One Piece: Overlord Buggy

AN: I needed a break, and I coincidentally (and accidentally) made it almost another 60 chapters before taking a real one. Around chapter 180 should be the next one, but I may not be right about that. Thanks for waiting for this chapter, the story isn't dropped.

I woke up to exactly what I fell asleep to. Rem leaning on my shoulder, and the two of us under a blanket, Xetalona still under a blanket, yet sideways in the chair, and Taki, who turned into a ball with a blanket and a cloak wrapped around her, her head sticking out of the ball to breathe.

And the brightness from outside hit me in the eyes. I lifted my left arm, squinted, and groaned "... whhyyyyyy is it soooo bright out....?"

'Oh good, you're finally awake.'

"...what..."

'I did manipulate you, just a little last night to go to sleep.'

'Hah?'

'I figured it would be better for you to stress in the morning rather than before you fall asleep.'

"What... are you talking about?"

'I'm talking about-'

"Nope. Stop. Too early. I just woke up a minute ago.. you don't need to talk to me... Like.. a minute?.. after I just woke up..."

'Well, it would also be better for you to stop talking out loud.'

"....am I?"

I heard a growl come from other me, and so, I switched to internal conversation.

'So, is that all? Can I try to go back to sleep?'

'Aaaaaand fail?'

'You don't have to point that out. I KNOW I can't fall back asleep after waking up...'

'Not unless you're tired, right?'

'Mhmm.'

'...'

'....'

'...'

'What were you talking about?'

'Oh, yes. I was talking about the stress you didn't go through last night.'

'What did I stress about?'

'According to you, there was apparently a list.'

'A list...?'

And then it hit me.

'OHMYGOSH! THAT LIST OF STUFF! THERE WAS SO MUCH TO STRESS ABOUT! WHY DID YOU MAKE ME FALL ASLEEP!? I COULD'VE HAD ALL OF THESE THOUGHTS OVER AND DONE WITH LAST NIGHT!'

Apparently the other me was taken aback.

'... I.. uh.. didn't expect this response...'

'YOU SHOULD'VE! I MEAN, YOU JUST COMPLETELY MADE ME FALL ASLEEP AFTER THINKING ABOUT LITERALLY ANYTHING ELSE, AND THEN, YOU APPARENTLY DIDN'T REMEMBER THAT I DO THAT SOMETIMES! APPARENTLY YOU DIDN'T LOOK THROUGH ALL MY MEMORIES, OR.. JUST EVERYTHING!'

'Aaaauuuuh.....'

'And, to start that list you so reminded me of, is a new thing, I DON'T THINK I CAN TRUST SOME OF MY OWN PERSONALITIES! YOU were just added to the list.'

'Ummmmmm.... Wha...?'

'... Nevermind that.. I'll just keep more of an eye... not an eye... I'll keep more of a mental check on you. I don't need to be put to sleep by my own mind!'

'....uhm.. okay then. If you must do so instead of trusting me..'

'Yes, I must. Now. On top of making sure LUCIFER DOESN'T TAKE OVER, AT ALL!.. I have Xetalona to worry about with her.. weird obsession of Senco... There's Senco too, whom I just GENERALLY need to watch.. he's one hundred percent not trustworthy. Unless his emotional state was a complete lie and my Haki was wrong.. but I don't think he even had Haki.. I couldn't sense any... No! Get back on track mind!'

I racked my brain over things I needed to do.

'.. I have that well to search.. that's actually not much of a stressful thing as others.. I have Rem's... PTSD... or something to worry about and help with... There's helping with the new design of the ship to fly, there's retrofitting stuff to MY ship to make it fly....'

And a thought struck me.

'OH MORA, MY SHIP!'

I fully turned into sand, and after limping for a second followed by reforming, I immediately dashed over to see if it was within view.

'What? Is something wrooooooo.....'

'MY. SHIP. MAY. BE. DESTROYED!'

'OUR SHIP MIGHT BE GONE!'

'YOU JUST REPEATED WHAT I SAID!'

'WHAT'RE YOU DOING!? CHECK!'

'THATS WHAT IM DOING IDIOT!'

'THAT WAS UNCALLED FOR!'

I ended up at the edge of the building, where the non-existent wall was with the sketchy elevator, and nearly fell off the edge after looking down into only clouds. I backed up slightly, and then took a second to try and not think about just how far the ground was.

'Oh, ho-ho! I don't need to stress about this right now! Falling off! Nah! I don't need MORE strain on my mind right now!'

'Yeeeeaaaah, my idea to postpone your anxieties was not my best...'

'Yes, yes. You made a mistake! I get it! Now how- OBSERVATION! DUDE, HOW HAVE I FORGOTTEN THIS ALREADY!?'

Immediately using my Observation moulded into a string, I tried to stretch my view as far as I could, but I couldn't even reach the ground with it.

'WHAT IS GOING ON HERE?'

'I DON'T KNOW! NEITHER OF US ARE OMNIPOTENT!'

'THANKS CAPTAIN OBVIOUS! YESTERDAY I COULD'VE SWORN THAT I SENSED A FREAKING TSUMNAMI EARLY ENOUGH TO GET OUT OF THE WAY OF IT! SO WHY CA-'

'...'

'....'

'What? Why'd you stop talking?'

'Didn't... Didn't that tsunami sized wave... Hit the ship?'

'Oh. No.'

'THAT ONE WAVE COULD'VE DECIMATED MY NEWLY NAMED ROYAL DECK! AND NOW MY OBSERVATION IS GOING ON THE FRITZ AND I CANT THINK STRAIGHT!'

'....'

'WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO DO?'

'....'

'HELLO?'

'.... Me?'

'WHAT? DID YOU COME UP WITH SOMETHING?'

'Yes.'

'WHAT IS IT?'

'... You won't like it.'

'JUST TELL ME! I NEED TO CHECK IF THE SHIP IS STILL THERE! I NEED- Oh Mora... The book... I NEED THE SHIP, scratch that, THE VAULT TO BE SAFE!'

A sigh rung in my head.

'Okay then. Jump.'

'What?'

'Jump.'

'A-Again, what!? I can't just-'

'Jump.. or I take control and do it.'

'...You wouldn't...'

'Test me.'

I could not tell at all what my other self was thinking with my mind jumbled up, nor could I come up with any other way down quickly.

'Alright.. fine. Let's go.'

I hesitated for a second, before I jumped up and used Geppo to move forward, only thinking 'How do I land?' right before I stuttered in mid air, readying myself to Geppo back.

'WHAT AM I DOING? I CAN'T JUST JUMP DOWN! THATS THE DUMBEST THING I COULD HAVE DONE!'

But before I could even finish fixing my own trajectory, I felt a wave of calmness rush over me, and I steeled myself to just fall.

And so, over the edge I dropped, falling a couple foot distance away from the extremely tall cliff face that flew by as I dropped. I did have a realization that Zen Mode was on, and I was in a state of calm thanks to it. But it wasn't a full Zen Mode, I still had some control over my body rather than my body going through repeated movements.

What I was controlling though was my observation, which had gone back to a semi-normal state, having extended far past where I could see before, as I could easily sense the ground, along with a fair distance away, still unable to sense the ship.

'Just how tall is this island? Scratch that.. how BIG is this island? And what's up with my Haki?'

The wind was blowing past and around me, and I was left to my thoughts, until I passively noticed just how fast the ground was approaching. I couldn't see it with my eyes, but I could sense it.

'Wait.. how did I decide to land?'

On the verge of freaking out, I looked down and only saw fog, no water, nothing. And something happened. Everything slowed down, and my perception with Observation shrunk considerably.

'Whaaaat's happening?'

'What's happening is: you made this ability a reality, and don't use it as often as you could. I mean, using observation to slow down your perception of time by condensing the space it takes? AND you speed up your own thoughts? In this world, no one would have ever thought of such a thing, except for.. maybe Vegapunk under the right circumstances? Anyways. You don't use this actually broken ability as often as you should. Who can really fight against someone who can think faster than them? It would be better in an actual fighting scenario, but right now, it's being used so that we can figure out how to land.'

'Uh.....'

'How do we land?'

'How DO we land?'

'Listen, I have access to memories, but I don't think exactly like you. So, with your... surprisingly... oddly high mass amount of knowledge, how do we safely get to the ground?'

'.... I mean.. we used Geppo to fly out of the building... How about slow us down until we just start to walk on air?'

'... That could work. Any backup ideas?'

I looked around using my now very condensed observation, and found the jagged cliff face had some parts that pointed out of the side, some big enough that I could hold on to.

'Maybe I could.... Wait a sec... I can fly.'

'Uh.. yeah. I know, that's what Geppo does. That was the original idea to land was.'

'Not that.'

'What do you mean by.... ooooOOOOOHHHHH!'

'Yep.'

'We can literally fly!'

'Using the devil fruit, yes.'

'Okay! Let's go then!'

And time sped back up to the point that it felt like I was going faster. I also could sense much more thanks to the dispersal of my Observation.

And so, within a second, I split a foot from my body and threw it to the ground with my right arm, just to make sure I could fly. My foot then disappeared into the fog, and for a second, I couldn't feel any ground, but I sensed my foot was going quicker than my own body to the ground.

But then, the feeling of the ground clicked, and I started to slow my decent down to the ground.
