching guards. In an instant, the tornadoes devastated the assault boats, hurling soldiers into the sea. Ordinary attack methods were futile against the might of a Mutant.

Suddenly, a deafening noise reverberated across the cruise ship. Enormous anchor chains, resembling angry serpents, surged from the water and roared toward the ship, carrying a towering figure.

"Sebastian, our old scores must finally be settled!" Eric's voice resounded as the anchor chain, resembling a colossal python, coiled around the cruise ship with immense force, causing it to groan and twist.

"Eric, you've disappointed me greatly!" A white-clad figure on the cruise ship raised his arm and delivered a powerful blow to the figure standing on the anchor chain.

With a resounding "bang," the coiled anchor chain vibrated violently, sending Eric hurtling away.

"Don't you comprehend my goals? Can't you grasp my ideals? Eric, everything I do is for justice! For the future of Mutants! I fear no challenges!" Sebastian taunted with a sneer.

Alex extended his hand, summoning a massive magnetic storm that enveloped the cruise ship. With an audible "crunch," the once-sturdy vessel crumpled like a ball of clay.

"Alex!" Eric and Sebastian exclaimed in unison, watching in awe.

"Hello, Eric, my old friend! It's been a while," Alex cheerfully greeted as he landed beside Eric. He patted Eric on the shoulder with a wide grin. "I'm genuinely thrilled to see you again."

"Alex, help me defeat Sebastian!" Eric implored, wasting no time. He wielded the anchor chain and swung it fiercely at Sebastian.

"Child, it's been too long. Haven't you recognized the futility of your attacks?" Sebastian scoffed, not a hair out of place even after the anchor chain's impact.

The Ability of Energy Absorption granted Sebastian a remarkable power: the ability to absorb all kinetic energy from attacks, rendering him impervious to harm. As Sebastian 's voice echoed, Alex found himself facing a menacing foe. A red-skinned figure with a devil-like appearance materialized behind Alex, wielding a wickedly sharp knife.

"Dare to attack me?" Alex retorted with a cold smile. In an instant, he spun around and effortlessly seized the knife thrust toward him by the Red Devil.

The Red Devil was left dumbfounded, his strike having failed to even scratch Alex's skin. It was as though he had encountered an impenetrable barrier, leaving him bewildered. With a swift whoosh, the Red Devil vanished, abandoning his weapon and fleeing back to Sebastian.

"Capture them! Alex, Charles, capture them!" a frantic voice barked through the communicator.

"Watch your tone, Miss Grete! I'm not your subordinate; you have no authority to command me," Alex responded icily. The tension escalated as extraordinary powers clashed.

Sebastian found no respite as Eric relentlessly pursued him with an anchor chain, unleashing a barrage of furious strikes. The assault carried an air of vengeance, as if Eric sought to make Sebastian pay for his transgressions.

Attempting to shield Sebastian, the telepath unlished his powers on Eric, seeking to deter him. However, Alex swiftly erected a mental barrier, not only blocking the psychic assault but retaliating with his own formidable psychic abilities. In an instant, the enemy's head shattered like a watermelon, a sight that left Alex both disgusted and oddly satisfied. His rarely used psionic powers proved devastatingly effective.

"Surrender, Sebastian. You stand no chance of victory," Alex declared with a cold resolve.
