Not Quite Back to the Future

Axel “Blitzhammer” Reinhardt

Axel Reinhardt was born in Berlin, Germany, in the year 2033, a time when cybernetic enhancements and advanced technologies were becoming increasingly popular and even more common than thought possible. Rather than just veterans and super soldiers, it was now possible for the common man to augment themselves in ways thought impossible a hundred years earlier. Being a gearhead and a bodybuilder with a knack for fighting he was among the first to take the boxing rings back from the robotic titans which had claimed it in the early 2020s.

Reinforced skulls, spring-loaded arms, reflect tuners, and pure human skill forced out the robotic boxers and humans were kings of the rings once again. Though that might have just been people getting tired of corporate-sponsored war robots duking it out for entertainment. Everyone alive had gotten to see enough of those during the corporate wars.

As one of the first human boxers back in the ring in over a decade his rise to fame was meteoric Blitzhammer was known worldwide and the German boy got to travel the world. Sadly did not come without its hiccups and mistakes. His friends always did tell him to avoid politics, no one usually pisses off a corpo and lives long to talk about it. In the first attempt on his life, SiemienVonRheinmedal could be tracked as the most likely culprit. Then again there were a few corporations that could muster up a hit squad in Europe.

The several half-assed attempts which came after only bolstered the boxer's confidence. Unfortunately, death eventually caught up with the Blitzhammer in the end. In the year 2066 Axel was followed into a back alley in Munich and shot point blank in the head by a Russian-built tech pistol.
