"What kind of ninjutsu is it?" Hyuga Tenpū asked urgently. He had been observing the battle from above for a while but couldn't glean any details about this technique. He only knew it allowed instantaneous movement, but the activation conditions, limitations, and chakra consumption remained a mystery.

Hyuga Tamamo extended her slender, jade-like finger and pointed at the kunai scattered across the battlefield. "Didn't you notice? Every time he teleports, there's an apparent randomness, but without exception, there's one constant—the kunai. Every location he teleports to has one of his thrown kunai."

"I've been watching closely," she continued. "When he attacked those Chunin, it seemed like he was appearing right next to them. But in reality, the distance varied—sometimes near, sometimes far. The variation depended on the placement of his kunai. The two Chunin who managed to escape did so because they moved outside the range of his kunai. And when he killed the last Chunin, he threw a kunai, which was dodged, but then teleported behind him immediately. This confirms my theory—if he could teleport freely, why bother throwing a kunai?"

"So that's why he scattered so many kunai earlier," Tamamo concluded with admiration. "The Uchiha clan's genius lives up to his name."

"Princess, now that we know how this technique works, is there a way to counter it?" Tenpū asked, his Byakugan locked onto Uchiha Gen's figure as he darted across the battlefield.

Tamamo sighed. "I don't know if he created this jutsu himself, but it's near perfect. He's leveraging space itself to move. If his raw strength were any higher—even just at the level of a full-fledged Jōnin—this situation would be nearly unmanageable. But thankfully, his personal combat ability is only at the Special Jōnin level, which exposes slight flaws in this jutsu."

"What do we do?" Tenpū asked directly, trusting Tamamo's judgment.

"It's simple. Since his teleportation depends on the kunai, we just need to remove them systematically to compress his teleportation range. Once his space to maneuver is restricted, it'll be easy for you two Jōnin to finish him off," Tamamo explained.

She quickly added, "However, there's a problem. We don't know how many kunai he has left. If he's carrying ninja tool scrolls, he can keep scattering kunai while moving. And we don't know if there's a range limit to this technique. If he placed kunai in distant locations beforehand, he could just teleport away when things get tight. We'd be left looking like fools."

"Assuming there's no range limit—or that it's very far—where would he most likely have pre-placed kunai?" Tamamo wondered aloud.

She paused, watching the ongoing skirmish below, her bright white eyes narrowing in thought. After a moment, her gaze sharpened, and she called out, "Kazama!"

"Yes, Princess!"

A man in Hyuga attire emerged from the shadows nearby, bowing respectfully.

Hyuga Kazama was Tamamo's personal bodyguard, assigned by the clan leader himself. A skilled Jōnin, Kazama had followed Tamamo closely on all her missions, ensuring her safety at all costs.

"Head to the Uchiha base nearby," Tamamo commanded. "Eliminate all the Uchiha ninja stationed there. If Uchiha Gen shows up, kill him on sight. I suspect he may have left kunai there as part of his escape plan. If he doesn't appear, return to the Hyuga clan by morning without delay."

"Understood!" Kazama responded before vanishing into the shadows, speeding off into the distance.

"Princess, isn't this excessive?" Tenpū asked cautiously. "Gen may be a genius, but he's still only a five-year-old child. Unless he knew about this ambush in advance, there's no way he could've prepared an escape route like that."

Tamamo smiled lightly. "And I'm only eight. Never underestimate your opponent. A ninja must always prepare for the worst-case scenario, right?"

Turning her gaze back to the battle, she continued, "Now, let's talk about how we can kill this slippery eel."

Tenpū fell silent, trusting that Tamamo already had a plan in mind.

She gestured toward the battlefield, where Gen continued to evade the two pursuing Jōnin. "If we assume he has prepared an escape route, why hasn't he fled yet? By now, it should be clear he can't defeat either of you, let alone kill you."

Tenpū replied, "That's why I think he hasn't prepared any retreat. Otherwise, there'd be no reason for him to drag this out."

Tamamo shook her head. "No, this means he's waiting. He's stalling for an opportunity—a chance to overcome the power gap and turn the tables."

Tenpū frowned. "That opportunity doesn't exist. His personal strength is too weak. Even if he were given years to train, it'd still be impossible now."

Tamamo smirked. "That opportunity exists. If he can capture me, he has a chance."

Tenpū's expression changed drastically. "I'll ensure your safety, Princess!"

Tamamo shook her head. "No, we're going to give him that opportunity. If he really does have pre-placed kunai or enough scrolls to continue scattering them, we can't just focus on removing the kunai—it's not a reliable solution. His technique is terrifying because it's impervious to most countermeasures. That leaves us with only one option—psychological manipulation."

She glanced at a kunai lying near her feet, one that had been thrown at the start of the battle but landed nearby. Initially, she hadn't paid it any attention, but now it seemed significant.

"I have a plan," she murmured, explaining it to Tenpū. A sly smile spread across her face, sharp and cunning in the moonlight, reminiscent of a white fox.
