ALL NOVEL Chapter 31: 8+2
Recruiting girls wasn’t as simple as I thought.
No girl would openly volunteer for a new company just because the pay was good. Female adventurers and women in general were cautious of things that seemed a bit too good to be true, because for more times than not, they were. So despite advertising good working conditions and a good pay, only two girls showed up, whom we promptly hired.
However, now came the problem.
“We need at least five more to run the place,” Zina said. “In time we can cut our staff and fully trust the newbies but for now we should leave behind at least five of our own and keep regular contact.”
“I can do that, as long as I connect myself to the dungeon here.”
Apparently, there was a mini dungeon with two floors just inside the city. But since it was so fragile, adventurers weren’t allowed to go in there. You’d think the country and local lords would be thrilled to find adventurers risking their lives to finish off dungeons within their cities and make the lives of local people safe and all that. But nope, a dungeon meant profit. And no one was stupid enough to turn down profit just for a bit of security.
“Then we use your ability, I suppose?” Sen said.
We were having lunch in an inn. I’d bought out the whole place for us today. All rooms and the eatery. We were still short of two rooms, so the girls had to share some double rooms with additional roommates.
Our hired help was in the far west corner, chatting with some other girls.
“No, let’s just lower our standards. I’m sure we’ll have plenty more applicants if we halve the pay and double the workload.”
“Double- they’ll basically be working from dawn to dusk for half the pay!” Sen argued.
“Exactly and they’ll gladly do it,” I shrugged.
“No one will be stupid enough. Even I’m not and I’m…” she paused, turning red.
Anyway, we made arrangements with the guild to post our advertisement all over the city and waited a day.
No, we didn’t have to wait a day.
By evening we already had eight applicants.
And they all came to our little Inn, just in time for dinner.
“See what I mean?” I said.
The people who came here were a little suspicious. Burly women with rather mischievous grins and little clothing; warriors. The type that would rob you in daylight… these people weren’t going to rob us though… yet.
“You’re hiring?” The leader glared. “Where’s the money? We demand advance pay-”
I suppose I have to use this regardless. Mindfuck!
“Ahh!” All but two girls fell on her knees. Two even wetted the floor.
And the other two? They were just staring at my face, all red. “What was that?” One of them managed.
“Insurance. Betray me, and you won’t ever get a taste of that again.”
“Betray you? We came here looking for a job. And yet…” the leader of the pack- “And yet you subject us to this… this shame.” She proceeded to start crying.
All of them were crying actually.
Apparently, they were sisters and just looked mean but weren’t? They looked horrible and that’s why people treated them horribly and kind of why they were going from city to city to search for decent jobs and…
Ah…
Oh boy.
I might or might not have fucked up a bit there. I got impatient, careless and above all… I jumped to conclusions.

“You know,” Sen said, patting my shoulder. “Maybe I wasn’t the stupidest in our group after all.”
Mindbreak… with tentacles…. I stared at her… and before long she too fell on the ground, writhing, wetting herself with a bit of ecstasy on her face. I didn’t even use mindfuck, what the fuck?
Miss perverted fluffy fluffpants aside, I had to do something about the crying girls. “Alright, alright, since I did that to you, I’ll double your payment and halve your working quota, what do you say?”
Originally that was the stuff I’d posted about anyway. But people were too cautious.

“I give this special treatment to all my employees once a week. I apologize I jumped to conclusions but… will you work for me?”

So yeah, we got 8+2 more employees of the company. I should probably come up with a name too.
So writing two stories and trying to upload daily wasn't a very good idea. (plus the fact that I'm also writing the final vol of Queen and some other stuff I plan to upload makes it extra hard.)
I'd managed to do just fine for the last three weeks but now my body has reached its limit. My left hand is basically dead and needs some rest.
Updates will be really slow for the next few weeks. Maybe 2-3 chapters a week. Uni starts at the end of May, so I'll be busy cause of that too. Wanted to start patreon but considering I can't upload daily and keep a decent uploading schedule, I've decided against it. (Besides, I can't write much now anyway so it'll be insincere to you guys)
