Chapter 105: Chapter 105: Uchiha Hikaru
Two days later, Zetsu returned to the Land of Rain, bringing someone with him to meet Nagato.
The newcomer was a girl with long black hair cascading to her waist, dressed in a blue outfit. White bandages were wrapped around her calves, and she appeared to be around thirteen or fourteen years old. She was strikingly beautiful, but her expression was as cold as ice, exuding a chilling aura that made her seem like a walking block of frost.
"So, these are the Rinnegan?" The girl, Uchiha Hikaru, scrutinized Nagato with her crimson eyes, her tone laced with doubt. "Doesn't look particularly impressive."
She turned to Zetsu, her gaze sharp. "Is this the person you spoke of? While he does seem somewhat capable, can he really help me annihilate the Uchiha clan?"
Nagato didn't take offense at her blunt words. Instead, he studied the girl with interest, thinking to himself, She's no ordinary Uchiha. Her ocular power is incredible... Though immature, with time, she could become one of the pillars of the Akatsuki.
"Don't underestimate the Rinnegan," Zetsu said, his tone calm but firm. "With the Rinnegan, Nagato's power will eventually rival that of the Sage of Six Paths."
"The Sage of Six Paths, huh…" Hikaru chuckled softly, her smile cold as her gaze returned to Zetsu. "That doesn't matter to me. What matters is whether he can help me get my revenge."
"Hikaru," Nagato said confidently, meeting her icy stare, "the Uchiha clan is a common enemy. I will do everything in my power to help you achieve your vengeance."
Hikaru raised an eyebrow but gave no verbal response, her expression unreadable. After a moment, she turned back to Zetsu, her voice steady.
"You said you had a way to resolve the blindness caused by my Mangekyō Sharingan. What's your solution?"
"If you can solve the issue with my eyes, I can deal with the Uchiha clan myself," she added, her tone carrying a razor-sharp edge. Her crimson Sharingan swirled in the dim light, radiating an aura of unrelenting killing intent.
The memories of her past surfaced, and her heart burned with disdain for the Uchiha clan—and for the world itself.
Nagato stepped forward, breaking the tense silence. "Miss Hikaru, don't underestimate the Uchiha clan. They're incredibly powerful right now. As far as I know, three members have awakened the Mangekyō Sharingan, and their strength is extraordinary."
"Three Mangekyō users?" Hikaru's expression cooled further, the weight of the information settling over her.
Over the years, the Uchiha clan had grown even stronger than she had anticipated.
But Zetsu interjected with a faint smile. "There's no need to worry too much. As long as they haven't achieved the Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan, you'll have the advantage. Once your eyesight is stabilized and you've fully developed your Mangekyō powers, you'll be more than capable of destroying the Uchiha clan yourself."
Hikaru's transplanted Mangekyō Sharingan held immense power, far surpassing that of ordinary users. However, due to being sealed by the Senju and Sarutobi clans shortly after the transplant, she hadn't had the chance to fully explore her abilities.
"If we graft Senju Hashirama's cells, this girl might even reach the level of Madara Uchiha with his Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan…" Zetsu thought, a glimmer of expectation in his eyes. Hikaru was one of his carefully prepared contingencies.
The fusion of Senju cells with the Mangekyō Sharingan had the potential to exponentially enhance ocular power. Combined with the latent strength of Hikaru's eyes, this would unlock terrifying possibilities.
"When can we begin resolving my problem?" Hikaru asked, her tone sharp as her gaze fixed on Zetsu.
"Right now," Zetsu replied with a sly smile.
He led the way, taking Hikaru deeper into the shadowy chambers. Nagato watched them disappear into the darkness, a faint smile playing on his lips.
An hour later, the door to the darkened room creaked open. Hikaru emerged, her face alight with satisfaction. Her chakra reserves had grown exponentially, her vitality surged, and her ocular power brimmed with newfound strength.
"This feels... perfect," she murmured to herself, her voice tinged with both delight and anticipation.
"Congratulations, Hikaru, on resolving your eyesight issues," Nagato said warmly.
Hikaru responded with a curt nod. "I've been sealed for a long time. Could you arrange for some books? I need to catch up on the current state of the ninja world."
"Of course," Nagato replied, bowing slightly.
Not long after, a stack of history books detailing the ninja world's recent past was delivered to her.
Under the dim light, Hikaru's Sharingan spun as she voraciously absorbed the information, her mind piecing together the changes in this unfamiliar world.
Hours later, she paused, her expression shifting.
"So many years have passed…" she muttered to herself.
Her thoughts turned dark. "If not for the seals from the Senju and Sarutobi clans, I wouldn't have survived to see this era—or had the chance to destroy the Uchiha clan."
The world she now faced was unrecognizable. During the Warring States Period, clans fought for survival. Now, massive ninja villages like Kumogakure and Sunagakure waged wars on a far grander scale.
What surprised her most was that the Uchiha and Senju clans had joined forces to establish Konohagakure—a symbol of unity and strength.
To her, the very existence of Konoha, born from the Uchiha, was another target for destruction.
Nagato's warning resonated within her.
Konoha is no ordinary foe. It's a coalition of once-rival clans, their strength far surpassing that of any single group.
"Still…" Hikaru's lips curled into a cold smile. "With the power I've gained from Hashirama's cells, my strength is on a whole new level. The destruction of Konoha is no longer impossible."
Her crimson eyes glinted dangerously. "Five Great Ninja Villages, Konoha, the Uchiha clan… This world has only grown more chaotic over the years. Perhaps it's time for it to end."
She unrolled a large scroll left behind by Zetsu—Madara Uchiha's legacy. As she scanned its contents, her expression grew increasingly frigid.
"This man…" she murmured, admiration laced with icy resolve. "The strongest in Uchiha history, without a doubt."
"The Ten-Tails Jinchūriki… If I gain the same power as the Sage of Six Paths, I'll have what I need to obliterate this world."
Her gaze burned with determination as she immersed herself in the scroll's secrets, preparing to carve a path of vengeance through the world.
