Chapter 32: clay

"I heard that Busujima's always honor their word and never break their promise," I said, studying Saeko closely.

Her eyes narrowed, as though she was trying to figure out what I meant. "What do you mean?" she asked, her voice a mix of curiosity and suspicion.

"Only this do you follow the same trait?" I asked, though I already knew the answer.

Saeko's expression softened just a fraction. "Yes, I will."

After reading her memories, I found it was part of her way of trying to integrate into her family. I don't remember about anime , but here, her father wasn't truly bonded with her.

In fact, he didn't like having a daughter at all.

Maybe it was because of her mother's death, or maybe it was just his own bitterness, but he didn't show any love for Saeko. He treated her like a tool, something to uphold his name, but not someone he cared for.

Even though Saeko could easily defeat the students of his club, which he had founded, her father never acknowledged her skill. In fact, he resented her for it.

When Saeko had nearly killed someone in self-defense, he didn't offer a single word of support. No comfort. No protection.

I didn't judge him. I didn't care about his reasons for neglecting her.

She is my target.

Saeko had long since accepted that her father's coldness was a part of her life. She had turned her humor into a coping mechanism, trying to find any connection with her family, any reason to feel like she belonged.

But in the end, she had no one. No one who truly cared for her, not even her father.

Perhaps that was why she fell for others so easily in various fanfictions. But then again, it seemed like everyone did in those worlds.

"Show me what you've got," I said, inviting her to make the first move.

Without hesitation, she closed the distance, aiming for my head. Was she trying to knock me out?

Her attempt was swift, but ultimately failed.

I dodged her strike effortlessly, then countered with a punch that sent her sprawling.

"That's it," I said, breaking her pride without hesitation.

Ignoring the pain, she pushed herself up, using her sword for support.

"How fast is he?" Saeko thought, her disbelief clear in her eyes as she tried to process how easily I had dodged and countered.

"Want to try again?" I offered, giving her another chance.

She was like clay. I needed to break her first, then mold her in my image.

She tried multiple times, but failed each time.

Once more, she attacked, this time aiming for my stomach. But I caught her strike with ease.

Before she could react, I blocked her attempt to kick me, grabbing her leg and holding it firmly.

With a swift push of my sword, I shoved it back, landing a blow to her stomach. Then, I released her leg, allowing her to fall to the ground.

"Is this the best a national champion can do?" I mocked her.

Ignoring my words, Saeko asked, "Who are you?"

"Your reactions are too fast. You could have killed me easily, but didn't. Tell me, who are you?"

"Even he can't defeat me in one move," she thought, her mind racing, searching for answers while trying to stand up.

I stood still, contemplating the best move. Should I reveal myself now or later? Well, now seemed best.

I released the transformation, changing back to my normal form. I removed my mask.

"Hatake Kakashi," I stated.

Saeko's POV:

"Hatake Kakashi," the child no, the creature had spoken.

How did he change? Which one is real?

"Who are you?" I asked again, my grip tightening on my katana.

Is he some sort of alien? No, that's not possible. What would aliens want with me?

"Hatake Kakashi," he said again.

I clenched my katana tighter. "I am asking, are you human?"

"Hmmm," he put a hand to his temple and closed his eyes.

Is he thinking? Does he even know, or is he mocking me?

"Well, you could say that," he finally responded. "Though I know someone whose ancestors were born when a human... well, you could say an alien had relations with a human. At least, that's what I know. I think my ancestors are pure human."

What is he talking about? Is he joking? But his eyes don't look like he's joking.

"How did you change yourself? And why now become a child?" I asked, my mind racing, trying to understand.

He seemed to think for a moment before answering, "Oh, that's because I know how to use chakra. It's what allowed me to transform into an adult. You know, since I'm 6, my chakra is limited."

"No, I don't know," I wanted to say, but I focused on other things.

"Chakra?" I repeated. "What is that?"

"Oh, you know, like mana in anime. Have you watched anime before?"

"Yes" I did watch some.

"Bingo, similarly, chakra is another form of energy. I didn't know you were a fan of anime."

"Tell me, do you watch hentai?" he asked suddenly.

I froze, staring at him in shock. "No," I answered immediately, confused.

What is he asking about ?

"You said you're 6?" I asked, narrowing my eyes.

"Yes, 6 is the same 6, you know about 6," he replied with a grin, as if that explained anything.

What was I even supposed to say to that?

"Why does nobody know about you? Are there many of you?" I asked, though I felt I already knew the answer to the latter maybe even the former.

"Oh, that," he said, tilting his head thoughtfully. "Hmm, instead of explaining, let me show you why."

"Show me?" I echoed, skeptical. "What are you going to do? Play a video?"

Before I could process his response, the world around me shifted. One moment I was standing in my modern room, and the next, I found myself in the middle of a rustic village.

Looking up, I froze. Three massive faces were carved into a mountain overlooking the village, their expressions regal and imposing.

"Let's start," I heard his voice echo, though I couldn't see him.
