Not long Before The Duo's Hectic Encounter
Overhaul/Chisaki
Walking down the bone-white halls, I pondered today's meeting and the direction it was dragging the Yakuza, a group I considered family.
The Boss had announced the possible disbanding of it during the meeting earlier, and to say I was indifferent would be an insult; I was nothing short of livid, but I kept my temper in check so as not to alert the Boss.
I loved and respected the man, but the way things were going now, the Ykaza wouldn't be around much longer, and that was something I refused to accept; yet every time I offered a method of bringing the group back from the edge, he would always question the morals or ethics of them, leading right back to where I started.
It was tiring.
However, today had some promise, as I was personally called by the Boss, his reason being he wanted to speak to me; I was hoping that the talk would end with him accepting one of my many proposals, or at least working with me to find a common ground that he would take.
Yet even with all the possibilities at hand, one I did not account for was meeting a small girl with phosphorous-like hair and a horn protruding from her forehead.
Speaking from his hospital bed, The Boss called out, "Chisaki, glad you could make it."
Still eyeing the girl with confusion, I called back, "Wouldn't dare Boss."
I heard him chuckle before continuing, "I see you've taken an interest in the young lass."
Shaking my head, I pulled my eyes away from the child and focused them on the boss, "Less of an interest and more of a bout of confusion; why's she here Boss?"
His kind eyes turned somewhat pitying, "Well Chisaki, if I were to put it bluntly, her parents are dead and I took her in; she's the latest Yakuza member if you want to see it as such."
The news was... underwhelming at most; there were many people with dead parents, so I wasn't going to go around pitting someone because of it, but something about how he said it made it sound like there was more to the story than he was leading me to believe, and I was going to point that out.
"What happened?"
The Boss looked at the girl for a moment before gesturing me over with a worn face.
"Bluntly speaking, she killed her parents."
That was a turn, but I could tell it wasn't all.
He continued, "And Bluntly speaking, her parents tried to kill her."
When all was fully said, my blood boiled, and I started wondering if it was plausible to bring them back so I could kill them again; there was a limit to most criminal organizations, and ours drew the line at Kids and Rape, kill or do either and you'll be subjugated to the worst possible torture by yours truly; and death wasn't an option.
I was pulled from my wrath when The Boss placed his hand on my shoulder, "Chisaki, I know this is a lot to ask, but please, look after her; she's been through too much already, and I'm sure an orphanage isn't going to make that any better."
Looking at the girl, I sighed, "There's no need to guilt trip me, Old man, especially when I already have her papers."
I could hear him laughing, but I was dead serious; I was going to kill for her adoption papers if needed.
"Now, now Chisaki; the papers are already here," he said while holding up a stack of papers he had gotten from god knows where.
Observing the papers for a moment, I eventually came around to grab them with my gloved hands, before folding and sticking them in my pocket; something I'd fill out at a later date.
Turning, I made my way over to the young girl, her face downcast as she sat motionless on the bed.
Crouching, I fell to her eye level, where my golden eyes met the almost dead rubies she bore.
Thinking of something, I spoke, "Wanna hear a story?"
She made no move to respond, but I could see her pupils dilate ever so slightly, so I knew she was listening.
Knowing that I continued, "Once upon a time, there was a boy, his age reaching not far from yours; this boy had a dream, a dream to one day cure every known ailment or disease, and this boy knew how hard it would be to do so, but despite the impossibility of the task, he didn't give in, he fought, and raged; constantly battling those who would belittle his dream; those who would make it their life's mission to put him down in any way they could; to shackle him down and make him burn in the cesspit they themselves were in. Eventually, they succeded, and ripped his life and dream to shreds; leaving only a husk of what used to be behind," I paused, "But despite his dream being lost to the masses, a single calm and reassuring hand rose out from the chaos, and pulled the boy back from the brink. It was that life-defining day that gave the boy something to live for; it gave him a new dream..."
I stopped the story there and looked back into the rubies I had lost track of some time during the story, and while they were still dead as one could be, there was something there now; curiosity is what it looked like.
My hunch was right when she spoke, "Why is the story so dark?"
I grinned under my face mask while trying to be just as expressive with my eyes, "It is isn't it?"
She broke eye contact and spoke, "You're weird."
Seeing the opportunity of a lifetime, I replied, "Actually, my name is Kai Chisaki."
I knew progress had been made when she spoke again, "Eri... my name is Eri."
My grin never faltered as I continued, "Well, Eri; I hope we'll become as close as one could be while in the Shie Hassaikai."
I could hear The Boss snicker behind me when I said that.
But my attention was quickly drawn back to the girl as she questioned, "The Shie Hiki?"
I chuckled at the pronunciation, "Don't worry, you'll learn how to say it in due time; for now, why don't we go celebrate your honorary membership?"
"Honery Mender?" She fumbled again.
Chuckling again, I spoke, "Baby steps."
I had a feeling that today would be cemented in her memory as one of the most confusing and terrifying days she'd ever come to know, and even then, I hoped to bury it with nothing but happiness; just as mine was.

Two Days Before The Duo's Encounter
Overhaul/Chisaki
It was supposed to be a normal day today, a day where I get up, check on Eri, take a scolding bath, and then leave the compound for business purposes; but everything was thrown off the rails when I was awoken by the sound of shouts coming from the halls of my underground compound.
Dressing in a pair of pants, I left my room to find Eri also wide awake, somewhat shaky as she huddled as deep into the sofa as she could, trying her damndest to block out the racket.
Quickly making my way over, I wasn't surprised when she latched onto me like a scared puppy, her eyes starting to pull tears.
Wrapping her in a hug, I did my best to comfort her while using my other hand to touch one of the cushions. The cushion quickly dematerialized and re-materialized as a pair of headphones, specifically noise-cancelling headphones.
Putting them over her ears, it wasn't long before her small form fell limp into sleep, and after such, I made my way over to her room and tucked her in before leaving to deal with whatever was going on outside.
With anger, I kicked my door open to find most of the Shei Hassaikai stumbling over each other like idiots, each trying to get to what I assumed to be the exit; it was tough to tell when it was stuck full of bodies; unfortunately alive.
Reaching out, I pulled one of the idiots from the crowd before questioning with thinning patients, "You better give me a good goddamn reason why your lot is making so much noise because if not, I'll make you an ornament on my wall."
The threat was a bit overboard, but I was pissed and didn't care; fortunately, the man I questioned didn't care either as he was quick to speak, "Chisaki? Chisaki! Quick, you have to get to the boss! He needs help!"
I barely let him finish as I blitzed past the crowd, using my quirk to tunnel around the clog. The way the man was panicking, and the way he spoke about the boss; everything painted a picture I wasn't happy about.
Bolting down the oddly empty halls, I didn't stop to ponder the lack of men instead focusing on getting to the boss's hospital room.
However, when I did get there, my question about the missing men was answered in the form of mangled bodies, each looking to have been torn to shreds, by some wild beast.
My heart sank to my stomach as I realized we had been attacked, and even more so when I entered the room, my rage palpable at the sight of the boss's headless body.
However, my rage doubled when I saw the bloodied form of the one who did this, his wolflike body bearing winged forearms and the feet of an Eagle.
My rage-filled eyes recognized him, "Chimera!"
At my call the beastlike bastard turned, its maw covered with blood, further boiling my blood.
Not a second passed when we locked eyes before launching at each other.
I didn't care if the bastard was physically stronger or a top-ranked villain, I was going to make sure I ripped him apart.
Ducking under his swing, I reached for anything apart of him, as a small graze would end this clash in seconds; however, he wasn't going to make it that easy as I was sent flying by a snakelike tail that sprouted from his spines epicenter; most definitely losing a few ribs from its strike.
Flying through the air, I eventually forced my legs to bury themselves in the concrete pathway making up most of the compound, before using them and my arms to launch myself forward like a bullet.
I was met halfway by the bastard, yet even when his fist was flat across my jaw, I kept my gaze forward, intent on watching as he turned to nothing but meat chunks.
Yet just as I grazed his arm, something seemed to kick in his head before he cut off the arm I touched.
Catching myself on the concrete again, I fixed my broken ribs and missing jaw, before continuing to launch myself at him, but this time using the environment to my advantage.
While gliding through the air, I let my palm slide across the concrete, both tearing off my skin and creating hundreds of stone pillars that I shot up into the air as high as I could make them go without losing connection.
The bastard wasn't going to just sit back and let me do what I wanted though, as he had used his superior speed, to blitz past me, however, I had a feeling he was aiming for me but was thrown off by the lack of an arm.
Landing on the concrete, I pushed off and launched myself into the air; using the connection I still had to the pillars to throw them all down at his point of interest, yet even when I saw every single one hit with mind-numbing accuracy, I knew he wasn't done.
And I was right because as soon as I fell back down to ground level, his mass was on me like a rabid dog, and I was once again sent flying by a brutal kick that most definitely shattered most of my ribcage.
I wasn't able to stick the landing this time as I was sent straight into the compound wall, my back creating a spiderlike crater on impact.
However, rage dictated that I get up, so after fixing myself again, I fell from the crater and continued on.
Before he could blitz me again, my hands slammed into the ground with a force of earth-shattering proportions, and I forced the entirety of the two-mile compound to turn into a fine sand that stretched nearly a quarter of a mile deep.
Ripping my hands out of the new sandy environment, I launched myself forward again, doing the same as last time and forcing patches of sand to reform into pillars, their structure having been forced to glass.
I watched with satisfaction as the bastard tried to blitz me, but fell flat under the sand grains shifting under his weight and force.
Not wasting any time, I capitalized on his fall and launched every pillar of glass I created at him, but I wouldn't let them hit, instead, forcing them to collide together to create subsonic glass shard barrages.
Uncaring of being caught in the crossfire of my own attack, I continued my path toward the downed bastard while he tried to push himself up to no avail.
As I reached touching distance, the tail of his struck again, sinking its fangs into my shoulder and biting with a force far greater than any I've ever had the displeasure of experiencing; however, this was his end.
Smiling viciously at him, I watched with pleasure as his beast-like eyes drew fear and my hand made contact with his tail.
One second he was a ravenous beast struggling to get free of the pit he put himself in, and the next, he was nothing but a pool of blood and chucks sinking further into the sands that would become his coffin.
Standing there for a moment, the adrenaline and rage that kept me going eventually wore off, and I was left on the ground exhausted and hurt, but it wasn't long before I curled my palm and patched up any injury I obtained from the beast's last struggle and the barrage of glass; I was sure to force those small shards out of my body, lest they became a problem later on.
So now, I was just exhausted, and that was evident by my rapidly fading vision; it wasn't long before consciousness left me; my exhausted body was left on the sand's surface waiting to be found by whoever showed up to the carnage first, and I could only prey I woke up in one of the group's safehouse's, and not a jail cell.

All For One
I watched with Glee as Chimera ravaged the Shei Hassaikai's compound, ripping and tearing anything that moved into small unrecognizable chunks.
However, while I expected this to be a swift eradication of the group, it took me by surprise when I saw what I assumed to be a member bolting own the halls, before eventually coming into conflict with Chimera.
When the fight first started, I expected the man to be killed like any other, but the fight I once had no interest in became interesting when Chimera lost an arm; even more so when I saw how the man kept getting up even after a blow from a villain like Chimera.
He was rebuilding himself.
When all was over, Chimera was nothing more than a splatter of blood in the sand.
I had wanted to remove the group from this upcoming war of chaos, but the man who beat the beast had me thinking something else, "Eradication... No..." I laughed manically as I watched the man with one of my many quirks collapse to the ground.
"Why would I let a perfect contender like him fall so early in the planning stages? No, the game needs some more spice, wouldn't you say Nezu?"

'Chaos rules this war' and what better way to stir up more chaos than to add a new contender?
The Shei Hassaikai joins the war, and Overhaul is set loose into the world of heroes and villains alike.
