Marvel's King Godzilla

Chapter 6: Time Is Limited

At this time, Godzilla dove into the vast sea, his massive and powerful tail propelling him forward with effortless grace.

The ink-black, hardened skin melded seamlessly with the ocean's dark depths. His limbs moved in perfect synchronization, enabling swift, predatory movements. In a single, fluid motion, he tore apart a mutated shark-like creature, scattering its remains into the water.

Godzilla was Luo Chen.

His terrifyingly sharp teeth seemed capable of biting through steel, and his sheer size was awe-inspiring. On land, he stood a towering 50 meters tall. Including his tail, his length reached an astounding 120 meters, marking him as a true leviathan of the sea.

His body was streamlined, lean but immensely powerful, combining the grace of a sea dragon with the might of a wingless terrestrial predator.

Hungry. Hungry. Hungry!

Not enough. Not enough. Not enough! He needed more. Flesh, blood, sustenance. His instincts screamed for it, and Luo Chen gave in, his singular focus now directed at hunting.

The ecosystem in the nearby radiation zone was barren, forcing Luo Chen to venture farther out in search of prey. His insatiable hunger drove him deeper into the ocean.

"Roar~ooooooooooo!!"

The haunting sound reverberated through the waters as Luo Chen detected the presence of a massive creature. With a surge of energy, he darted toward his target, his body cutting through the ocean like a torpedo.

The water churned with violent currents as the prey—a whale-like beast—attempted to flee. But its efforts were futile. Luo Chen's speed and agility overwhelmed it. In mere seconds, he closed the distance and sank his teeth into the creature's neck. A plume of scorching, mist-like flames erupted from his mouth, searing the beast's head instantly.

The lifeless body floated momentarily before Luo Chen tore into it with voracious ferocity. His razor-sharp teeth shredded flesh with ease, and he devoured the meat with primal satisfaction. The surrounding waters turned red with blood, attracting a swarm of sharks. They circled, hoping to scavenge scraps, but Luo Chen made it clear who ruled this domain. Every challenger, no matter how ferocious, became another meal.

As Luo Chen consumed more, his body processed the nutrients with astonishing efficiency. His size increased, his strength amplified, and his appetite grew even more voracious.

Satisfied for the moment, Godzilla retreated to the ocean depths and entered a deep, restorative slumber.

In his sleep, Luo Chen dreamed.

He saw himself as the ancient behemoth Godzilla, a titan that had roamed the Earth long before the extinction of the dinosaurs. In that primordial age, Godzilla thrived, feeding on nuclear energy and preying on massive creatures to sustain itself.

But when the dinosaurs perished, Godzilla retreated into the depths of the ocean, finding solace in the radioactive energy of the seabed. There, it entered a prolonged slumber, biding its time as the world above changed.

The advent of the nuclear age in modern times had triggered its awakening. Yet in this world, Luo Chen realized, he was the only Godzilla—a unique and solitary existence.

The dream shifted, and Luo Chen reflected on his precarious place in this new era. Humanity, with its fear of the unknown, would never accept him. To them, he was a threat, a monster to be eradicated. As a child, had fishermen discovered him, he might have been slaughtered or experimented on, reduced to nothing more than a specimen in a laboratory.

He didn't want that fate. Evolution was his answer, his path to survival.

The dream grew darker, more foreboding. Luo Chen saw the Earth itself, writhing in agony. Humanity, a virus upon the planet, had pushed it to the brink. The Earth called out to him, urging him to "save" it. He was not alone—whenever the planet faced an existential crisis, its ancient guardians would awaken.

In his dream, Luo Chen saw them: titans as grand and fearsome as himself. Giant butterflies emerging from cocoons, volcanic birds wreathed in flames, serpentine beasts with tails as long as rivers. And then, the most terrifying of them all—a three-headed dragon, its presence radiating malevolence and power.

A sense of urgency gripped Luo Chen. Time was running out. The world was on the precipice of disaster, and he needed to prepare. To survive, he couldn't just be a monster; he had to ascend beyond that.

He had to become the King of Monsters.
