In the early morning, at the port of Shelz Town,

The warship of Branch 153 set sail.

Loya stood at the edge of the deck, gazing out at the vast ocean, his heart racing. This was his first time going out to sea since arriving in this world.

Unfortunately, the mop and bucket at his feet somewhat spoiled the mood.

"Loya, it's time to get to work!"

"Coming!"

Loya picked up the mop and bucket and began cleaning the deck alongside Fullbody.

The branch's warship was a medium-sized vessel, not much larger than the Merry, capable of carrying up to a hundred people.

Since this voyage wasn't for combat, fewer troops were deployed, meaning everyone had to take on more work. As the newest recruits, they were assigned a considerable amount of menial tasks.

Loya didn't mind.

Getting out to sea and seeing the world was far more interesting than standing guard at the branch.

Once they finished their tasks, the two skillfully found a corner to take a break.

Fullbody chuckled and elbowed Loya, curiosity bubbling over. "So, how did your match with Corporal Morgan go last night?"

"Do I even need to say?"

Loya rolled his eyes in frustration.

What else could it be? Total domination!

Morgan just stood there, letting him do whatever he wanted.

When Loya threw his full power into a punch, Morgan stood still without flinching—not even blinking. His muscular body was harder than rock, sending vibrations through Loya's arm.

He couldn't break through that armor!

Realizing brute force wouldn't work, Loya tried to dance around for a while, looking for Morgan's openings and weaknesses. He planned to use sneaky techniques like "Monkey Steals Peach" or "Thousand-Year Kill," only to be knocked out cold by a single slap from Morgan.

The guy was just a tank!

At his current stage, he wasn't qualified to challenge Morgan. However, once he could truly defeat Morgan, he would have solid footing in this East Blue.

Loya shook off those thoughts and focused on their upcoming tasks. "Di Ge (Brother Di), do you know where we're headed?"

"Based on our course, we should be going to West Rob Village!"

Fullbody observed the sun for a moment before reaching that conclusion.

West Rob Village was located on an island southeast of Branch 153. It was a peaceful little village known for one special feature: it was home to a wealthy family renowned throughout the East Blue.

The Syrup Family.

The name of West Rob Village came from this wealthy family; one could say they established West Rob Village as most of the farmland and industries on the island belonged to them.

They were essentially super landlords.

Moreover, the Syrup family operated a large shipyard capable of independently constructing medium to large three-masted sailing ships, enjoying a stellar reputation throughout the East Blue.

Fullbody looked enviously at this. While his family was also wealthy, they were nowhere near true tycoons—he wouldn't even qualify to carry their shoes.

"West Rob Village... wealthy family..."

Loya recalled quickly and soon found relevant information in his memory.

It was Kaya's home!

In the future, Crocodile's plan involved killing Miss Kaya to rightfully inherit her family's fortune.

"Wealthy... inheritance..."

Loya stroked his chin thoughtfully.

He suddenly realized that if he could marry Miss Kaya, it might mean he wouldn't have to struggle for ten years!

Not only would he achieve financial freedom,

But she was fair-skinned and beautiful with a delicate figure and an amazing personality—who wouldn't like that?

He certainly did!

Marrying one or more gentle and kind beautiful wives was one of his life goals; Kaya completely matched his fantasy.

Let's do it!

If he didn't push himself a little harder, he'd never know where his limits lay.

Loya rubbed his face and tugged at Fullbody's sleeve. "Di Ge, can I borrow your makeup kit?"

"Huh? Didn't you say you don't like makeup?"

Fullbody looked suspicious; that makeup kit was his treasure—a limited edition purchased from Glass Bead Island at the forefront of fashion in the East Blue.

It was very valuable!

"Ha! I'm going all out to snag a rich wife!" In less than half a day, the warship arrived at West Rob Village and docked at the Syrup family's shipyard for repairs.

Upon hearing the news, the head of the Syrup family came personally to greet them. When he saw Rod, a smile broke out on his pale face.

"Cough cough! Colonel Rod."

"It's been a while, Mr. Syrup. You look well today."

"Ah! Who knows how long I can keep this up? Come to my house; I've had Merry prepare dinner. Let's have a drink tonight."

The two chatted like old friends as they walked together while Loya and Fullbody followed behind as guards while secretly observing this rare wealthy man from East Blue.

He wore gold-rimmed glasses with very fair skin and a frail body; he coughed several times after walking just a few steps—clearly someone who was sickly.

Perhaps due to being tormented by illness for so long, he gave off an unexpectedly comfortable vibe—nothing like an oppressive authority figure.

Arriving at the Syrup residence and seeing the luxurious estate before him only strengthened Loya's resolve to marry into wealth.

Even in his past life, he had never seen such extravagant private residences!

At the entrance of the mansion stood Mr. Syrup's wife and daughter Kaya. The two looked like they were cut from the same mold—one big and one small.

They had similar light golden shoulder-length hair, equally beautiful and delicate faces, soft white skin, matching light green dresses, gentle and charming demeanors...

And similarly...

"Cough cough cough~~"

Both mother and daughter covered their mouths as they coughed simultaneously.

Both were sickly!

"Uncle Rod!"

Kaya happily dashed into Rod's embrace.

Due to her frail health and years spent bedridden, Kaya knew very few people; her father's friend Rod was one of her closest outsiders.

Not far away, Loya stood frozen in place.

Fullbody noticed something off about Loya's expression and asked curiously: "Loya, are you okay?"

"I'm fine; I just had my heart broken."

Loya sighed as he looked up at the sky dramatically.

Dreams are beautiful but reality is harsh.

He had overlooked one crucial detail: age. Right now, Kaya looked only twelve or thirteen—a little girl who hadn't even fully matured yet!

He wasn't into lolis!

Forget it; women would only slow down his training speed.

As night fell, dinner was incredibly lavish.

Rare ingredients like deep-sea fish that were hard to come by were laid out across the table as if they cost nothing. Under meticulous preparation by the chef team, they emitted an enticing aroma that fully showcased four big characters:

Being rich is great!

"Delicious!"

Loya joined in at the table and couldn't stop eating.

Colonel Rod only brought those two along; Mr. and Mrs. Syrup had no airs about them and invited them to dine together as well.

Since Colonel Rod had no objections, Loya happily took advantage of this opportunity to enjoy such delicious food—something rarely experienced before!

While Loya buried himself in food and drink, Mr. Syrup and his wife observed him closely.

During their earlier conversation with Rod that day, they learned how much Rod valued this rookie named Loya—and even hinted that he intended to cultivate him into becoming the next base commander of Branch 153.

Just in time—they had a troublesome matter that needed assistance with.

"We hope he can protect Kaya well."
