Paladin in Dark Fantasy

chapter 29

Episode 29 .

Aiden immediately left the lord’s castle.

“Where have you been?”

“It was near the church.”

The church was located in the middle of the manor. If Tyrun entered the village entrance and passed the village, he would have noticed the change.

Aiden immediately ran. There was a farmland in the shortest distance, but I stepped on it and passed it without hesitation.

If Tyrune drank blood, it would spread with greater damage.

“Sir, over there!”

Far away, people were gathering and buzzing. Iden approached them at full speed.

Arriving and tugging at the reins, Petra writhed violently to a halt.

The crowd split left and right as they checked Iden. At the end of it, Tyrun looked down at the floor with a futile expression.

“Tyrun.”

Longing and resentment passed by at the same time in his eyes as he looked up at Iden. Soon after, his pupils were lethargic, and he smiled dejectedly.

As Aiden walked away, Tyrun slowly mounted his horse.

It was as if nothing had happened, and there was no sense of urgency at all. Aiden couldn’t hide his wonder.

“Tyrun, where are you going? Stop.”

The reason Aiden didn’t respect him, Tyrun knew well. It means you don’t have to respect it. That monstrous talent was not enough even after he slaughtered the mutants, and he had to expose his shame.

Even the opportunity to wash away sins was taken away.

Tyrun laughed as he sat on his horse and looked at Aiden.

“Kyung is a really great man.”

Before Aiden could say anything, Tyrun gripped the reins tightly.

“Hey!”

He turned his horse and ran toward the village entrance.

Daryl smiled bitterly, as if he understood.

“······This really hurts my bones in many ways.”

Aiden couldn’t quite understand Tyrun’s actions. However, I had to chase it once. Finding out if he drank blood was the first priority.

Aiden also boarded Petra and pursued him at full speed.

In this case, I thought that the seekers of destruction were not omnipotent. Because there was no perfect identification ability. The seeker of destruction reacts more strongly to the target that Aiden recognizes as a demon.

Of course, he subtly sensed the black blood of his opponent. Just like how he smelled Daryl, who was half a horse. Hana Aiden did not feel the slightest revulsion when facing Tyrun.

Are you saying you didn’t drink blood? Whatever it was, it had to be captured.

The fact that he possessed the blood of a vampire was itself a source of betrayal, and the purpose of revisiting the territory was unknown.

Tyrun was making his way through the village to the entrance. Aiden followed closely behind, but couldn’t narrow it beyond a certain distance.

The scenery changed swiftly. I passed through the entrance and entered the snowy forest outside the manor.

“Tyrun! If you stop now, I will give you the right to a formal trial!”

The paladin has the right of summary judgment. It was legal to kill him on the spot, but Aiden had a questionable corner, so he wanted to hear about the situation.

What if you came back with a different idea? If so, why are you running away?

“I said I would give you a chance!”

There was no answer coming back. The chase cannot continue like this. Aiden gave a final warning.

“This is your last chance to defend yourself! If you don’t stop, we will use force!”

Still silent answer. It was passing through a winding forest and entering a plateau.

Aiden grabbed Gargantua.

After aiming in a straight line with Tyrun, I breathed divine power into it.

The holy spear stretched out in an instant and shot straight at the body.

Wedge love! It pierced Tyrun’s shoulder blade leaving a hole in the air.

A scream of pain rang out. Aiden immediately pulled the spear and knocked him off the horse.

Tyrun rolled over and left bloodstains in the snow.

It wasn’t black blood. However, there were too many demons that could hide their complexion. not even proof

Aiden took the holy spear and dismounted.

Tyrun sat down with one hand on the ground. Aiden approached him slowly.

The name of the sword rang bleakly. I brought the holy sword to the tip of his chin.

Tyrun lifted his chin to avoid the blade. I met eyes with Aiden.

“You ran away. Do you think he admitted to the charges?”

His expression sank somewhat aloof.

“I have committed a terrible sin. I can’t even wash it now.”

“Tell me all the sins you have committed.”

Tyrun laughed as if he had collapsed.

“The incompetent and weak worms did not even know what to do with it. That greed drove my men to their deaths and forced me to compromise with evil. Is that all? I begged the devil for my life to survive.”

“So, are you saying you became a vampire or not? Speak straight.”

Tyrune glanced down at the point of the knife aimed at her chin, then turned to Aiden.

“What do you think?”

Aiden frowned.

“It’s something to check.”

The moment he was about to infuse divine power, Tyrun drew his sword in an instant and cut Aiden’s holy sword.

Then he rolled back and stood up, grasping the sword with both hands. A chill seeped into Tyrun’s pierced shoulders. he frowned.

Aiden laughed incredulously.

“Are you going to fight like that?”

As for Aiden, even if Tyrun was in the best condition, he had the confidence to subdue him without swinging his sword. It wasn’t just pride, it was the truth.

Tyrun knew that fact better than anyone else. However, he was sincere.

“My wish is to mix the gung and the knife once. Join us once before you die.”

“What are you thinking?”

“If you defeat me, I will answer everything.”

“It’s easy.”

Aiden burst into a halo. As he hit the ground, snowflakes flew behind him. The distance narrowed in an instant. Tyrun’s eyes barely followed the movement.

Aiden swung his holy sword.

Tyrun struggled to block the sword path that started at the waist and climbed diagonally.

Ting! Sparks flew with a metallic sound. Tyrun’s new model could not overcome the repulsive force and flew to the right.

Aiden immediately chased after him and struck the floating body with his holy sword.

The shock sound made tinnitus. Tyrun plummeted to the ground and was buried in the snow.

His holy chest was completely crushed. The blood that Tyrun vomited from his mouth stained the snowfield red.

The skill gap was overwhelming. It was a level far beyond Tyrun’s imagination, so there was no room for resistance.

Aiden grabbed him by the neck and lifted him up.

“Isn’t this enough?”

Tyrun gagged and looked down at Iden with a resigned eye.

Thinking of burning him to death if he drank his blood, Aiden blew holy power into his grip. However, there was no reaction from Tyrun.

‘I guess he hasn’t drunk yet.’

He slammed Tyrun to the ground.

He coughed violently and vomited.

“Even if you’re not a vampire, you’re a renegade. As you said, I compromised with the devil and begged for my life. However, I don’t know why he came back. tell me As promised, I defeated you.”

Tyrun took a moment to catch his breath, then slowly opened his mouth.

“I wanted to die as a paladin. You won’t believe it.”

Iden narrowed his brows.

“right. I can’t believe it because I don’t understand it at all. You took blood, so are you going to say that you changed your mind?”

“I have no intention of denying my sins. However, it is also true that this nasty idiot was capricious.”

He laughed as if he was frustrated.

“I couldn’t bear to put it in my mouth. Also, the image of me who was kneeling at the feet of the devil kept appearing in my dreams.”

Tyrun wanted to be freed from guilt. The remorse that forced his subordinates to limb and compromised with the devil to survive alone haunted him.

I knew very well that these were words of Ho Seung-sim that did not fit the rank.

“So you came back here. The mutants will try to test me again. I wanted to overcome and fight. I would have been defeated, of course, but I believed I could die as a paladin. Until we arrive at the estate.”

Iden was there. The existence that stimulated his inferiority the most had already put an end to all situations.

Even washing away sins was not allowed to Tyrun.

“It is irresponsible. After all, aren’t you sacrificing the people to get rid of your petty guilt?”

Aiden judged that the motive for his return was not with the terrible lives of the people in mind.

If I wanted to save them, I would have mustered my forces somehow. Even if the church did not support it, it was good to hire good adventurers or demon hunters.

There was no room for excuses, as the amount was more than enough to cover the amount even if only the private residence of Seonghwangguk was disposed of.

“Even though I’m a filthy bastard, I’m not that kind of bug kid.”

Tyrun smiled bitterly.

“I have placed a vial of dark blood and a document detailing the crimes committed on my desk in my office.”

Aiden’s stiff expression moved subtly.

“The Aspects should be chasing me by now.”

The Holy Widow was the general term for the execution units under the direct control of the Holy Assembly.

A special purpose unit that Iden has yet to encounter. They almost met in Serengal, but there was no direct interaction because Sistina and Priest Vandel were entrusted with taking over the demons.

However, I wanted to face them this time.

This is because the Aspects intervene unconditionally in these matters.

Punishment of defectors. The target they set could never survive.

“…is it true?”

“Believe me. I thought they would be able to subdue mutants and survive.”

The Aspect won’t come all the way to the north to destroy a demon farm, but if it’s a route through, they won’t turn a blind eye. It was Tyrun’s judgment.

“You will surely die.”

“I didn’t know they would kill me. hahahaha···”

Aiden’s head started to get complicated. If Tyrun’s story is really true, does he really have to die? It was true that he begged for his life from the devil, defamed the paladin, and struggled with temptation.

I was repenting for a sin. In addition, he tried to pay the price and did not forget the people.

Of course, the Aspect and Church couldn’t show mercy for that reason.

My brain was throbbing with pain. Aiden let out a deep sigh.

“Why did you run away?”

“I was ashamed. As I was running, I thought it would be better to die from Kyung. He’s a bad guy to the end.”

Tyrun laughed and looked up at the sky.

“My God, your servant is so ugly. never forgive me.”

After searching for God for a long time, he hardened his expression calmly and lowered his head.

“My excuses end with this, so please kill me.”

Aiden gripped the handle of the holy sword. Because I couldn’t find the answer.

Tyrun’s death is almost a fait accompli, so it might be better to slit his head right here.

A corner of my heart was warmed. I didn’t know if the act of executing him was really the right thing to do.

Ruined the paladin’s honor? That might be the reason for the church, but for Aiden, it was okay.

The act of begging for the life of the paladin itself was obviously a sin, but I thought that it might be appropriate to pay for it with death.

Of course, from the perspective of this world, he deserved to die. However, the two years I spent here was a difficult time for me to fully assimilate to such ideas.

At some point, he felt a sense of belonging to the position of a paladin. He hadn’t forgotten who he was either.

Values collide in my head. While those thoughts continued, the atmosphere screamed.

Iden reflexively snatched something that whirled toward Tyrun.

It was a hatchet. When I turned my head, three people were walking. The woman in the lead suddenly ran like crazy.

The woman who ran like a shotgun was small, but carried two battle axes larger than her body on her back.

It was a Valkyrie (female paladin). As a famous name, Iden was also familiar with him.

She stared at Iden, very excited.

“Oh, Sir Aiden?”

Aiden lowered his head slightly. She had a bright smile.

“Hey, I really wanted to see you. I pride myself on being good at crushing bone pain, but your skills are truly… an art. It’s an honor to meet you. My name is Valkyrie and Shiron.”

Saying that, Shiron took out a huge ax from behind and looked at Tyrun.
