As dawn stretched over the skyline, its rays peered through the window of my bedroom and unfortunately woke me to a sore arm and a highly dangerous rabbit, one leg wrapped around my waist and the other tightly knitted around my legs.

A trap of inescapable proportions; like hell, give me a hit contract on All Might himself and I'd still have a better shot than escaping this.

I groaned as I activated another quirk of mine, specifically, a body substation quirk, able to allow the user to swap places with something of equal mass.

Not long after I activated this, I was swapped with the very body pillow I had swapped with last night, however, I was in for a rude awakening when I found myself stuffed under the bed, its open space tho clean still smelled of sweat; I would be damned if I didn't reconcile this later.

Sliding out into the room, I stood before dusting myself off, however, my streak of bad luck seemed to stick, as the very deadly legs of the rabbit hero had found themselves a comfy spot wrapped around my neck.

I was forced to grab her thighs in an attempt to balance out the extra height, and while effective, it also chided a comment from the hero.

"Bit bold today aren't we?" I could hear her say with a voice full of insufferable taunting.

"If by bold you mean someone with common sense, then yes, I'd be considered the boldest man on this god-forsaken rock," I said with a bit of worry and joy; my bed partners never really stuck around past the first part.

She seemed to find my answer funny as she chuckled while doing the one thing I was worried about. Her legs tightened and my access to air was almost completely cut.

"It seems the pretty bastard has a counter remark for everything huh?" I could feel the egoist in her starting to sprout.

For my safety, I thought it best to keep my smart remarks to myself, lest I end up like Mr. Snow; I shivered as I remembered watching the guy's head roll.

The lack of air was really starting to get me, so I did the only thing I could do; I started tapping her stone thighs while trying to say, Uncle. Luckily, this seemed to satisfy her ego enough to let up on the grip and in turn let air return to me.

Now able to somewhat speak coherently, I couldn't stop the question that was burning on the edge of my mind from being said "Why are you still here?"

She didn't say anything at first, but after a few seconds of silence, she answered, "Well isn't that a question pretty bastard, you know, considering you're the reason I'm here in the first place." She said her snarky attitude still in full effect.

I groaned at the dodge, "That much is obvious; I mean, why are you still here when you've had numerous opportunities to either run or just straight up kill me?"

She paused her swaying at my further questioning before eventually answering that one too, "Yo, get off my ass already; traveling to every other city every day isn't the most fun you know."

I wanted to chuckle at the first part of the sentence, in hopefulness or irony I had no clue; more importantly, I poked at the last bit of her answer whilst making my way to the kitchen, "So, you're treating a kidnapping as a vacation?"

She snickered and started patting my head like a dog, "Well, isn't this boy just the smartest."

"Please stop that," I beckoned while getting out some food items; it was a pancake day, and really the only redeeming part of this day's beginning.

She ignored me in favor of hopping off, my relief palpable.

"Ya ya whatever; say where's your bathroom?"

I gave up, "Down the hall on the right; shouldn't be too far from the laundry room."

She grinned before making her way over, an oddly happy pep in her step; I paid that no heed and continued making pancakes; if she was going to be staying for the foreseeable future, then I might as well be a good host.

"Wait," I looked back in the direction of the hero, "I'm either tripping balls or she had a pair of my dress pants on."

I sighed, "Just ignore it; don't dig too deep."

Nezu/Nezu

"Well, I'd say this has been an eventful time; wouldn't you agree Mr. Hawks?"

The third highest-ranked hero just smiled that plastic smile they seemed to love so much, "Indeed Princiable Nezu, I'd say this has to be the most eventful thing I've done all week; but I really have to get going now; number three comes with a lot of responsibility you know."

My grin never faulted, even as I took a sip of my fresh tea, "Right then; I'll send you the packet through the mail, so this upcoming entrance exam should be the time it's delivered."

Never dropping his smile, Hawks nodded, "Sounds good, I'll send you a text through the echo net when it arrives so we can speak on it in more depth. Have a nice day."

At the end of that conversation, the third-highest-ranked hero left through the open window to my right, leaving nothing but a feather behind, which I promptly grabbed and set ablaze; I was very aware of his connections to the Hero Public Safty Commission, and I was also aware of the report he's going to make to them about this conversation.

Being able to feel vibrations through his feathers, and also being able to make out what was being said through the vibrations really made for an inconspicuous listening device.

After disposing of the ash, I opened the door with a button under my desk.

Smiling a genuine smile, I beckoned the tired-looking boy over, "Aizawa, what brings you here?"

As per usual, my favorite student ignored the pleasantry and went straight to the point, "I want your help looking for something."

My grin brightened just a bit at the plea for help; it was always a treat when even Aizawa needed help.

"Right, what does one of the best detectives in Japan need help with?" I asked in a taunting manner.

He just sighed and ignored the taunt, "A villain, or at least I think he's a villain."

Sipping my tea, I questioned, "Name?"

I shook his head.

 "Description?" I asked again.

"Also nothing," he responded.

Setting my tea down for a moment, I thought up something else, "What about their quirk?"

I could tell Aizawa was hesitant, so I questioned, "Aizawa?"

My call seemed to snap him out of whatever daydream he was in as he was quick to nod, "Yes, but also no."

I raised a brow at this, "What do you mean?"

"Well, I have a sneaking suspicion his quirk has something to do with darkness, or at least shadow, but at the same time it was kind of hard to tell when everything I saw was pitch-black."

I hummed in understanding, a quirk that manipulated darkness, or at the very least made it... that's when something clicked, "Say, this darkness you're trying to describe; was it by chance like a fog?"

 He nodded, "It was."

I couldn't help but grin at my genius. After clicking a few buttons on the computer, I had the screen set to a specific file, before turning it to Aizawa, "Right; this is your likely culprit."

It was enjoyable to watch the shocked expression appear on Aizawa's face, and even more so when he spoke.

 "You can't be serious Nezu."

 "Dead," I said with certainty.

It was fun watching Aizawa rub his temples in frustration, as it wasn't a sight one would see often.

My thoughts were interrupted when Aizawa turned to leave.

Smiling, I waved, "I hope your day gets better my favorite pupil."

A hum of confirmation was all I got in return.

"Oh chaos, what a lovely partner in crime you are."

Dodging a kick that would send me to the All-Father, a sudden chill ran up my spine and caused me to lose focus; this was a mistake almost fatal as an elbow with too much power plunged itself into my gut, leaving me wheezing on the ground while being bombarded by Miriko about proper defense.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

 Shigaraki/Tenko

"Korogiri, get me a new controller," I said with absolute; it was non-negotiable.

Sighing, Korogiri spoke while cleaning a shot glass, "Young master Tomura, this is the 8th controller this week that you've dusted."

 I scoffed, "And?"

"... Very well young master, I'll procure a new controller."

I scoffed again, "Don't say it like you have a choice; you listen to me and do whatever I say when I say, got it."

 "Apologies young master..."

With one last hard glare, I shooed him away; I needed that controller to play the new fps that came out.

As Kurogiri left to do what he was told, I found the only thing to do was watch the damn TV; reaching over the bar counter, I clicked a button hidden under the counter, its wiring attached to the on and off button for the previously mentioned TV.

Clicking it, I heard the buzz of a TV pop to life behind me.

Retracting my hand carefully, I sat on the bar stool slouched while watching the latest news, its contents barely enough to retain my attention; that was until I heard something related to the top ten.

My once-fading attention was immediately caught and I listened with both rage and curiosity; I hated heroes with every fiber of my being, and the possibility of one of them being hurt or dead brought nothing but joy to my withered heart.

And boy did they deliver, as they had announced the possible death of the 5th highest ranked hero, the Rabbit Hero, Miriko, and with the statement was a video of her engaging some random green-haired bastard dressed in a suit too fancy for my taste.

But the guy grew on me when I saw him shove what looked to be darts into the bitches neck, and I'd like to believe those darts were full of poison, and I had just watched her keel over dead.

It brought a sadistic smile to my face while watching the injured guy throw her body over his shoulder and drive off after shoving her body in the back; I hope he burns it and leaves it out in the open for all to see.

I hadn't noticed when Kurogiri got back, nor did I notice the warm blood flowing down my neck as I scratched; it all fell deaf ears as I fantasized about being in the guy's place, except instead of the rabbit hero, it was All MIght, his limbs turned to dust and his eyes watery as he begged me for his life, but instead of killing him immediately, I make him watch as I turn everything he held dear into a bloody pile of dust; only then, will I grant him an agonizing death.

My beautiful daydream was interrupted when Kurogiri grasped my hand, leaving me to realize I had dug into my throat while in my state of bliss; I didn't care though, as Master had given me a regeneration quirk a while ago.

Glaring murderous daggers at the misty nomu, I snarled, "Touch me again and I'll dust you."

Kurogiri stayed silent while I turned my glare back to the TV, it's being immediately melted away when I saw the info they had on the guy.

 "Nothing?"

I thought of it for a moment, "... Kurogiri, call Giran; I think I found the first member to join the league."

Shigaraki didn't know it at the time nor would he ever, but the lone TV full of static, held the face of his master, All For One, grinning ear to ear.

Endeavor/Enji

I sighed while looking through the countless stacks of paperwork Rumi left behind, including all the missed reports she hadn't filled out after her destructive fights with literally anyone she fought.

I wish I could say it wasn't her fault, but for god sake, she used a bus as a ball, kicking it into buildings and a few crowds; it was safe to say she was just behind me in fatalities on the job and rapidly closing the distance with every passing year.

It's a wonder she wasn't kicked from the job years ago, but I could attest that to her fans being mostly made up of rich snobs who pay millions to keep her active, matter of fact, aside from personal matters with the hero drawing me to this case, I was offered over 2.6 billion to find the rabbit hero; which while a lot, basically just added to my already insane wealth; so this was mostly for the personal part.

Sighing, I walked over to the empty desk and started going through the paperwork, finding that yes; it was all about city damages and property owners trying to bring her to court; as impossible as that may be.

I could hardly get her to meetings on upcoming raids, like hell you'd get her to come to a courthouse.

Ignoring the paperwork, I left the office to continue what I was originally doing, interviewing her secretary Ko.

However, it was hard to do so when she had locked herself in a room after the disappearance of Rumi, probably because she'd seen the rumors about the rabbit hero being dead; killed when the darts in the attacker's hands were shoved into her neck.

But if one were to look closer at the darts then they'd realize they were tranqs and not a deadly poison; however, no matter how many times I tried to relay this to the woman, she'd always just ignore my words.

It was quite annoying, and also why I'm currently speaking to someone more level-headed.

"So, you're saying you want my help?" came the insistent voice of Hawk's; his voice full of anticipation.

Grunting in metaphorical agony, I repeated, "Yes Hawks, I need your help with this case."

At my repeated plea, I watched as his face lit up just a bit more.

"Right, so what do you need help with?" He chirped with a voice full of enthusiasm and excitement.

Ignoring his infectious attitude, I continued, "All you need to do is be my eyes and ears in the sky; and if you're able, find where those tire tracks lead, or at least a general direction of them; we can move forward from there."

Hawks nodded along like an enthusiastic child, before eventually speaking himself, "Doesn't seem too hard; anything else?"

Thinking on it for a moment, I shook my head, "Not to my knowledge, no."

With that last line, Hawks smiled, "Right then, it's been a pleasure speaking with you Endeavor-san, but I think there's work to do."

With his piece said, he flew off into the distance, using his exceptional eyesight to follow the burnt rubber left by the kidnapper's car.

Sighing, I was about to take my leave as well, when one of the investigators ran up to me.

Looking down at him, I questioned, "Need something?"

He shook his head, "No sir, I'm just curious about something."

Raising a brow, I continued, "And that would be?"

He fidgeted for a second before speaking, "Sir, not to be rude, but why are you on this case? You aren't usually one to care about other heroes?"

Thinking about it, there were plenty of reasons I could come up with, all ranging from the need to capture and contain the villain who was able to take out Miriko, to just doing it out of refusal to lose someone in the top five; yet neither seemed to satisfy me, so I went with the one that mattered the most to me.

"Isn't it normal for a father to protect his daughter?"

Following the wake of Miriko's disappearance, another shocking truth revealed itself that day and the entirety of Japan would know of it.
