Naruto: From Konoha to One Piece

Chapter 137: Chapter 137: Ruins and Renewal

"Is this Raccoon City?" Shin muttered, scanning the decaying ruins in front of him. After comparing the map in his hand one last time, he confirmed he'd finally reached his target.

Although Shin could have arrived sooner, given his speed, the chaos now engulfing the Americas had complicated navigation. With no GPS or reliable maps, most of his time had been spent simply finding his way. Fortunately, he'd encountered Alice, who had been dispatched by Umbrella Corp; otherwise, locating this place could have taken much longer.

"All right, you can stop here," Shin instructed Alice. Raccoon City had been nuked, leaving behind severe nuclear radiation. Though his strength, combined with his spatial abilities, could protect him, Alice might not fare as well.

With a swift movement, Shin phased into the city's ruins. Using his sensory abilities and Rinnegan, he soon identified the Hive's hidden entrance buried deep beneath the ground.

Shin had no interest in wandering through the wasteland filled with radiation and mutated creatures. Rather than confront Umbrella Corporation's defenses like laser grids and reinforced doors, he bypassed them with his powers, progressing deeper into the Hive.

"Stop! Identify yourself!"

A sudden voice interrupted him. Turning, Shin saw the projected image of a young girl.

"The Red Queen?" he remarked, recognizing her instantly. "Well, my objective appeared by itself."

Without giving her a second thought, he continued through the base. Umbrella Corporation's security measures were no match for him, and before long, he descended into the Hive's central complex.

As he entered, the lights brightened, and a man with a smug expression confronted him.

"Impressive. I hadn't anticipated the T-virus would create another superhuman. Have you made your body intangible? This virus was initially designed for Alice..." the man sneered. "However, this room suppresses T-virus abilities, so your power is now nullified..."

Shin briefly recalled this man as the Resident Evil series' final antagonist, though he couldn't remember his name. Only fragments remained in his mind, like the fact that this man harbored a biochip that granted superhuman abilities.

Uninterested in the man's monologue, Shin extended his hand and muttered, "Universal Pull!"

Instantly, the man was pulled toward him, screaming. Shin caught his head with one hand, exuding a cold, focused intensity.

"Human Path: Soul Extraction!"

Rather than waste time talking, Shin delved directly into the man's soul to retrieve the information he needed.

Moments later, Shin opened his eyes, releasing the man, who now wore a blank expression. Soul Extraction usually left its target dead, but Shin sensed something valuable about the man. Thus, he manipulated his chakra to sustain the man's life, akin to handling a puppet.

Guiding his puppet, Shin soon arrived at an advanced-looking computer control room. Using the man's fingerprints and retina, he transferred the Red Queen's access rights to himself, effectively commandeering Umbrella Corporation's primary AI.

With the task complete, Shin withdrew his chakra, letting his puppet collapse lifelessly to the floor. He barely remembered the antagonist's name, but he had served his purpose.

Extending his sensory abilities, Shin detected a significant number of Umbrella Corporation executives in dormant chambers nearby, along with a decaying Alice prototype suffering from progeria. Ignoring both, he moved directly to the T-virus antidote storage area.

This time, Shin merely commanded, "Red Queen, open the warehouse."

The doors slid open, and Shin retrieved the antidote. His Rinnegan activated as he surveyed the facility, a smirk crossing his face.

"If they like sleeping so much, then let them sleep forever."

"Dark Void!"

With a gesture, Shin absorbed the Red Queen's mainframe into a void, rendering the AI's systems inaccessible. Even if the Umbrella Corporation executives eventually woke, they would find themselves trapped behind reinforced glass, facing a slow demise.

Through a few walls, Shin noticed the lone, awake Alice struggling against her deteriorating condition. Deciding not to interfere, he exited the Hive.

Standing once more amidst the ruins of Raccoon City, Shin reflected on the devastation surrounding him.

"Humans in the Resident Evil world truly lost their way... It started here, so it should end here."

He held the antidote aloft and declared, "Almighty Push!"

The solution burst into mist, soaring thousands of meters into the air. Shin then focused his chakra.

"Rain Tiger at Will Jutsu."

A gentle rain fell, coating the ruins in a fine drizzle. It wasn't as torrential as the rains in the Land of Rain, more of a light mist that soon dissipated.

Under the soft rain, the T-virus-infected creatures gradually disintegrated into ashes. The cacophony of twisted roars that had echoed through Raccoon City faded into whispers and then into silence.

As the rain stopped, the stench of decaying bodies vanished. The T-virus antidote appeared to break down the corpses on a cellular level, transforming the once-monster-infested city into a desolate but ordinary ruin.

The silence was eerie—no sounds of insects or animals, just a barren, still landscape.

A faint rainbow appeared in the sky, almost as if nature was celebrating a renewal.

At that moment, a notification from his system confirmed that Resident Evil's world had become a base world. Shin wasn't sure how that would benefit him, but it seemed beneficial, at least for his energy reserves.

He didn't linger long. After his experience in the Resident Evil world, he resolved to thoroughly explore and exhaust the benefits of both the Naruto and One Piece worlds before engaging in further travels.

His first adventure in the One Piece world had been lucky. Although dangerous, that world allowed a person of average strength to survive if they played their cards right.

But his recent experiences had reminded him that there were far worse places he could end up.

The mere thought of finding himself in a world like Dragon Ball, facing Kid Buu, or stumbling onto a battlefield in the Abyssal War in Custom Bionicle gave him a chill.
