Chapter 28: Inner-Blade Crescent Sword
Senju Hashirama nodded and said, "I think so too. Under our guidance, he will surely become an excellent Hokage."
Senju Tobirama replied calmly, "Then there's only one issue left—his dream isn't to become Hokage."
Indeed, Yamamoto Ryusei's ambition was not to be Hokage but to become the strongest ninja in the world. How could he have enough time to train if he were tied down by the duties of the Hokage?
Hashirama pondered this and said, "Then we need to find a way to help him achieve both. There's no conflict between being Hokage and striving to be the strongest ninja."
Tobirama nodded. "In that case, let's have them graduate next year. Staying in the Academy won't teach them much more anyway. We can start training them as apprentices and involve them in village affairs."
Tobirama picked up a scroll from his desk and handed it to Hashirama. "This is a letter from the Tsuchikage. Their delegation will arrive in a month. Don't forget about it. Also, that stack of documents on your desk is due today."
Hashirama glanced at the mountain of paperwork on his table and groaned. His enthusiasm plummeted.
Meanwhile, Uchiha Madara walked through the village streets, noting how the atmosphere around him felt different from before. Villagers kept their distance, but their gazes reflected fear rather than respect. The women, however, blushed and cast lingering glances at him. His sharp features and commanding presence made him irresistibly striking.
At the Uchiha Police Force headquarters, his clan members eyed him curiously. Their attention zeroed in on his clothing, which appeared sophisticated and unique.
"Where did the clan leader get those clothes?" one asked.
"I have no idea," another replied, "but they look incredible."
After inspecting the Police Force, Madara confirmed that operations were running smoothly and returned home. As soon as he left, the department buzzed with excitement.
"Those clothes the clan leader wore were amazing! I want something like that too."
"Yeah, but where do you even get them?"
"Have you noticed he wasn't as intimidating today?"
"Maybe it's because he changed his hairstyle and clothes."
Uchiha Suishan stepped out of his office, barking, "What's all this noise? Get back to work!"
The hall fell silent as everyone hurriedly resumed their duties. Still, a few couldn't resist sketching designs of Madara's outfit, planning to replicate it later.
Elsewhere, Madara was deep in thought. The words on the Uchiha Stone Tablet resonated with him: "Two opposing forces must become one. Only by transcending humanity can one achieve true peace." The cryptic message left him conflicted. Would following the path outlined on the tablet bring lasting peace? Or was Yamamoto Ryusei's approach more viable?
A few days later, Uzumaki Mito and Senju Miyuki strolled through Konoha's streets wearing outfits designed by Ryusei. Their appearance caused a stir among the village women, who gushed over their beauty and elegance. Seizing the opportunity, Yamashita Ekeko launched a clothing line, selling designs inspired by Ryusei's work. The shop sold out on the first day, and Ekeko quickly recruited more seamstresses to meet demand.
Back at the Senju compound, Mito served Ryusei tea, her tone gentle yet purposeful. "Ryusei, have you thought of any new clothing designs? Something truly unique and impossible to imitate?"
Senju Miyuki's sharp gaze joined Mito's question.
Ryusei scratched his head, replying awkwardly, "Mito-sama, I've been too busy training. I haven't had time to think about it."
Mito smiled knowingly. "Training is important, but you need to relax too. Drawing and creating can be a good way to unwind. Besides, you could use shadow clones."
Ryusei groaned. Relax? You just want me to design more clothes.
"Even my shadow clones are busy training," he protested.
Mito raised an eyebrow, considering his response. "If you're so focused on training, how about learning the Uzumaki clan's sealing techniques?"
Ryusei's eyes lit up. "Really? You'd teach me sealing techniques?"
Mito smirked. "That depends on my mood."
"Uh… Mito-sama, designing something unique is impossible. Anyone can replicate what we make unless we use rare materials or advanced techniques."
"Are those materials expensive?" Mito inquired.
Ryusei nodded. "Very expensive, and hard to obtain."
Mito dismissed the idea as impractical. "What about advanced techniques?"
Ryusei shrugged. "That's beyond my expertise."
Mito waved him off. "Fine, you're excused. Go do your training."
Ryusei hesitated. "Does this mean you'll teach me the sealing technique?"
Mito fetched a scroll and handed it to him. "This contains the basics. Study it first. If you can't grasp it, sealing isn't for you. And don't neglect your other training."
Ryusei eagerly accepted the scroll. "Thank you, Mito-sama! I'll let my shadow clones handle it while I continue training."
Once he left, Mito turned to Miyuki. "Gather all the Senju seamstresses. Let's see if we can create a technique that's truly unique."
"Yes!" Miyuki replied enthusiastically, dashing off to carry out the order.
Meanwhile, Ryusei allocated shadow clones to practice ninjutsu while training alongside Komiya Yuki. When Yuki returned with lunch, she blushed, asking, "Ryuusei, how does it taste?"
Ryusei smiled politely. "It's delicious."
Delighted, Yuki added more food to his plate. "Then have some more!"
Their peaceful moment was interrupted by Yamashita Shuangfeng, who ran over holding a peculiar object. "Big brother, look what I made!"
Ryusei examined the item, chuckling. "This sickle is well-made."
Shuangfeng's face turned red. "It's a sword."
"What?" Ryusei stared at the inward-curved blade. "But the edge is on the wrong side."
"Did I sharpen it wrong?" Shuangfeng muttered, embarrassed.
Yuki burst out laughing, and Ryusei chuckled. "Don't worry. Just give it a name, like the Inner-Blade Crescent Sword, and no one will notice."
Shuangfeng brightened but admitted sheepishly, "I snuck into the forge while Brother Ryota was away and used scrap metal."
Ryusei's expression darkened. "You can't skip basics, Shuangfeng! Blacksmithing without proper guidance is dangerous. What if you hurt yourself?"
Shuangfeng lowered his head. "I'm sorry, big brother. I won't do it again."
Ryusei softened. "Good. Learn from Ryota, follow his instructions, and focus on the basics. A solid foundation is everything. Do you understand?"
"Yes, big brother!" Shuangfeng replied earnestly.
Afterwards, Yuki offered Shuangfeng lunch, who cheekily grinned. "Thanks, sister-in-law."
Blushing, Yuki avoided his gaze and quietly ate beside Ryusei.
Once lunch was over, Shuangfeng returned to his studies, and Yuki resumed practicing chakra control under Ryusei's guidance.
