Naruto : Behind The Scenes Big Boss System

Chapter 8: Confrontation with the Hyuga Ninjas

Before the sunset, Uchiha Madara and Uchiha Gen gathered all the members of their generation in the hall. Along with them, there was one Special Jonin and three Chunin remaining in the clan.

At the same time, Uchiha Madara ordered all the women in the clan to lock their doors tightly, instructing them not to show themselves regardless of what they hear. He also sent two lower-ranked ninjas: one to track down the Third Elder, and the other to head to the battlefield to inform them of the situation in the clan.

"Young Clan Leader, is the information you received true?" Uchiha Jii, the clan's only Special Jonin, asked with a hint of hope.

Uchiha Madara nodded seriously. "The information was brought by Gen, it's absolutely correct. Prepare for a fight to the death."

Uchiha Jii, squashing the last shred of hope in his heart, gripped the sword on his back and silently stood by, awaiting the nightfall. He had already anticipated that tonight would be a bloody battle.

In the hall, there were eighty-seven children of Madara's generation, all between five and ten years old, and mostly lower-ranked ninjas, with Uchiha Izuna being the only one at the Chunin level.

Of course, the Uchiha clan's new generation was not limited to just this group, but the children who hadn't even reached the lower-ninja rank were told to hide away, as they would only be a hindrance.

A group of young lower ninjas were now gathered together, chatting excitedly without much concern, and even displaying faint excitement. They considered themselves the elite of the new generation, already dreaming of battling enemies after adulthood, seeking fame in all the clans, and showing their strength.

Most of them had never seen blood and didn't understand the true cruelty of the world. In their minds, tonight's enemies were just like the previous trial targets they had faced, unaware of the real difference.

"A bunch of idiots, sigh!" Gen muttered, not in the hall but sitting on the roof, watching as the evening sky darkened, his expression growing serious.

He was different from the children protected in the clan. He had the mindset of an adult and understood the harshness of the ninja world. He clearly remembered a line from the original story: "The average lifespan of a person in this era is under thirty."

It was a simple line, but one full of bloodshed.

Not to mention the battle he had fought earlier, where he had faced a fairly strong Chunin. He managed to win so decisively because every move had been part of his plan, combined with the power of the Sharingan illusion, which made the fight quick. If it had been purely based on strength, even though he could have won, it would not have been so easy.

Listening to the noisy chatter in the hall, a faint smirk appeared at the corner of Gen's lips. Madara was too young; he had only considered the children's physical strength, but hadn't taken into account their age. Gen was certain that if these children faced ten mid-level ninjas fresh from the battlefield, the sheer killing intent alone would terrify them, let alone the various techniques the enemies could use.

"This battle is not going to be easy. Casualties are inevitable." Gen sighed and lay down on the roof, thinking to himself.

However, it wasn't a big concern to him. He wasn't deeply attached to the Uchiha clan yet. The main reason he chose to stay and fight was that, even if they lost, with his current strength, he could safely retreat.

"By the way, could this be the same ambush from the original story? Maybe Madara is referring to the fact that, apart from Izuna, the rest of the brothers all die tonight," Gen suddenly thought, and the more he considered it, the more likely it seemed. Madara was already eight years old, and according to the plot, he should meet Senju Hashirama by next year. But so far, his brothers, including Gen himself, were still alive, which didn't align with the original storyline.

Thinking idly about this, Gen wasn't too worried. With his current strength, even if he couldn't defeat a Jonin, he could still escape easily. As long as he didn't make the mistake of fighting head-on, nothing unexpected should happen.

With the night wind blowing gently, Gen felt a sense of comfort and closed his eyes to rest. He wasn't overly concerned about being ambushed by the Hyuga clan ninjas just yet. Ninja tactics had their own rules. It was still early in the night, and people's spirits were at their peak. Only a fool would choose to strike now.

In general, ninja assassinations were usually carried out around 2 AM, the time when people were most fatigued and vulnerable, which was perfect for an ambush.

Time passed, and before he knew it, it was around 1 AM. Gen opened his eyes on cue, having rested and conserved his energy, now fully alert.

Meanwhile, the Uchiha children in the hall weren't as alert as he was. After the previous conversations, they had long become drowsy. They were not so much a group of lower ninjas as they were children with lower ninja abilities.

Uchiha Izuna rubbed his tired eyes and walked up to Madara, whispering, "Big Brother, it's already 1 AM, and there's still no sign of anything. Do you think Gen's information might be wrong?"

Uchiha Madara, full of energy, looked at him fondly and replied, "Don't be careless. This is when things are the most dangerous. Remember, when the battle starts, I won't be able to take care of you. You must protect yourself."

As they were speaking, Gen walked into the room from the door, approached Madara, and simply said, "They've arrived!"

Madara's eyes immediately lit up, and a fiery battle spirit ignited in him. He grabbed the sword lying beside him and stood up. "The enemy is here. All Uchiha clan members, follow me to confront them!"

The children, who had been sluggish, suddenly regained their energy and rushed toward the hall's exit. Madara, Gen, and Izuna stayed behind.

"Gen, it's up to us two in this battle. We must give it our all." Madara said, his hand gripping the sword trembling, not out of fear but excitement.

"Don't worry, I'll definitely finish the fight within ten minutes," Gen replied seriously, sneaking a glance at Madara's excited right hand and taking a step back.

Gen thought to himself, "Madara has a bit of a sword-obsessed personality. I never noticed it before. It's better to keep some distance; people like him can cause a lot of chaos when they get too excited."

They moved quickly, and when they reached the front of the group, they looked up to see thirteen figures swiftly leaping across the rooftops in the moonlight. The fastest of them was but a shadow.

Madara's eyes narrowed, his presence suddenly becoming heavy and stern. His thumb flicked the sword, and it gleamed coldly in the moonlight.

Gen, though calm on the outside, couldn't help but feel a shock inside. "This aura… Madara has killed before. When was that?"
