Chapter 24: Chapter 22 The Day of the Hero Exam
After All Might took Midoriya Izuku to heal his injuries, Akira decided to take a break from training for the rest of the day. Tomorrow's entrance exam was not something that concerned him—it felt more like a formality.
Sitting on a rock by the sea, Akira gazed at the horizon and sighed. "Unconsciously, it's been almost a year since I came to this world," he murmured.
A year ago, he had been an ordinary salaryman, stuck in a monotonous cycle of waking up early, working long hours, and returning home late—repeating this pattern almost every single day. His life had been devoid of excitement, like a mummy sealed away in the tomb of routine.
"Maybe... in this world, my childhood dream of dominating everything can actually come true?" Akira chuckled to himself.
Later that evening, Akira returned home to find his parents had also come back early and were preparing a sumptuous dinner.
"How's the office doing today?" Akira asked casually.
His mother responded as she set the table, "The office is fine, though your father and I managed to get a rare day off."
Kitagawa Yuta, his father, turned to Akira with a curious smile. "So, are you confident about tomorrow's entrance exam at U.A.?"
Akira shrugged. "If nothing unexpected happens, I think I should be fine."
Yuta nodded. "Good, good. After all, you're All Might's apprentice. If you can't even pass this, not only will it be embarrassing for you, but it'll also reflect poorly on All Might."
Akira frowned. Ever since he had taken on the title of All Might's disciple, every conversation with his parents seemed to revolve around it. Still, he appreciated their support, even if they occasionally went overboard.
After dinner, Yuta suggested some light training, but Akira declined. Tonight, he just wanted to relax and prepare mentally for tomorrow.

The next morning, Akira bumped into Midoriya Izuku on the way to U.A.
"Your arm seems fine now," Akira noted, glancing at Midoriya's healed limb.
Midoriya grinned nervously. "Yeah, it's mostly healed. How about you? Confident for today's test?"
"Huh? Me? Absolutely. But you seem a bit unsure," Akira said, raising an eyebrow.
Midoriya scratched the back of his head, laughing awkwardly. "I mean, I've been practicing, but it's still nerve-wracking."
Akira chuckled. "Don't overthink it. You've come a long way in five months. You're much stronger now than in the past. Just trust yourself."
Encouraged by Akira's words, Midoriya's nervous smile softened into one of determination.

When they arrived at the gates of U.A., both of them paused to take in the imposing sight of the prestigious high school.
Their moment of admiration was interrupted by an impatient voice from behind.
"Move it, extras!"
Turning around, they saw Bakugo Katsuki approaching with his usual swagger, hands stuffed in his pockets.
"Kacchan?" Midoriya said, surprised.
Bakugo scowled. "Don't block my way, or I'll blow you up."
Unlike his old self, Midoriya wasn't fazed by Bakugo's threat. He simply stepped aside and said with a calm smile, "Sorry, Kacchan."
Bakugo froze for a moment, surprised by Midoriya's lack of fear. His eyes then landed on Akira.
"All Might's apprentice?" Bakugo sneered. "Kitagawa Akira, huh?"
The murmurs around them grew louder.
"Wow, it's really All Might's apprentice!"
"Why is he even here? Doesn't he already work with All Might?"
"I heard he single-handedly took down a gang during that building incident!"
Akira ignored the chatter, but Bakugo's face darkened when he overheard quieter remarks about himself.
"Isn't that Bakugo Katsuki? The kid from the sludge villain incident?"
"Yeah, the victim. Didn't All Might save him?"
Veins popped on Bakugo's forehead as he spun around and shouted, "You two idiots! Want me to blow you to pieces?"
The two students scrambled away in fear, leaving Bakugo grumbling angrily. He turned back to Akira, gave him a glare, and stomped inside.
"Bakugo Katsuki," Midoriya said with a nervous laugh. "He's from my middle school. His temper can be a bit… intense, but deep down, he's not a bad person."
Akira smirked. "Oh, I know all about him."
Midoriya tilted his head, confused by Akira's cryptic tone.
"Let's head inside," Akira said, taking the lead.
As they walked into the U.A. campus, the towering gates seemed to symbolize the challenges and opportunities that awaited them.

With the entrance exam about to begin, the excitement and tension were palpable in the air. Little did they know that this day would mark the start of their journey toward becoming heroes who would one day change the world.
